I've intermittently used the Pegasus for about a decade. My last experience with this shoe was the #35. Having had a generally unfavorable year long experience with that shoe (~30 miles/week but too cheap to get rid of it), I was hesitant to re-engage with this model. Finally, they were overall more comfortable...at least at this point.The "not so good" point: the tongue of the 37 has evidently been ported over from the earlier version of the Vomero. Effectively, that eliminates the possibility of a "lock lacing" scheme, because the lace will cross the foot extensor tendons above the reach of the tongue. On the other hand, while I usually use a "lock" lace method, I didn't notice any slippage without it. Second tongue issue is that it creases horizontally around the level of the 3rd lace hole. I'm not sure this confers any future disadvantage. but it might be worth noting. Finally, the tongue is much more "minimalist" compared to the 35 and that discourages tight lacing schemes again due to lace on tendon pressure.Another potential problem with this shoe is grip on wet asphalt. Both with this shoe and the 35, I noticed forefoot slippage on wet pavement. Fortunately, the heel impact was unchanged. When it's really wet around here and there's also moss growing on the streets, I switch to a trail running shoe (different manufacturer) which has grippy and deep cleats on the sole.In summary, this seems like a significant improvement in the venerable Pegasus lineup, at least compared to the 35. Assuming it continues to perform as per this point, I'll keep it.

I am a runner with fifty years of experience training in every brand of shoe imaginable. I even got married in silver Nike Pegasus. But never have I had a shoe this durable and long-wearing. I've had them a year now, and am still running 10-milers in them. They are indeed weatherproof as can be. Not completely waterproof, but admirably so. The soles feature the best traction I've ever seen in a running shoe of any kind. The full air sole is cushiony, if a bit thick-feeling at times. But my feet stayed warm all last winter and even during the summer months, I wore these on wet grass and trails. This model is great, but I imagine the new one is just as good. Worth the money...more than any other shoe I've ever purchased. And that's a lot.

I have about 80 miles in the Pegasus 37 and I have to say, I'm extremely impressed. First, the fit is perfect, as I've come to expect from Nike. I'm true to size (9.5), the upper is comfortable and locks down my foot with no hot spots or pressure points, and the forefoot has plenty of room for my toes to splay, without feeling sloppy. The React midsole and updated Air pod in the forefoot are the real highlight, though. It's an incredibly versatile midsole combination that lets me use this shoe from easy-paced, recovery runs to tempos and even some marathon-pace long runs. Thank you, Nike, for listening to runners' feedback and continuing to develop shoes that make running accessible and fun. I will definitely be putting some serious mileage in the Peg 37s this year. Workhorse with wings indeed! Now, if I could just convince you guys to put some React foam and an Air pod in the next version of the Streak....

They are very comfortable and offer more heel support than the 36 which leave you begging for some central foot support in longer and harder surfaces. They are a bit tight on the front so shoot for a size bigger than with the 36 and tighten them shoe laces properly. No do not wear double ankle socks, just ensure you have some non sweat dry Nike socks to go with them. Furthermore, there were no noticeable heat seeping from the bottom of the sole like with the 36 (at least in Houston in the middle of the summer). In fact I use the 36 best in cushioned trails like crushed gravel (Memorial Park, Houston, 3 mile lap) and the 37 in concrete and asphalt trails (Buffalo Bayou trail, 4.2 mile lap, bike and kinder trail). They are impossible to find now and I have searched EXTENSIVELY. The material is all Ultra bright white which is cool bc they practically glow in the dark (that is how white they are) but one has to be careful not to get them dirty; so if u r into showing them off, then any 37 in white will be noticeable. I bought 6 pairs at the beginning of the year and already went through 3 of them bc the sole although very comfortable does wear out fast (that is fine with me as I value comfort over longevity). The remaining 2 of them were “borrowed” by siblings and 1 which was to end up being displayed as a collection item was intercepted by my maligator and confused as a chewing toy. They are very, very comfortable and since I couldn’t find the 37 in all white and black logo (sadly), I ended up purchasing this color style instead.

Some softer mid soles bottom out overtime especially the forefoot so the you don’t get the bounce back like you are supposed to. But these shoes deliver in that end and also are pretty stable as well. The fit is awesome as well. It feels like the shoes grabs you everywhere the forefoot, mid foot and the ankle without feeling like it is squeezing you. This astounds me. Obviously I could replace the laces myself, every time I buy a pair, but you'd think that with Nikes years of research into running technology that they'd have worked out that it's better for laces to stay tied and just use a slightly rougher material with higher surface friction. It's not that complicated Nike...*Run & Become have done a brilliant job in trying to find an alternative shoe any time I've been into the shop for new trainers, but unfortunately nothing else feels as comfortable.
Pegasus has been my favorite running shoe for 4 decades. I am an older runner (66). This shoe is not a stability shoe but is nice and light with average cushion. I really like it for running on my cushioned treadmill and for short indoor runs at the YMCA on the indoor track in the winter. I have another shoe that has more cushion and stability for outdoor runs. It has average to below average wear, which means this is not a high mileage shoe. It would also make a good interval shoe. I recommend it if you run a few miles a day, neutral runner, and don't need lots of stability.

The shoe is very comfortable. It feels like walking on a cloud. However, the sneaker is too tight on the top part of my foot. Normally, loosening the laces will fix this problem. But the laces on these sneakers look like they're there for visual reasons. The sneaker is built in a way where the tongue starts higher on your foot, so loosening the laces will only give more space to top part of your feet and not the middle. I am going to wear the sneakers for a few more weeks hoping after I break them in the sneaker won't feel tight. Otherwise, I will be returning them and swapping then for a half size up.
Been running in the U.S. northeast in Pegs for years. Always liked them but feet got cold in the winter even with wool socks. Figured I'd give the Shields a try and I was not disappointed. Even on very cold and windy days my feet feel toasty... in fact I have to be careful to wear them when it gets too hot out.Like my other non-Shield Peg 37s, the heel was a little loose, but I swapped out the laces for longer ones and used heel lock lacing, which solved that problem perfectly. And like my other 37s they fit a bit tight, but I sorta like that and just wear thin socks (Darn Tough ultralight merino). Plus, after 10-20 miles they break in and loosen up some.Overall, very happy with them.
