The men's Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 38 is a light and nimble workhorse for your training. Nike built the Pegasus 38 around a bouncy React foam midsole. The material is popular in Nike running shoes because it provides premium cushioning while maintaining a springy ride. Designers added an extra pop to the ride with a Zoom Air unit in the forefoot. The pocket of air provides extra cushioning without extra weight, and it rebounds quickly for a snappy response when you take off. An engineered mesh upper is light and breathable, and midfoot webbing helps create a finely tuned fit. Nike shaped the toe box for a slightly wider fit this year, which makes the Peg more comfortable when the miles start adding up. With a durable rubber outsole that improves your grip on pavement and smooths out the ride, the men's Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 38 delivers high performance under an iconic nameplate.

The Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 38 are amazing. Upon first opening the box, you’ll notice the shoes are very sleek looking. Putting the shoe on, it’s very comfortable, has the right amount of width through the arch and toes. The foam sole is very supportive, it is responsive and lightweight. The mesh upper is soft, flexible and breathable, it conforms to your foot but holds it in place. The hole for the runners knot is much appreciated and helps to hold your ankle in place on a run. The only downside, and I struggle to find one, is the length of the shoe lace. I double knot my laces and it was difficult to get the second knot in. For reference, I run half marathons and just completed the Virtual NY Half and my legs/knees/hips felt amazing on a recovery run in these shoes. ... MoreThe Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 38 are amazing. Overall, these are a welcome addition to my running wardrobe. They’re very fashionable for a running shoe; something that can be worn for a long run and then transitioned directly into running errands. Bonus, my daughter said “mom, those are cool shoes!” so that’s a win.

After using these shoes for a year, I can officially say that these shoes are great all-in-one running shoes. They work for cross country, marathons, practically anything that you can think of. After using them for a year, they only look like dirt has taken them over. The foam has not worn off, and they still look, and feel great after 300 miles. I’ll definitely be using them for another year, as they are extremely reliable. However, there are some pros and cons. PROS: Very light for their size, fits almost any foot type, and comfortable for longer and shorter runs. Foam will hold for a long time, shows no sign of shrinking or tears.CONS: White soles will get dirty easily, and the normal version of the shoe has a very wide front-end, making it quite spacious in the ... MoreAfter using these shoes for a year, I can officially say that these shoes are great all-in-one running shoes. (Some may find it uncomfortable)CONCLUSION: great running shoe for any event, tackles marathons and 5-10k’s easily. For narrow to medium feet. If you like this, you should try the vaporflys, as they feel quite similar, as they are just a beefed up version of these shoes.

These shoes are everything I expect from Nike. Top notch design that breaks boundaries. Comfy as all get out....trust me you’ll wanna wear these inside your house all day (I’m only 30). However much like all other Nike shoes fit they run a bit snug. I should of known better and purchased a size up as I always have to with Nike, but that’s my fault (which is why I’m still giving 5 stars). The colors on these are some of my favorite. Purple, teal, sliver, black and white. I like me some purple and they are hard to find on some genders shoes. The feel is great and balanced. I don’t feel any spots where my feet are not supported which is great for a shoe that I’m going to use with working out.As soon as I got my pair I tested the shoes on my elliptical and I’ve got ... MoreThese shoes are everything I expect from Nike. I was needing a new pair of workout shoes and these came to the rescue. They are new shoes but after trying them for an hour my feet don’t hurt, no blisters, and I could keep going if I wanted but I don’t.Overall I’d buy 10 more pairs of these if my partner would allow me.My favorite thing about them is the color scheme. Gets me all excited every time I get to put them on. I’m like a kid in the candy shop.If I would change anything it would be the snug fit. I’m gonna try some thinner socks but I’ve always had this issue with nikes on my feet. But once again ordering a 9.5 was my fault when I should of grabbed a 10.Can’t wait to wear these out and get the compliment I know are coming my way.Several family members have already commented on how they are jealous and want a pair.Just do it.

When I’m browsing for a new pair of running shoes there are 4 main categories that I think about: look, comfort/fit, performance and durability.Look: From the moment I popped open the lid of the Nike box, I was impressed. The difficulty that I have in choosing running shoes is that I look for bright colors or crazy designs, and those don’t usually exist in men’s running shoes. I get jealous when I go to local running shops with my wife. She has all these awesome color to pick from, and then, I have white, white, gray gray, blue, black, black/gray…oh and the one solid lighter blue. However, the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 38 has a unique design with accent details of purple and pink in the lace eyelets, blue stitching and an awesome teal bottom which pops against the ... MoreWhen I’m browsing for a new pair of running shoes there are 4 main categories that I think about: look, comfort/fit, performance and durability.Look: From the moment I popped open the lid of the Nike box, I was impressed. I get jealous when I go to local running shops with my wife. She has all these awesome color to pick from, and then, I have white, white, gray gray, blue, black, black/gray…oh and the one solid lighter blue. However, the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 38 has a unique design with accent details of purple and pink in the lace eyelets, blue stitching and an awesome teal bottom which pops against the black and white backdrop of the remainder of the shoe. Needless to say, they look awesome, and my wife was jealous of me for once. My only wish was that the laces themselves would’ve been teal to match the sole of the shoe. It would’ve been a clutch detail.Comfort/Fit: To my surprise, the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 38 fit true to size and almost like a glove (I run a men’s size 11). I have difficulty when purchasing running shoes because I have a narrow heel and midfoot but a wide forefoot. Usually, I try to look for shoes that have a wider toe box to accommodate my flipper feet, and although I wouldn’t consider the Pegasus 38 a wide toe box, it does have room at the end. I can still feel a slight cramping against the outer wall in the toe box that forces my pinky toe in, but, compared to other Nike shoes I have run in, this is a dramatic improvement. I will also say that the lacing eyelets allow for a snug fit, and the laces that come with the shoe are long enough to perform a lace lock with the remaining eyelet holes at the top. One downfall that I noticed during my run with the Pegasus 38 was that, although the mesh upper is meant to breath, I could feel my foot heating up rapidly. This may only get worse in the hot North Carolina sun. A little more breathability would be nice while maintaining the strength of the upper.Performance: This was definitely a mid-distance shoe. I have run distances between 1 mile and a marathon in all types of shoes. I took this one out for a 10k run of varying hills, flats and added in some Fartlek bits, and I would say that I would not want to run much further in it. For a 5k-10k course, this shoe will operate nicely. However, I felt as if the shoe was a little heavy, and I could feel the pavement with every step. Feeling the earth is great for speed, temp or threshold workouts, but it’s not my cup of tea for long runs or easy runs. The shoe itself rode like a neutral, and I could definitely feel a snap in my step when I picked up the pace. The Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 38 was responsive and is the perfect shoe for running paved greenways or pea gravel flat trails, but it would not be my go to for hill workouts in my rotation. I felt as if the shoe was forcing me to over pronate will climbing a hill and the rigid feel coming down the other side…well…my thighs will be feeling it tomorrow. All in all, a great shoe for mid-distance hard workouts on flats.Durability: This one is hard to say based on my first few runs. So far, the shoe has held up well, and I am trying to keep the pristine white heel clean. Usually, I like to give my shoes a good 50 miles to break in, and then make a judgement call. But, the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 38 appears to be quality made, stitched well and my hope is that they will break in and glide like butter on my future runs and not break down. Time will tell.
Amazing! Ok now that I have that out the way let me tell you why. The Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 38's feel like your walking on clouds or jumping bear foot on your comfy mattress. The fit was just right. Getting your exact size should be no problem and will be a good fit. The flexible material provides a comfortable feeling and the ability to possibly still fit great a half size smaller or bigger. The design is a looker, what seems to look like a typical running shoe of sorts finishes off with a unique design at the tail end to let people know, Yep! these are my comfortable Pegasus 38s. Ideal for a run or a walk these shoes are even comfortable enough for all day use which can also be just sitting around the couch, as long as your mother allows shoes in the house. Overall this is a great shoe to provide you with a comfortable feel and great flexibility for whatever your day brings.
I took these shoes for a couple of runs already and I really felt the difference from the other shoes I've worn before. The response when you run is noticeable, I'm really happy with these. First thing I noticed is the weight-very lightweight which I feared should mean no support or cushion, but I was wrong. I like everything about the shoe. One negative thing I felt was the toe box seemed somewhat tight but still the front of the shoe was nonetheless very supportive. The sole provided good grip on the uneven (and varying surface) sidewalks in my neighborhood as well as asphalt. In addition, they performed just as well the time I used them on a treadmill. There is quite a lot of cushion in the heel which made for a very comfortable run (about 3-4 miles, usually). ... MoreI took these shoes for a couple of runs already and I really felt the difference from the other shoes I've worn before. Aesthetically, I like the color scheme a lot, but I’m afraid after a few outdoor runs the large amount of white space in the heel/back of the show will dirty up quickly. Overall, a good lightweight running shoe with plenty of support and loads of cushioning. The shoe is so comfortable and you can walk or run with them for a long period comfortably.
