Nike Air VaporMax - White

The lightest, most flexible version of Max Air to date, the Nike Air VaporMax Flyknit eliminates excess and leaves just want you need in one revolutionary silhouette. 30 years after Tinker Hatfield designed the first visible Max Air bag, Nike has once again revolutionized their staple cushioning system, shedding weight and maximizing flexibility to create their most comfortable ride and powerful style statement yet. The VaporMax begins with a seamless, one-piece Flyknit upper that fits like a sock, moving with your foot as you run. Flywire cables are woven into the upper, allowing you to adjust your level of support and lockdown through the shoe's laces. Almost all layers between the foot and VaporMax Air have been eliminated, drastically cutting down on weight and delivering responsive ground feel. The full-length VaporMax Air midsole is segmented for increased flexibility and full, natural range of motion you have to feel to believe. The full package is a head-turning new addition to Nike's Air Max line and a must-have for serious runners and trendsetters alike. One-piece Flyknit upper with Flywire cables embedded in the knit for a snug, sock-like fit and adjustable lockdown. No-sew overlays at the toe tip and heel for lightweight structure and durability. VaporMax Air midsole technology provides lightweight cushioning only where you need it and returns energy with every step. Rubber pods in high-wear areas of the outsole for durable traction without added weight slowing you down.

After 5 days I'm looking to get buy a 2nd pair

I bought these originally b/c I got sucked into a sneaker culture forum and got hooked on cool gym shoes. I am not a runner, but I workout at the gym and like to walk a lot. I liked their look and since I enjoyed my AirMax for daily use I thought I'd spend the money and try these. They're unbelievably comfortable and I cannot say enough about how pleased I am. They're very stiff at first but by day 2 they become pliable and soft. They do not bounce *at all* like the video when you first try them on. Great looking shoe. Nike advertises it as one of their best running shoes. It’s not. This show is solely siting down or driving ur car. No made for walking definitely not running. I loved them so much I wanted to keep them for show... but that doesn’t make sense. I tried inserting $50 insoles in the shoe which made the shoe more comfortable but... i couldn’t Fathom paying for a $50 insole on top of a $190. i am a Soldier in the US Army and all we do is run, so I definitely am not a inexperienced runner we run about 12-14 miles per week. So having a high performance shoe with comfort was critical in my shopping process. I’m just sad I could not hang on to the shoe and had to return them. Anyways DONT BUY!

I purchased this item in 2 different sizes. A size 13 and 14 (I really need a 13.5, but we all know Nike don’t make those sizes). The shoe looks great! I love what Nike did with this. Only thing, my left foot slightly sides/leans to the inside. Since the top is all flyknit, my foot would slide off the top of the bubble. On my right foot, it fits great! But that’s my personal issues... the shoe does have a squeak to it when walking on tile, kitchen floors, etc. I’m 6’1, 220. Not sure if it will squeak for smaller folks, but it’s worth a try. I would recommend it, but beware of the squeak and a new fit for a running/training shoe.

Shoes need break-in
21 August 2017

The first time I wore it, my feet felt awkward. Felt no support where my foot wants it. Almost returned it after 5 days of trial. After the first week break-in, the airbox outsole start contouring to my feet. Now, I am very satisfied with the shoes's light weight, breathable, flexibility and cushioning air box.The air outsole is not a continuous piece like normal shoes. The outsole welded with several detached airboxes. At first, your foot palm may rest on the gap between airboxes and feel no support. After the shoes break-in, the foot palm's weight will distribute evenly onto the outsole.

The Hype is Very Real
3 October 2017

If you love the flyknit racers and how those feel, you will be no stranger to the vapormax. The upper is very similar to a racer, just more durable. The air max unit takes awhile to get used too. I would say it has taken me a week to break these shoes in. Once I did, it was very comfortable. I do have a narrow foot, so I would not recommend the shoe to someone that traditionally runs wide. I haven't ran in these nor do I plan to. As a daily walking shoe and as a shoe to make the sneaker heads look twice is good enough for me. Would look forward to a Nike Shield edition, that would be a nice touch. The Nike Air Vapormax Flyknit is definitely a must buy if you are looking for new switch up to your shoe library, maybe wait for more colors.

They Look Great But Are Very Uncomfortable
17 March 2018

As some of the viewers have stated, they look great and are very appealing. However, they are probably the most uncomfortable shoe I've ever worn. No matter if the size is regular or larger (as I bought a second pair thinking a size up would help) than my normal size, they seem to squeeze and pinch my feet. I haven't even got over one hour of wearing them without having to switch shoes. I just don't understand, I've had many Nike shoes in my life, including five different styles right now, and these are by far the worst when it comes to comfort, whether it's walking, running, or just standing still. There are glimpses when I could see how they could be comfortable, and even great, when I do feel the bottoms giving way for a "walk on air" feel. Please fix these in ... MoreAs some of the viewers have stated, they look great and are very appealing. However, they are probably the most uncomfortable shoe I've ever worn. Please fix these in the next go around, as I would love to buy a pair that provides a high level of comfort without the high level of foot pain.

They're here
9 August 2017

As a Air Max fan I had to have a pair of these bad boys. I did get the "Explorer" style upon the drop. What a month or two (summer 2017) of some of the best styles dropped by Nike. Back to this air, it is different from all of the other Air Max. If you don't own a pair, stop sleeping on these. Although these don't last long on shelves or online, good luck. Now about the size and fit, IMO, slightly narrow and true to size. However if you wear thicker socks you need to go a half size up. The material is very stretchy so break em in. Give it a try, you can always return it in 30 days if its not a good match for your feet. These are the lightest airs I own including all my other flyknit kicks. Great invention on these. Thanks Nike team of scientists!

Uneven Wear
24 September 2017

The shoes are amazingly light, super cushioned, and fun to run in. The downside has everything to do with durability and build quality. I have worn Nike Air Max for years and the Free Run line for quite some time as well. The sole pads on my right shoe feel softer and more malleable than the left shoe. After two months of running the right shoe shows excessive wear while the left shoe is still looking brand new. With these results you would probably read this and say it is the way I run, not the shoe that is to blame. These are the only shoes I have owned and run in that show these uneven results.I sent the shoes in to Nike to be inspected and was told that the build quality is fine and free of defects.I will run in them until they wear down completely to get my ... MoreThe shoes are amazingly light, super cushioned, and fun to run in. Vapormaaaaaax
19 October 2017

The Vapormax has a sleek look and a smooth fit that reminds me of having cleats on. The fitment is smooth and true to size with give in all the right places. I see some reviews saying the shoe needs to be broken in but for me that was not the case. My feet felt right at home in these shoes! The material is very breathable and comfortable while still providing ample support. The absence of a midsole gives a great feel for the motion of moving around in them, definitely a plus! I have a pair in triple noir and will definitely look to get the cookies and cream colorway that is coming out soon. Great shoe!!
