I am a size 5.5 women’s with a very high instep. My foot is wide but my heels are narrow. I have a difficult time finding running shoes that don’t slip in the heel and/or have good arch support. I have at least 5 pair of Nikes that sit in my closet, rarely worn. Enter the Nike Air Zoom Alphafly Flyknit! Holy moly these feel amazing! They have a heel no-slip pad and amazing support. I want to wear them all the time! I don’t like the color combination though - wish the mid-sole was black instead of white. It’s distracting. Because my arch is so high, it’s a challenge putting these on. I need a shoe horn. But once they are on … perfect fit.

First off let me start by saying these are some of the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn. The amount of support and cushion this shoe provides is unmatched. The opening of the shoe is fairly narrow so they do require a bit of work to put on.They might not be the best shoe for someone with wider feet but for me they worked out great. I wore these shoes on a two mile run today and they were so light and comfortable I shaved time off of my run.The design of the shoe is good but not the best. I love the vibrant color and the lightness of the shoe but I am not in love with the spikey/pointy end of the shoe on the backside. While walking down the stairs the point would rub against the step I just came off of. I would say this is the only real downfall to this ... MoreFirst off let me start by saying these are some of the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn. Within the first 100 yards in my first run in the AF's I could tell that these were going to be different than any other running shoe I've ever worn in so many ways: fast, comfortable, fast, great ride/transition, fast, springy, fast, lighter than expected, fast, very good grip on wet pavement, fast...........did I say fast? Just walking around in these shoes before my first run they just didn't feel right compared to my Vaporfly 4%, Zoom Fly Flyknits for Turbo 2's: too tall, bulky, ugly (bright mango colorway is pretty hideous). However, these shoes take on a totally different personality when you actually start to run in them.First mile warm up at normal cadence the NRC app was telling me something I couldn't believe as I was 30 seconds faster without doing ... MoreWithin the first 100 yards in my first run in the AF's I could tell that these were going to be different than any other running shoe I've ever worn in so many ways: fast, comfortable, fast, great ride/transition, fast, springy, fast, lighter than expected, fast, very good grip on wet pavement, fast...........did I say fast? I was not planning to set a PB as I just wanted to get a feel for them first time out, but as I picked up the pace further into the run I got faster and faster as you can feel the shoes push/spring you forward. Sub 1:43 broke my 13.1 mile PB by 2 minutes (Revel half marathon my real previous PB down a mountain was broken by 4 seconds, but I consider that gravity aided and I was 3 years younger!) and was not at max effort. My legs and feet after the run were still "fresh," if you will, and the next day I didn't have the soreness that I usually get after runs this long. Absolutely amazing! Now, the hardest part of my review: the durability. I looked down during cool down and saw that a piece of tread on the rear of the left shoe had come unglued. What a major disappointment after just the first run and the $$$ spent on these shoes. I will applaud Nike for their 60 day return policy, though. On the suggestion during a live chat with a Nike rep, I purchased another pair and sent the defective shoes back for credit to expedite getting these shoes back on my feet in time for a scheduled Sunday long run. Otherwise, you will have to wait longer for Nike to receive the shoes back before processing the exchange.Should have been a 5 Star rating as these shoes are unlike anything I have ever run in and well worth the price if you are a serious runner (can you say "BQ"?). Already received the 2nd pair, so I hope I have a positive experience on the "2nd" run.

Feels like I’m weightless!
18 May 2022

I love anything sneaker related regardless of the comfort/functionality, but when I am active I am very careful about what I put on my feet. I have struggled with plantar fasciitis as well as weak joints in my ankles and knees since I was in elementary school, so naturally I need good quality running shoes. These were a pleasant surprise to me. My high arches feel supported and my ankles feel stable due to the shoe’s sculpted and hugging design. That snug feeling was a bit cumbersome to me when I was initially putting on the shoe. I am a size 7.5 and I have a more narrow foot. If you have wider feet, I would recommend sizing up. After getting the shoe on the fit is great. I felt weightless while I walked and the shoes are insanely light. Jump rope approved and Disneyland day trip approved too!
6 June 2022

I like to jump rope before starting my work and getting into my gym routine, and these were surprisingly very comfortable and light. I liked that they effortlessly helped me tip toe when jumping and the fact that they feel like they come with a slight insole to help with flat feet. I actually tested these out on a Disneyland trip. Not only where they extremely light to walk on, the mesh/product of the shoe helped with how hot and humid it was outside so it was very nice. Standing in line can cause some stress on knees and even the bottom of your feet but because of the insole and the way the shoe is shaped, it gets with balance and even lifting that strain off. I woke up the next day from my trip with very minimal foot and leg pain and I attribute it to these shoes. The only thing, the style of the shoe can be very unique and can also be very striking to some, but I like designs that are bold and different and not ordinary.

Like walking on a cloud.
13 May 2022

This is the most lightweight and most comfortable sneaker I’ve ever tried on. I am a huge fan of Nike’s flyknit styles, so I was really excited to get this pair to try out. This is unlike any sneaker style I’ve personally bought. The design is definitely very interesting and out there, so I really appreciate and like the design. I am obsessed with the color way, I love bright sneakers for when I’m working out. The front part of the sneaker adds a little oomph to your step when you’re running/walking that makes it feel like you’re on a cloud. This sneaker does add some height for us shortys, so thats nice but I’m used to buying “low” sneakers. I prefer them sock-less since the material is so thin…and because there’s actually decent ventilation lol.I don’t think anyone would regret this purchase.

Running/Walking on a Cloud

First, I will say I'm definitely not a superstar runner or even that athletic, but I am a mom to a little one and frequently go for long walks or jogs. I tend to look for a shoe that has plenty of support in the heel, and this has definitely got it! When first putting on the shoe, there was a bit of an adjustment as it does initially feel like you're walking with a platform shoe on due to the amount of cushion/support. It only took a few minutes to adjust though, and I quickly realized this is one of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. The outside material of the shoe is a bit ridged, making it a bit tricky to get the shoe on. However, the material is breathable and I noticed my feet are definitely less sweaty after a run/walk than with other shoes I've tried. There's no need to double-knot with this shoe, because the laces are woven in such a away to prevent them from untying - huge pro for me, because I hate having to double-knot shoes or stop mid-run to re-tie my sneakers. While there is plenty of support in the sole and heel of the shoe, I was a bit dissappointed there was not more support for the inside arch. This may not be the best shoe for those who pronate in when running/walking for that reason. Overall Pros: Excellent heal/sole support, Breathability, Sporty/Sleek design, No double-knotting required. Overall Cons: Difficult to put on, Bit bulky due to "platform" support, Lack of support for inside arch. Overall, I would say the Pro's definitely outweighs the Con's here and would recommend this shoe for both the avid athlete or just a frequent walker/jogger momma like me.

As someone who enjoys going on long runs both outside and on the treadmill I was looking for a shoe that was comfortable to wear for long periods but also durable and this checked both those boxes. It has a very responsive cushioning in the heel with a more sturdy unit in the front that almost feels like you’re being propelled forward when you run!In terms of look and feel. I personally believe running shoes should be vibrant in color so I loved the violet color. The Flyknit on the upper is rather rough in texture so I wouldn’t recommend wearing without socks and the snug nature of the upper makes it difficult to get on. Women’s Air Zoom Alphafly Next% Review

I may not be chasing marathon records, but I average between 15-20 miles per week of running outside or on my treadmill. I have always preferred the Nike Pegasus running shoe to get my runs in. As a result, I was super curious about my body’s response to the Women’s Air Zoom Alphafly Next% running shoes. The shoe's design is visually pleasing, and the color combination is the perfect mix of pink and purple hues against a black and gray backdrop. As I slipped my feet into the shoes, I immediately felt the snug pull of the breathable Flyknit material around my feet. The responsiveness of the Air Pods with every footstrike delivered the appropriate amount of power and energy needed for my run.Surprisingly, I completed my five-mile run in record time. The carbon fiber plate provided my feet with the support needed to complete my run comfortably. During my run, I encountered several slight road inclines, and the Air Zoom Alphafly Next% running shoes provided me with the proper support needed to tackle those road changes. I love the durability and lightweight feeling of the Air Zoom Alphafly Next% running shoes.I also trialed the Air Zoom Alphafly Next% running shoes on my treadmill to determine if the shoe’s responsiveness to my indoor run would be as outstanding as my outdoor run. The Air Zoom Alphafly Next% running shoes didn’t disappoint. The high toe-spring made my indoor run feel incredibly smooth and comfortable at various speeds and inclines. After running in the Air Zoom Alphafly Next% running shoes, I feel ready to take on longer runs to see how the shoes will support my distance running journey.I highly recommend these shoes to reach your running goals for a short or long run. They would even be great for a long walk around your favorite park!

to tell the whole truth, I went to the track to perform a test of running on haw this shoe performs and i was truly amazed how it propelled me up and down in perfect form and stride. Not only that my mile time improved by one minute! I ran another one to double check and it still was the same result. Usually after a run my right ankle hurts in the morning, but not after this because of the shoes balancing my pronation, kept my foot from slamming my heal. I love this shoe and will never wear anything else unless nike improves on it! Smokey Lofton
