I like the idea of these shoes and they have potential. The extra fore foot cushioning is very helpful for a guy doing HIIT training at 6'7"/250 lbs.3 stars is because after 1 workout use the air sole on the right shoe is already creaking and squeaking like it is already over streesed and about to give out. Maybe this pair was from a bad batch. I wear size 15 so I had to order direct and did not get to try on a pair 1st.

The Nike Air Zoom Superrep 2 is a very unique shoe, unlike most sneakers I've worn. Right out of the box, you can tell the soles are very wide and elevated. They looked like they would feel elevated when putting them on and that proved to be true. The elevated cushioning and soles feel like an additional attachment to the shoe rather than just the sole; it felt like walking on stilts. The sneakers are designed for HIIT workouts. They perform really well for this purpose. When doing burpees, the elevation at the front of the shoe also seems to give an extra spring when jumping forward. Landing on these shoes after jumps felt VERY cushioned. The wide platform provided a feeling of extra balance on lateral shuffles. With that said, I think these shoes are very ... MoreThe Nike Air Zoom Superrep 2 is a very unique shoe, unlike most sneakers I've worn. It felt too elevated for general day-to-day walking and I did not try any running, since it felt the balance would be a bit off. These shoes are probably best for the person who has frequent home and/or HIIT workouts.

As good as advertised.

Shoe looks good. I’ve only had them for a week and still breaking them in. Initially, they feel very snug. Maybe they run a little small. On the floor, they feel grippy and stiff, but lateral movement is really stable and forward bursts feel quick. Shock absorption on plyos is very good.Short term assessment is that these shoes are as good as advertised. Let’s see how they hold up for the grind of summer training.

Great fitness shoes
3 March 2021

These are excellent shoes. I ordered them for my husband and he loves them for riding his indoor bike and his workouts. There is a plastic grip on on the bottom that helps with traction on the pedals. He says they fit snugly on the sides but leave plenty of width/space for his toes. Overall, these are an excellent fitness shoe. My only complaint is that they squeak when he walks. This is not be an issue for workouts and the plastic grip on the bottom, while causing a squeak with walking, is a must for the workout.

HIIT and deadlifts..? YES.
22 August 2021

this version is way better than the first although i wish the would have kept the army green color. in any case, they are quite bulky and albeit a bit heavy, but they look cool and the split the fore foot air does actually assist quite well with jumps, box jumps etc and even jumping rope. surprisingly, i experimented with these deadlifting and they are outstanding with reponse. i usually deadlift in metacons, or my other specific flat surface shoes. im glad i did experiment with them. they will be my go to deadlift shoes from here on out. only negative (if you want to call it that) they are a bit snug, but they need to be for HIIT. also they are a bit hot, nike should make the third generation a bit more breathable material or porus

Love this shoe!
15 March 2021

I'm a size 8.5 womens/10 mens and these Nike Air Zoom Superrep 2 fit me perfectly. Not only are they the most comfortable sneakers I've ever owned they are also super attractive. I love the color and design. I've been wearing them for 10days now and get compliments daily. I happily wear them while running errands all day and really enjoy working out with them too. Highly recommend them and planning on getting another pair in a different color soon.

My favorite shoe
5 March 2021

I do HIIT training and really enjoyed these shoes. The fit was just right with my other Nike shoes. The design is very functional and innovative. I was first questioning the functionality and sizing with its design but after using them in the gym, I am a huge fan. I have previously twisted my ankle, so I always have to be mindful of how I land on my feet or change directions while working out. This shoe has given me a lot of support for my bad ankle and I haven't had any issues as I did with using my other shoes for high-impact sports. I also enjoyed playing basketball and tennis with these shoes as they allow for sudden stops without skidding and offer great cushioning for jumping. They are honestly great shoes all around and are cost-efficient as they can be used ... MoreI do HIIT training and really enjoyed these shoes. The fit was just right with my other Nike shoes. Another huge perk is the thicker soles that I am sure will not wear down especially with all the skidding that happens in tennis. Because of these reasons, I believe these shoes to be of really good quality and durable.

Performance
2 March 2021

Great for workouts! Run true to size, comfortable and very breathable. Out of the box, they were a little stiff and squeaked a bit but after a few workouts they broke in. The mesh upper gives them a sleek look while letting out workout heat without compromising support. The shape of the sole takes a little getting used to but has provided less impact on my knees and shins allowing for extended workouts. Overall a very solid shoe.

Ran way too small
2 March 2021

Unfortunately, these shoes ran so small I could barely get my foot inside them. I consistently wear a size 10-10.5, in a variety of shoe brands, but despite these being labeled as a 10.5 they would have to be considered closer to a size 8 or 9. It may have been a defect in this particular pair, but either way I could not even get them on my feet. To be honest I wasn't a huge fan of their appearance in person either- the sole was too over-the-top and bulky, especially the round bubble-like bit under the ball of your foot. The weird bulkiness doesn't come through in photos of the product, it's more pronounced in person- which I suppose could be considered a plus depending on how you look at it. One thing I did like was the cross-weave of the shoe's upper, it's a clever design and had the shoe been the right size I think that it would have hugged my foot nicely and provided comfortable support.Overall I have to say one star- I'm disappointed that the fit was so poor, and the design of the sole was too much for my tastes.
