Best Long-Haul flying shoes.

Shockingly light and confortable. These are the perfect shoes for flying in an airport, because they are easy to remove and put on with minimal fuss. When unlocking the pulls, the shoes allow for considerable breathing room so that as your feet swell, you dont need to remove them (Which for hygiene purposes inside of an airplane is fantastic). When you get to your destination, pull the locking mechanism lightly and you can pull slightly more as your feet decompress. They feel amazing when making your run through customs and hitting the city. This is my wife's first pair and she is happy. I personally also enjoy my 2020's as well.

I've owned pretty much each edition of the Vapormax and have to say these are easily the best. I read and watched lots of reviews beforehand and was in two minds whether to buy. ASOS then discounted and I went ahead. They great! They're true to size, the upper is especially comfortable. The lace mechanism works fine for me which makes them super easy to pull tight or loosen. Finally I am Ok with the new sole layout, much more stable then the previous vapormax models. I probably won't run in them but to wear all day they are very comfortable. My only niggle (as with other vapormax) is the squeaking when you walk!

Overall pleased with the shoe and would recommend. Shoe is comfortable and fit is true to size. At first I was a little apprehensive to purchase because of the lacing system. A shoe string breaks and it costs a $1, big deal. I don’t even know if this system is fixable by the consumer. In any event I chatted with Nike online support and they stated that they warranty their shoes from defect for 2 years… that’s good enough for me. If I did have one knock on the shoe is that it seems like the lacing system loosens up from when you initially “tie” the shoe. Like it doesn’t hold the snug/tight fit you may prefer. It’s easy enough to re-tighten it but imagine with regular shoe laces having to tie you laces a handful of times per day. Good, experimental, but could be better.

I bought the Nike Air VaporMax 2020 FK By You Custom Lifestyle Shoe, size 11.I am 6'2" and weight about 175lb. I typically wear between 10.5 or 11. But because This design doesn't have any stretch to the fabric, I chose the larger size. However, I think running true to size—10.5—would be better for me.The fits should be the same even though mine was By You Custom, so I am leaving my honest review here. What I like:1. The materials feel great even though they are made of recycled material.2. The Air Vapormax cushion is the same as what you would expect.3. The laceless design. The pull-to-tighten action is really simple to do.What I don't like:1. I miss the strechyness of Flyknit material. The pull-to-tighten action is really simple to do.What I don't like:1. I miss the strechyness of Flyknit material. I am so used to sock-like upper fabric that wearing this feels restricted.2. The Vapormax cushion has the same issue as before—it does not provide enough stability on the heel. If I run in these, I may get heel injuries. Consider this as lifestyle shoes.3. The laceless mechanism doesn't go beyond certain tightness. Essentially You can't pull the strings as tight as you could with a normal lace. Because I bought half a size larger, sometimes I feel like my shoes are not that secured.4. The second bad thing about the mechanism is that I am afraid it might break one day. It hosts a lot of tension inside the little box, and I assume majority of the materials are made of plastic... If the tighten box breaks, then this pair might see its end. While the design looks great, and the material feels premium, I would love to see Nike come out with another version that takes out or revise the lace mechanism. Otherwise, this design only scores 3 stars in my opinion.

Great shoes. These shoes are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. They have a definite bouncyness with every step and when jogging or running Its more intense. Easy to tighten and loosen. Flyknit material is breathelable and fits well. Keeps feet warm and dry. No complaints here. I could not say anything bad about these shoes. They are totally awesome. I'd your looking for great running or walking shoes that are light weight and fit well. This is it. I could only tell you from my experience they are great. I can wear these shoes all day long no problem.

Like wearing socks, so COMFY!
1 October 2020

When I saw Nike was trying to have some earth friendly options, I wanted to support that. I had been hearing my friend talk about how the flyknit vapormax are basically like not even wearing shoes they are like wearing socks because they are just that comfortable. We work on our feet for 8 hours+ 6 days a week, these shoes keep your feet at a nice temperature while the air bubbles help absorb the shock from standing/lifting on your feet. I love the air bubble soles they are so light and add a little bounce to your step. Definitely recommend! They run slightly big but not so much that I would recommend getting a smaller size unless shoes are often a bit big on you. I have coworkers that say they are durable as long as you are not stepping on to much sharp stuff.

Regretful purchase
2 April 2021

Terrible. So about a month or so ago, I purchased these shoes expecting great support in my feet and due to being in the army, which has about ruined my knees and my feet and my job now requires standing on my feet all day these seemed like a sure thing. Boy how I was wrong, the device to tighten them, does not tighten them as they should. The device to loosen them digs into the top of your feet while they are on and tight. Then periodically throughout my 8 hour shift at work I have to tighten the shoes atleast 8/10 times. I took a gamble buying these shoes due to all the complaints I heard about vapor max shoes being uncomfortable but these seemed different due to the redesign of the soles and all that. I’m displeased I cannot return them and it’s a bummer. I returned them! They looked used when I received them. One sneaker wasn't stuff with tissue or cardboard and the other has very little tissue only they weren't wrapped in tissue either. They looked like someone just took them off of their feet, put them in the box and sent them to me. I was excited receive them and wear them to a upcoming outside party but no such luck! Finish line's customer service was less than understanding and in my opinion did not try to accommodate me for their mistake. They wanted me to rush to UPS to return them in order for them to send me a new pair as if I don't work and have a homeschooling child at home. It's not like they didn't have my information. They could have charged me for the second pair if I didn't return the first pair. Long story short , they were poorly packaged, I returned them, refund came quicky and I'm out of a pair of sneakers that I wanted because as I was afraid of they sold out in my size.

Wanted to love it... but C'mon NIke!!!

So LOVE the design and sustainability story. BUT the design for the tightening system needs WAY more thought put into it. It barely tightens at all. Considering that the upper body is completely stretch knit there needs to be way more tightening/adjustment. So if you want to feel like your foot is secure you'd need to size down substantially. This is a true design error with not enough thought in the FIT and function of the shoe over time. The more you wear this shoe the more it will stretch out, and without a proper tightening/lacing system you're going to have a loosey goosey shoe. and guess where that shoe will end up... a landfill... thus creating a need for a new shoe faster... (not very sustainable if you think of it that way). So, design story, and looks ... MoreSo LOVE the design and sustainability story. I purchase this shoes couple of days ago. As most of the reviews have negative comments about the shoes not being tight, I like them not tight but that’s because I have multiple sclerosis and especially during summer time my feet are triple size.Other ways I would’ve probably not like that. I stopped wearing Niki 2008 because my last pair at that time hurt my heel badly. I have to return them, even though they look so cute. I don’t want to return them but I have to. They are way too expensive for no comfort and just keep them without wearing them.I’m really sorry that I cant keep them. I wish I can make them work.I’m getting annoying ;)
