First off, the air is very bouncy. That's fun.I have a pair of the original VaporMax from 2017, and the new version feels like an upgrade. The Flyknit feels more substantial, a little thicker and more durable, but without feeling heavier or less breathable. The insole is more breathable and the tongue is thicker, which is much better because of the reduced lace pressure across the top of the feet. Also the laces are thicker and round instead of flat and thin. They definitely improved on the OG. They feel more stable underfoot than the original version, to the point that I thought they were lower-profile, but I took out the old pair for a side-by-side comparison and they appear to be the same height. You can't even call them "sneakers", because you are not sneaking anywhere with these things on. I'm sure there's a great reason for them to have chosen this specific type of material, but the squeak/clack noise is maddening and makes me want to quickly scurry to a different surface so that I can't hear it anymore. That's my only complaint about the shoe.Other than that, just a warning for flat-footers. There is zero arch support and the instep will end up looking like a muffin top.

I am a huge flyknit shoe collector since it first debut early 2012 and I was also a fan of the vapormax when it first debut so what better way to have the best of both worlds in one shoe! The show has all the styles and design like it should, narrow style with interweaving strands which makes the shoe light, airy and stylish. Since the sole has the vapormax design, it makes it feel like walking on cushions. Combining both materials make this shoe quite light. I've made this shoe a daily rotation since its so comfy and easy to wear but after wearing it now for several weeks, I am sadden to say that its beginning to be less comfortable so I'm not sure if the material seems to wear out much quickly since it is made with 100% recycled or the fact that its too thin which ... MoreI am a huge flyknit shoe collector since it first debut early 2012 and I was also a fan of the vapormax when it first debut so what better way to have the best of both worlds in one shoe! The positive thing about the shoe is that it can be very stretchy and flexes so you can put your foot in very quickly. The nice touch to also not have to wear socks is a plus. The design is very eye catchy that I noticed people were asking what shoe I was wearing so Nike haven't lost its touch! Overall wonderful shoe but with a very steep price.

I am pleasantly surprised by the Nike vapormax. I've always seen the shoe and thought it would be cumbersome. After wearing them for a few weeks and having the chance to work out in them, I know that isn't the case. The fly knit and lightweight sole are perfect for any physical activity. The shoes seem durable and using renewable materials make the shoes more appealing for me.I love the black and white color scheme. They are able to be styled with more than just gym gear. I've worn them to run errands, go out to lunch, and complete chores around the house. I never thought the vapormax model would be this light, comfortable, and versatile.I'm glad I took the chance to experience the shoe for myself instead of judging the shoe on perception alone. Let’s just start by saying wow! These shoes fit like a glove and feel like you’re walking on clouds! The colorway of this shoe (“Black/White-White-Black”) is on point with the design! These shoes look absolutely amazing on your feet and the flyknit material is incredibly breathable and feels like you’re wearing next to nothing! These shoes can be worn with just about any outfit in the gym and compliment a large majority of your casual outfits outside the gym. You can be on your feet the entire day and forget that you’re even wearing these shoes! I’ve always been a huge fan of the Vapormax shoes so it’s hard for me to find any flaws in these shoes! I would absolutely recommend these shoes to anyone looking to add a nice shoe to their gym or casual attire! I’ve already talked a few of my friends into getting their own pairs after seeing mine! These are a 10/10 for me!
I purchased the Nike Vapormax 3 months ago. This is my first pair of Vaormax. I had heard good things about them and decided to try them for myself. The shoe is narrow and I would not recommend performing any dynamic sport or activities as there would be a high risk of ankle injuries. Several people have commented on how narrow they look on my feet. They will be a casual shoe for me that I will wear mainly at work or just walking. They are stiff out of the box but have loosened a little with wear. The tongue portion of the shoe is short and the laces almost lay on the top edge of the tongue. I would recommend for a casual shoe but not for dynamic sport participation.

Starting with the good, aesthetically they hit it out of the park. This shoe is the logical conclusion of the effort to fit as much air as possible into a shoe.Translucent elements are everywhere and the whole shoe looks sleek and futuristic. You can even see light through the bottom of the shoe through the neat little holes they’ve placed in the insole. The upper is Flyknit at its finest, securely holding your foot whether it’s narrow or higher volume (like mine) while allowing ample ventilation. The lining in the shoe and particularly around the foot opening is nice and soft too so even if you wear no-shoe socks, you should have no issues with rubbing there. The shoe is well constructed and i struggled to find any flaws or extra glue anywhere.Cushioning is ... MoreStarting with the good, aesthetically they hit it out of the park. Grip is fine and certainly good enough for a lifestyle shoe.I wore this shoe for a few hours and it was fine. I would benefit from a slightly wider sole but if you don’t have a wide foot it’ll probably be perfect. For all the good about this shoe, I was disappointed by how loud it is. It has a unique sound walking on pavement, but walking over hard floors, particularly linoleum or tile makes a constant “clop-squeak” with every step that will have you looking for carpeted surfaces. It’s possible it won’t bother you or you’ll just get used to it but it definitely wouldn’t be the shoe for when you want to be stealthy. On the whole I like the Vapormax and it checks many boxes but I’m hoping that somehow they quiet down over time.
I bought these about a month or so ago (on sale so I thought I'd try them). Only pros I can find is that they are stylish. What I don't like is that they insoles come out just taking them off (or scrunches easy, putting them on). The insoles (and "vaporfly" soles) seem to offer no cushion or bounce. I've had other Nike running (& walking shoes) that offer more and give you like a bounce with every contact. I also seem to be stepping into a hard floor with these shoes insoles/soles with that no cushion bit. The "vaporfly" soles also seem to give pressure at where they attach to the bottom of the shoe, so I feel like there's something hard on my sole rather than the whole shoe's sole creating a more cradling effect for my whole foot's sole.
I have always been a fan of any racer/flyknit Nike trainer, these are the first pair I've worn with a vapormax sole. On first wear the flyknit upper is much nicer than I remember as they have added padding to the heel cup and tongue for added support and comfort, as for the vapormax sole it was comfortable for the first few hours of wear while at work but eventually the notches within the pattern would dig into the ball of my foot and on the lateral side of the heel. I gave them another shot at the gym and went running and thats where these really shined, the amount of support these shoes give you from heel strike to toe drag is incomparable, its like I was running on clouds. The upper is breathable flyknit that shapes directly to your foot, but it does not stop your foot from rolling over the side of the shoe much if you decide to use it for activities that require quick stop and go. The design is the shoe is excellent and comes in eye catching color blocking that fit any style. I have some what wider feet, I believe for others who may have more narrow foot anatomy these would definitely be comfortable for all day long, but for me 8 hours is a max. If I could change anything about the shoe it would be adding some support on the lateral and medial sides of the upper to kind of enclose the shoe a bit to prevent rolling over the sole when moving quickly.
Beautifully designed and well constructed shoe. The obvious visual selling point is the Air unit that runs the entirety length of the bottom of the shoe. Visually it’s like the Air Max 270s on steroids. The shoe feels as good as it looks. It’s what you’d expect, like walking on air, well cushioned and really puts a bounce in your step. The Flyknit upper is comfortable around the ankle and provides more than enough support. These shoes were definitely made to walk long distances, comfort does not fade. Other than some noisiness coming from the what I would expect to be the Air unit, there is not much to complain about with these shoes. I’m hoping to see some additional color options released in the near future. Overall, the Air VaporMax are a great lifestyle shoe all ... MoreBeautifully designed and well constructed shoe.
