Best Long-Haul flying shoes.

Shockingly light and confortable. These are the perfect shoes for flying in an airport, because they are easy to remove and put on with minimal fuss. When unlocking the pulls, the shoes allow for considerable breathing room so that as your feet swell, you dont need to remove them (Which for hygiene purposes inside of an airplane is fantastic). When you get to your destination, pull the locking mechanism lightly and you can pull slightly more as your feet decompress. They feel amazing when making your run through customs and hitting the city. This is my wife's first pair and she is happy. I personally also enjoy my 2020's as well.

I have never had a bubble pop on me. I used these sneakers for light walking and just-style. I purchased these sneakers in May 2021 and by August 2021 the sneaker is not good to use anymore. When I walk the entire back of the sneaker deflates and I am extremely disappointed in my money being wasted. Never in 20 years have of personally buying nikes have I experienced this.

I have been a big VaporMax fan since the very first model. The idea of a sole composed entirely of air to avoid the breakdown of foam and other materials was awesome. It worked out in real life too. I wore my VaprMax 1.0s until the uppers fell apart, but the soles are still so good I am thinking about putting a new upper on them. When the 2020s were announced, I was so excited I overpaid to get them early. I love technological innovation on shoes, even if it is a little gimmicky. The lacing system on these shoes is similar in function to the Space Hippie 03. Unfortunately, it is minimally effective and mostly gimmicky. The laces provide no support, they do not tighten very much, and the box is somewhat uncomfortable on the top of your foot. Consequentially, I would purchase a half size down if you want snug fit for running etc. However, I still like these shoes because they are comfortable for walking when worn somewhat loose and they look absolutely great. I have full confidence in the durability of the sole (which looks even more robust than the 1.0s), but I am not sure about the upper. Plus, I am a sucker for a good gimmick.

Like wearing socks, so COMFY!
1 October 2020

When I saw Nike was trying to have some earth friendly options, I wanted to support that. I had been hearing my friend talk about how the flyknit vapormax are basically like not even wearing shoes they are like wearing socks because they are just that comfortable. We work on our feet for 8 hours+ 6 days a week, these shoes keep your feet at a nice temperature while the air bubbles help absorb the shock from standing/lifting on your feet. I love the air bubble soles they are so light and add a little bounce to your step. Definitely recommend! They run slightly big but not so much that I would recommend getting a smaller size unless shoes are often a bit big on you. I have coworkers that say they are durable as long as you are not stepping on to much sharp stuff.

Skeptical about the "Release"
16 January 2021

I was skeptical about the release of the shoe because the shoe looked like the self-lacing system was "for show" for the first few months, but I was proven wrong? I pose an interrogative statement because I've had these shoes for a day and a half, and I almost returned the shoes because I thought the "release" system was broken. It wasn't until I wore the shoe that it worked! And very well. It is true what people say, the longer you walk, the looser it can become. However, I have big feet, so these shoes aren't coming off that easy. We will see how long these last. The laces appear irreplaceable, so it someone or something cuts it... you're kinda out of luck. Now I'm skeptical about the next "Release."

So sad to give such a poor review...

Let me start by saying I am a Nike sneaker fanatic and have and love the Vapormax Moc 2's from a few years ago - they are comfortable and I love them for running. However, I bought these as a replacement for them as the soles have worn down and they are plain AWFUL and it pains me to write that about them. The color, to start, is not black - it's a dark grey which is most visible once you're already outside in the sunlight. The worst part though, to me, is that they gave me blisters on the arch of my foot within two miles on the very first run I took in them as the inside sole is like three separate pieces none of which are sewn together, so they just stick up in weird ways and dig into your foot. I didn't have any issues with the back of the shoe as others did, but ... MoreLet me start by saying I am a Nike sneaker fanatic and have and love the Vapormax Moc 2's from a few years ago - they are comfortable and I love them for running. Wanted to Love These
6 August 2020

Love the concept and many of the design elements are super cool. Ultimately though, I did not love the colorway at all (too rainbow for my taste... but that's just me). The lacing mechanism is really cool looking, but it didn't work well. I have narrow feet and need my laces to stay pretty tight and these kept loosening up. So while I love some of the post-apocalyptic trash details, these were a miss for me, especially at this price point. Would love to see this in a more subtle colorway with pops of color from the recycled bits and a more functional lacing system. Three stars for a most excellent concept that need a little work on the execution.

Wanted to love it... but C'mon NIke!!!

So LOVE the design and sustainability story. BUT the design for the tightening system needs WAY more thought put into it. It barely tightens at all. Considering that the upper body is completely stretch knit there needs to be way more tightening/adjustment. So if you want to feel like your foot is secure you'd need to size down substantially. This is a true design error with not enough thought in the FIT and function of the shoe over time. The more you wear this shoe the more it will stretch out, and without a proper tightening/lacing system you're going to have a loosey goosey shoe. and guess where that shoe will end up... a landfill... thus creating a need for a new shoe faster... (not very sustainable if you think of it that way). So, design story, and looks ... MoreSo LOVE the design and sustainability story. Nike, i appreciate the cool factor.... but I expected better in an actual functioning shoe (the vapor max regular has much better fit, why make it worse on this shoe???).

cute shoe

Got the platinum multi-color. Looks like a funfetti cake. Anyway....cute looking shoe. My first trying this style. Love that the whole shoe is fabric & literally feels like wearing a sock. These feel really good on my feet even though I find them a smidge too narrow for my tastes. And for the price I guess I expect better fit. I have no problem spending $200 on shoes but at that price point there’s just an expectation that needs to be met. As cute & comfy as they are....they look grungy. What annoys me? The God awful advice in these reviews about sizing. Some of y’all most likely don’t know the first thing about sizes, let alone shoe sizes with how many 7.5s saying these run small. And it’s beyond annoying. I’m sticking to my gut about Nike sizes and ordering a ... MoreGot the platinum multi-color. Looks like a funfetti cake. Anyway....cute looking shoe. I’m sticking to my gut about Nike sizes and ordering a half size up from now on. I’m a 7.5 according to the shoe size device used to measure feet in stores. But my toe hits the edge of the shoe & the arches are offset so I get 8’s & they’re perfect. YES! These are true to size so unless you want your big toe hitting the edge of the shoe order up. Now to return these because there’s just no way I can deal with offset arches.

very disappointed

I purchase this shoes couple of days ago. As most of the reviews have negative comments about the shoes not being tight, I like them not tight but that’s because I have multiple sclerosis and especially during summer time my feet are triple size.Other ways I would’ve probably not like that. I stopped wearing Niki 2008 because my last pair at that time hurt my heel badly. Since 2008 I started wearing ASIC and couple of days ago I thought I like the look of the Air Vapor Max2020 I’ll give it a try. The first day I have them on my feet for 20-25 minutes at home and I have to take them off. My feet hurt so bad. The next day I thought I’ll try again.... same. They have no support. I have to return them, even though they look so cute. I don’t want to return them but I have to. They are way too expensive for no comfort and just keep them without wearing them.I’m really sorry that I cant keep them. I wish I can make them work.I’m getting annoying ;)
