From rain and mud to sunny afternoons, the Wildwood debuted in 1989 as a direct descendent of the Nike Escape. With design influence from the Pegasus, it was designed as an off-road sneaker meant to take you through rough terrain. The special sawtooth Waffle outsole was further proof that conquering bad weather didn't mean drabness.

To those irritated that this shoe is not a plush AirMax bounce-house: This is basically an "approach shoe." It is not designed prioritizing spongy comfort. The stiff structure is intentional, and functional. It provides support and leverage while hiking/running on inconsistent off-trail terrain. And while by no means a climbing shoe, the stiffness will give you much more confidence for an impromptu climb or sketchy urban explore than the more pliable shoe you desire, and still bei much more comfortable and nimble (and stylish) than a hiking boot. If you have a job where you stand ALL DAY, or you just have sensitive, delicate feet that get hurt easily by walking in any shoe that isn't filled with soft foam and cushion, these are probably not the shoes for you. I like them though, and will probably grab another colorway now that I've worn them a bit.

I've never been disappointed by any Nike shoe I've purchased...until now. I work in a very casual industry that involves a lot of outdoor demo events, so being that these were ACG they seemed perfect. Good looking shoe that could be comfy as well as take the elements at said events. This shoe does look great (thus the 2 stars), but for a shoe that boasts being able to be in the outdoors (ACG) etc. it's the stiffest feeling material, the fit is very boxy feeling and don't hug your feet like most NIKE products tend to. Additionally the shoe feels like it lacks support and the soles are equally as stiff as the upper of the shoe making every step feel flat footed and kinda harsh. As I mentioned above they do look great and I work in a very casual environment so i'm ... MoreI've never been disappointed by any Nike shoe I've purchased...until now. Definitely won't make the travel schedule or even a casual hike with the dogs. ACG...yeah right.

I was looking for a casual shoe and this one attracted me. Was a nice clean design and it actually has a nice feel. I was expecting it'd be quite comfortable but there are some edgy spots on the shoe tongue and Achilles area that did not feel comfortable and am hoping it will just break-in through more usage. Also wish I had a Wide fit size. It's otherwise not an awful shoe.
This shoe looks great, but it is not comfortable at all. I was in desperate need of shoes, so I wore them once; very uncomfortable. I threw away the box, otherwise I would return them. I'll take the loss, but DO NOT BUY.
I ordered two pair of sneakers on Wednesday and received both pair on Friday. I recommend them love the styles and price want break you
My shoes are nice but they had a slight blemish in the toe are. I'm not sending them back because of the price but its kinda noticeable.
I've used these for some walks but no serious trail hiking yet. Like a couple of others I feel they're a little stiff but understand that stiffness may be necessary on trails. The heel has chafed a little so I'm hoping that will break in. A question: are these truly All-Condition (i.e. ACG), i.e. stay dry? Also I like the Mocs in the ACG line but want to know if they're water-resistant or -proof.
Shoe is very comfortable and the ACG line is always very durable and hard working. These are by far the best looking ACG kicks I've ever had!!
First it is a great looking shoe, 2nd its probably a tad over priced. the shoe is uncomfortable for an ACG shoe. should be more padding. it is durable just not comfortable, if you really want these wait for them to go on sale.
