This Nike sneaker runs a little on the big size; I have other Nike shoes and this one leaves about a 1/2 inch room in the toe, while the others are a more snug fit. I could still comfortably wear them, but after a couple hours the side heal started to press into my ankle bone, which was not comfortable. Though the shoe has decent tracking for pavement, it does not have good agility on grass/trail/off road courses. My ankles and foot wobbled while chasing my kids across the field in these; I don’t recommend for that type of activity. It supported my heels very well and the extended part never felt weird, unlike Mercurial.Lastly, the eyelets... These eyelets feel like a must with these type of flat laces. Simply, they do not tangle no matter how strong you treat your laces while tying them.3. Comfort level for wearing all-dayYes, yes, and yes. As I've mentioned previously, the product design seems impeccable and all-day wearing is definitely comfortable. I once returned home from wearing the Pegasus 39s all-day and I could have definitely felt the difference in the conditions of my feet where they felt way less tired.4. My favorite feature & change recommendationMy favorite feature of the shoe is definitely product design. If I had to change anything, maybe the length of the shoe laces? I used all of the eyelets to lace my shoes, even though I kind of wanted to leave the top eyelet empty. I tried doing it, but the bowtie I made afterwards seemed way too big (which means laces are too long) so I decided to use the top eyelet. Even after using the top eyelet, the laces seemed more than long enough for me to make a good bowtie, so maybe shorter laces would give more choices for people to lace their Pegasus 39s.PS. It fits snug, but right on for a typical Nike fit. I have wide feet but a half-size up and I’m loving these shoes.The design is great. There are reflective aspects to the shoe for night/morning runs, and the shoe looks better than other versions. Specifically, some newer versions poked out in the back a bit and this heel is tapered more than others (a huge plus for me). Also, the sole connection with the shoe feels more solid and the styling is great. The silhouette is quite typical for a running shoe, but the mesh upper boasts pleasing line and grid patterns, which combine well with the label fonts and protruding Nike Swooshes on either side of the shoe to create a “high tech” look that lends itself well to many color combinations. This specific colorway, being white and gray, actually hides a lot of the intricacies and details present in the shoes, providing a much simpler appearance than other available options for the Pegasus 39. Though it looks good enough when new, white mesh gets dirty very easily and is nearly impossible to completely clean, so I would steer clear of this or any other predominantly white colorway if long term looks are a major concern.Overall, the Air Zoom Pegasus 39 is a shoe that can best be described as safe. There is nothing about it that will blow you away, but it is highly unlikely to let you down. If you want something that is easy to style for casual wear or a shoe that requires little to no break in for more rigorous uses, then this is a shoe that I can undoubtedly recommend.

That model was so durable I didn’t need to buy running shoes until now, and was extremely excited to see how the technology has advanced since. The Air Zoom Pegasus 39 features two of Nike’s Air Zoom units in the heel and forefoot, and after wearing them myself I was surprised it wasn’t a full cohesive unit based off of how supportive it feels with each part of your step! I have a couple different Nike Basketball models with full length strips of Zoom and the Pegasus 39s easily feel the most responsive in terms of controlled shock absorption and energy return in your stride. The best part were the days I had to drag myself to my treadmill, I’d be in an awful mood not wanting to start my run, take my first steps with my Pegasuses and immediately remember how light and bouncy the shoes are, making my run a joy instead of a chore! I even found myself extending my times, wanting to keep going when I’d normally call it a day. The one drawback I could find was the back collar, as padded and soft as they feel, seem to be lower than I’d like on my ankle. This is a personal preference of liking a shoe that rides up slightly higher so my foot feels a bit more confined and less like the shoe is at risk of sliding off, but I still have to stress it’s barely a problem. To top off the wonderful running sneaker, you have the comfortable Flywire material that feels supportive yet sock-like, conforming nicely to any foot. Which brings me to the best added bonus! These shoes being offered in 4E for wider feet like myself. I often end up having to size up and then dealing with shoes too long, but this time Nike hit the spot! I can fit in my desired size without feeling squeezed in and rubbing up against the sides of the material! Overall amazing shoe that brings back my passion for running and staying on my feet!
