The G.T. Cut 3 basketball shoes are designed to help you create space for stepback jumpers and backdoor cuts. The shoe's traction helps you stop and shift gears. Full-length ZoomX foam adds bounce into every step. The ZoomX foam is paired with a foam midsole. The Flywire cables integrate with the laces to help secure your forefoot. The stretchy, breathable material up top is lightweight and helps keep you cool. A padded collar at the Achilles helps your ankle feel comfortable, yet secure. The pattern on the G.T. Cut 3 is ideal for lateral cuts and quick changes in movement. A smaller plastic plate on the pinky-toe side of the forefoot helps keep your foot stable when making sudden movements. The shoe has a lace-up closure.

Very disappointed in the forefoot cushion. Too low to the ground. You don’t feel any type of softness, impact protection, or compression in the forefoot. The heel is alright, nothing too crazy since it’s caged. I can see the potential in these if they uncaged the Zoomx a lil more and made the zoom x a lot thicker in the forefoot and or add a zoom bag or zoom strobel. I don’t think they can ever top the first GT Cuts unless they start using their brains and common sense. The Sabrina 1s and Ja 1s have better feeling forefoot cushion and that says a lot about how lackluster the forefoot cushion of these are. Ima stick to the Jordan 38 lows

When you tie these, the laces grip onto themselves, which reduces the chance that they'll slip or come loose. It's a small, but welcome improvement. The inside of the collar has puffy inserts to keep your heel secured inside the shoe. The cushioning is firm and responsive, not as snappy as I usually prefer in Zoom, but I feel like they'll improve as they break in more. The traction was really good on a lightly dusty floor, so I'm sure they'd be excellent on a clean hardwood floor.-Design:I think I liked the G.T. Cut 1 more aesthetically, because they just looked so *fast*. But I like the G.T. Cut 3. It seems like a proper evolution from the 1 (not sure what happened with the 2 though, they're very different). The G.T. Cut 3 is pretty sleek. The sole is nice and wide, and feels very stable. I like how the TPU panel rises up from the midsole in the forefoot and integrates with the Flywire and aligns with the stitching on the upper. It gives it kind of a shark's fin look.-Materials:Everything is synthetic, but it all feels solid. The material on the side panels/quarter is thick enough to feel sturdy and durable, like they won't rip on you. The faux suede on the vamp/tongue feels supple/soft to the touch. There's really not much else going on material-wise, but not in a bad way. Pretty straightforward and seems to do the job. No complaints here.-My takeaway:My favorite part is the cushioning. I don't really think I'd change anything on these, except maybe I think the laces could be a few inches longer for those of us who prefer to double-knot. If I were to nitpick, I don't really understand this boat-tail thing that Nike has been doing on some of their midsoles in the past few years or so. It doesn't seem to be a functional thing in these specific shoes. It's not bothersome, it just seems unnecessary and doesn't make it more aesthetically pleasing to me.Overall, I really like the G.T. Cut 3. I think these will be the main shoe in my rotation for a long time.

I have no previous GT Cuts to compare the GT3s to but first time just trying them on was definitely already thinking that they are going to be the hoop shoe of the year. It has a great foot/heel lockdown since it almost has an inner booty system or more so a well padded heel system. For me I had no issues of fitting my feet in going true to size, but others could probably say that they need to go half a size up. The comfort of these shoes are crazy good, just fitting in them and walking in the house to playing on hardwood to playing on concrete was absolutely amazing. My feet were not destroyed like in other hoop shoe models of the brand. I feel like there was not even any break in period the shoes and I were ready to go for hours and hours of play! My feet were not destroyed like in other hoop shoe models of the brand. I feel like there was not even any break in period the shoes and I were ready to go for hours and hours of play! The ZOOM X technology really works well in this basketball shoe, it’s super responsive, definitely has the cushion, and great support. With such a thick cushion, I thought support was not gonna be there with the amount of thickness but I was really glad that it did give me the support (comparing it to the zoom x of the invincible 3, I know 2 different models/purposes). Overall look of the shoe is better in person than it is just looking at it from pictures, I love the colorway of it too giving it almost an undefeated collab colorway effect. I love the different materials of the shoe as well mixing almost like soft suede nubuck (like a thinner version it feels like) mixed with some supportive mesh, not like your mesh you’re used to. For lockdown, there’s like these fly wire cables at the top of the mid foot close to forefoot acting as lockdown, but I’m sure it just there for looks as I didn’t really feel it help with lockdown. then theres a very solid TPU at the heels to compliment that inner booty/ padded inside support. The outsole comes in this translucent orange which just adds a pop of color to the shoe to which it comes up to the sides of the shoe just a bit to help with grip from making cutting moves or crossovers that causes you to be at the most side of your foot when shifting from side to side. The grip of the outsole does vary from clean hardwood to a dirty hardwood to pavement. On clean hardwood it really grips to the floor, on dirty hardwood it tends to slip quite often since dirt really sticks and gets trapped in between the spaces of the outsole. On pavement, it will wear out pretty fast. After about an hour on the pavement, the rubber already was wearing out and starting to somewhat break off. So don’t use it on pavement, unless you have an XDR version or if they even will make an XDR version. Overall the GT CUT 3 Cobra is definitely THE BEST HOOP SHOE I have put on in my entire life and yes I believe it is better than the shoes that people say is the GOAT of hoop shoes or at least people have high praises of. No complaints about the shoe other than the traction not being consistent on all courts, hardwood specifically. I’m going to say it again I’m 100% that these are HOOP SHOE OF THE YEAR and I don’t think these will be topped for a while.

These new GT Cuts are awesome on and off the court. The uppers are comfortable and contour to one’s foot. With the GT Cut, you’re able to quickly loosen up the uppers to get your foot out as opposed to other models where, at times, it can be extremely challenging to get your foot in and out.The ZoomX midsole cushioning is evident and gives great feedback. And the outsole’s zig zag pattern grabs the floor flawlessly.I also appreciate how the tongue is design to fit my foot better. Traditional tongues always fall to the side for me, however, these fit to lock down.Overall, these are great basketball shoes that also do well as daily’s running errands. I highly recommend.
The Nike GT Cut Pro 3 is an amazing on court shoe from my experience. The front part of the toe has the bottom sole extend to the side so you can make quick jukes easily. The pods on the bottom are placed at stress points to provide the best grip possible while making precision cuts. The laces are actually great quality on this pair, they honestly feel as sturdy but a little less cushiony than sb dunk laces if that makes sense. The Zoom X cushioning system included in the midsole feels great and makes a noticeable difference in performance for me at least. The tongue's construction is very unique but In a good way, the tongue is risen with a split to allow for ease of wear and comes with a nice GT CUT 3 label on the tongue strap. One of my favorite parts of this shoe is actually the cool visible threading on the front sides of the toe-box, it has a great texture and brings the shoe together nicely. The back label of the shoe has a vintage looking design with some suede material accentuates that "vintage" feel.Overall great pair of shoes, off and on court.
Wow! The GT Cut 3 is a true game changer for me. This is by far one of the best performance basketball sneakers I have ever put on my feet. They hit on all aspects that I look for in a sneaker. From the comfort and fit to the style and materials they are perfect. My favorite thing about the GT Cut 3 is that I finally feel confident and comfortable to wear a low cut basketball sneaker. They give me the support and fit I need to be able to wear a low profile basketball sneaker. They look great on feet and the padding around the ankle is the best I have experienced. The tongue has a suede/nubuck feeling to it with super soft padding. There is a ton of texture design around the sneaker. So far to date I actually don’t have anything I would change. Normally I feel like shoes are a little narrow for me, but I feel that these were snug in the way they should be without being TOO tight on the sides. I am a very big fan of the amount of cushion these offer in the heels for running and jumping and feel like they also offer a good amount of grip. I think the design of these is slick and the colors go really well together. Additionally, I think the bright orange allows the shoe to catch the eye without being over the top about it. Other details that I thought were pretty cool are the dotted swoosh with the outline and the green thread around the first 2 eyelets. I liked that the fabric was lightweight and breathable while still feeling durable while I was running/jumping around in them. So I was really excited to get these in. I've heard great things about Nike's ZoomX foam in their running line so I was interested in trying it out in a basketball shoe. I will say that they not only look great, but they feel great too. The fabric on the side panels of the upper is a ripstop material. The fabric over the toes is a soft feeling faux-nubuck. The fabric over the toebox has been reinforced with stitching and the material from the sole wraps over on top. Your heel is kept in place by a hard plastic counter that is semi-visible behind some mesh. The materials feel pretty great for performance basketball. You can tell that they've gone all out for the latest in their G.T. Cut line. My one complaint would be that I wish they would've attempted to use some sort of recycled or more eco-friendly material to make them. These shoes feel great underfoot. I will say that with my wide feet I was nervous at first. I measure as a men's U.S. 8.5 on a Brannock Device. As a cautionary measure I went up a half size. Even then they hurt a little bit after the first wear. I'm happy that I stuck with them though. I'd say that after the third wear that they really broke in and became a snug 1 to 1 fit. So I'd definitely recommend trying these on in store if you have the chance, but I'd say true to size if you have normal to slim feet or up a half size if you have wide feet like me. But I feel like that's the case with most modern Nike basketball shoes. By the way, the lock in is great. Like I said earlier, the material from the sole wraps up top and locks you in. Whether you're making quick step moves or running around, you won't feel your feet slide at all (of course if you get sized properly). The ZoomX foam is great at impact absorption but isn't too bouncy. It seems like they've made a more dense version to what they have in their running line. You'll notice underneath that there's what I assume is torsional support (it could also be meant as a spring plate?). You really can't twist these puppies. Speaking of underneath, the traction is a modified herringbone that really grips the floor and allows for grip forwards, but also sideways.Overall, I feel like these are fairly nice performance basketball shoes. The materials are nice, but there are some things I would've liked to have seen from a sustainability standpoint.
I recently started shooting some hoops at the gym and needed a pair of basketball shoes. I haven't really played since high school 20 years ago! Shoes are wayyy more comfortable these days. I decided on the GT Cut 3 due to their sleek design and comfortable feel. I wear a men's 9, women's 10.5 and these are true to size and fit perfectly! These shoes allow me to run and pivot with ease but unfortunately they won't help me dunk, if only I was a little taller and had better hops. They are also comfortable enough for me to wear working out in the gym or my home gym without needing to change my shoes. They are very versatile!!They are little stiff out of the box and took a little longer than I expected to break them in. If I could change color I would definitely want them in my old school sonics colors. I hope we get our team back soon!!The laces are easy to tie and stay tied all day. Nothing is worse than having them come untied when you are on a breakaway for an easy basket.Overall, for not playing basketball in a long time and picking it back up these are awesome shoes for someone 38 like me or a young hooper too! Definitely recommend!
Fit: True to size but on the narrower side.Feel: Quick and snappy. These feature ZOOMX, which is arguably the best cushioning material currently on the market, especially in the sport of running. As an owner and runner of several ZOOMX running shoes, I can attest to the rave reviews in Nike’s running shoes. However, do NOT expect that similar feel for its application into a basketball shoe like these. It is still responsive and light, but definitely do not expect that ultra plushness as that of the VaporFly/Invincible running lines.I found the grip/traction to be decent for outdoor use. It looks like a Nike Kobe model fused with a Nike Pegasus running model. The Flywire and textured Swoosh are excellent features to provide that modern look. Well done, Nike!Materials: The upper is constructed of nubuck at the toe with synthetics making up the majority of the upper.Colorway: Black / Green / Light Orange looks very sleek. Colorblocking and application were well executed. I’d wear this colorway casually too!Improvements: Adding more responsiveness at the forefoot with a Zoom Air pod or two would make these next level.Overall, the GT Cut 3 does not disappoint. Its performance is decent at best, but it’s the GT Cut 3’s aesthetic that really wins me over. Most importantly, DO NOT expect the same ZOOMX experience from Nike’s VaporFly/Invincible running lines in these. However, the GT Cut 3 STILL feels quick and responsive in its own right. If Nike wants to match the GT Cut 3’s aesthetic, they need to implement Zoom Air into the forefoot for more explosiveness. Otherwise, Nike did a SOLID job with these.
