I felt comfortable wearing these in the gym and on runs but they don’t match any other shoes in my wardrobe. The color scheme is unusual and the design definitely feels like a workout shoe rather than a casual shoe.Overall the SuperRep 3 is a great training shoe. I felt a major difference while barbell squatting and could walk all day with them on. After a few wears they fit like a glove and provided me with plentiful support and cushioning. Where it lacks in style, it makes up for in performance. I highly recommend this shoe to those who are looking for more support during their training sessions.

Such a disappointment I loved the super rep 2 and I thought this would be great. It wasn’t they changed the asymmetrical lace up that locked your foot in place. They also bridged the gap between the front and back which stops your foot from flexing. I really liked the separate front and back sole. I also have a gravel drive way so I’m always picking rockets out of them. The insole feels way different than the rep 2. Bottom line if you liked the rep 2 you probably won’t like the changes Nike made to the new version.

The Nike SuperRep 3 is a great-looking indoor shoe with a serious update over the last two iterations. I had an intense workout with multiple dynamic movements and the SuperRep 3 was able to keep up easily. The most important features that I noticed were lateral containment and stability, especially during burpees and jump boxes. The mesh upper cuts down on the overall weight of the shoe giving it a sleek and streamlined appearance. The textured laces are also a nice touch and were slip-resistant. I would not use SuperRep 3 in any outdoor capacity due to the outsole grip and overall structure of the midsole. Keeping that area clean and free of debris seems like a bothersome task. Incredibly stable, squeaky at first.
3 June 2022

Let me start by saying when I tried these new out of the box I was anxious that I really wouldn’t like them. The first issue was they were tight around my achilles, not something I personally like when doing weighted and dynamic movements; thankfully though it was really only about a day of break in and it felt really good. The shoe is a really good mix of a traditional weight lifting shoe and “trainer” because it’s incredibly stable when doing thinks like squats or the like. I’ve got a history of rolling my ankles and never once did I feel like the shoe would let me start to roll. The general feel is great if you want to wear them all day. I’d avoid walking in mud or dirt though with them because the middle section can hold stuff in there and it’s a little annoying ... MoreLet me start by saying when I tried these new out of the box I was anxious that I really wouldn’t like them. It’s not a quiet one either it is rather loud, thankfully after the shoes broke in it went away. Not nearly as quick as the achilles tightness though. The squeak hung around for about a week and then vanished.Overall though these are a great shoe for workouts and day to day wearing too if you need them to do both. If I could do partial stars they’d be somewhere in the 4.7 range.

Is the Super Rep 3 the shoe you would wear to the gym
4 June 2022

I am an all-around gym enthusiast that enjoys weight training, HIIT and cardio workouts. With almost 20 years of being in an active lifestyle, I have tried numerous shoes that promised to address the needs of an avid gym goer like me.Super Rep 3 boasts improved support and cushioning for HIIT fans, and it did. Looking beyond the plastic-feel build on it, it felt comfortable initially upon putting them on. You will instantly feel the support and the feeling it has of being walled in to the shoe. Walking and running on the treadmill felt awesome for the first 15 minutes, until I started feeling the stiffness of the support on the heels of my feet which made me adjust my stride differently. The support on the balls of my feet were a little too much as well, because jumping around with this shoe tends to have me land a little forward and my toes had to work harder just to adjust my balance upon landing. The grip of the shoes on dry gym surface was great, but be cautious when an area is slightly damp with sweat or water.Breathability on these shoes were awesome, it never felt like my feet were ever warm at all throughout my intense workouts.Overall this is a pretty solid shoe to workout in, but there are still tons of improvement that can be made.

I really like this new training shoe by Nike. However, I would recommend for wide footers to either go TTS or think about going up half a size. What stood out to me most was the super bouncy zoom air in the forefoot of the shoe. At first try on, you could tell how bouncy the forefoot was, especially when you shift your weight to the balls of your foot. Another feature that I liked was the torsional support, specifically how the outsole/mid arch was shaped. You could tell that stability was a key feature when Nike was designing this shoe. Finally, the color options were great. There was an all white, all black version, as well as a volt color and other clean color options. I picked out the grey colorway with the salmon pink outsole. Solid workout shoe for everything from HIIT to Weightlifting to Cardio
6 June 2022

The Nike Air Zoom SuperRep 3 might be my favorite all-around workout shoe I've ever owned. It's incredibly durable and versatile. After using it for several weeks and putting it through all kinds of workouts, the shoe is just as comfortable as it was the first day. In HIIT workouts, it's strong and sturdy yet has the flexibility you'd want when performing quicker moves like burpees, jumping, lunging, etc. When using them for traditional weightlifting, they gave me a solid base without being too bulky or heavy. They also allow your ankles to move freely doing lifts like squats. I also used them for some basic cardio on a treadmill multiple times. My biggest complaint is how high the heel comes up. I prefer wearing no-show socks, but the heel came up so high that it rubbed my heel raw the first time I wore no-show socks. However, after switching to some higher socks, it wasn't a problem any longer. Overall, my favorite aspect of the shoe is how comfortable it is. Whether I wore it for a tough workout or simply wore it around for a few hours, my feet never hurt or got tired. I would love to see some different colorways in the future, but I think I've found my new favorite workout shoe!

Stylish shoes with suboptimal fit

These shoes arrived in the mail and my first thought was that they look super cool. I run between 15-30 miles a week and walk at least 15k steps per day, so even on inactive days I put a lot of miles on shoes.Unfortunately, when I first slipped my feet into these bad boys, it wasn't love at first wear. Lacing up the shoes normally left my feel slipping out of the shoe slightly and the sole had support areas that I was definitely not used to feeling. I am a 10.5 in Nike shoes usually, and I feel like these might be half a size too big. After putting on a thicker sock and lacing the shoes again, I got a much snugger, comfortable fit. The shoes are definitely comfortable enough for an all day shoe, but for me personally they wouldn't be my go to shoe. There is something about the area of the shoe where the air zoom pocket is, that just doesn't sit well with my feet.I really like the laces on these shoes, as not one did they come undone or have to retie but they were super easy to unlace at the end. This is not the case with many of my Nike runners. The one area of the shoe that I really didn't enjoy was around the ankle and heal. There is padding around most of the area but at the top edges where your foot goes it, there is a lot of rigid support and it was rough on my ankles when my legs pivoted and I often felt it dig into the back of my leg. The simple solution was not using ankle socks and switching to quarter or higher but that's less than ideal.Overall, I still liked the shoe a lot and will probably use it as an everyday walking shoe, as well as my shoe for HIIT workouts but it likely wouldn't get another pair. I haven't tested it yet in a strength workout but I imagine it would give good support when planting.

Further, you can use the shoe for various activities (I.e. gym, short runs, walking, and daily errands). A solid option for someone who is looking for a multi purpose shoe.Cons - the materials used on the shoe are sub par. The material seems to be flimsy and can tear over time. These shoes have really grown on me.

I do HIIT classes once or twice per week so I was curious to look into whether manufacturers were making HIIT-specific shoes. The SuperReps seemed to be the only line by any company that was truly designed from the ground up for aerobic HIIT rather than crossfit-style exercising. So about three weeks ago I got a pair of the SuperRep 3s.My initial reactions were (1) the toe box was tighter than I'd expected, and (2) wow were these different! In terms of the fit, I'm typically either an 8 or an 8.5 and wanting a snug fit for HITT I went with 8s, which is what I tend to wear in Nikes. I would say these 8s are more snug than most Nike 8s, especially in the toe box. I would say these 8s are more snug than most Nike 8s, especially in the toe box. I thought about exchanging but since my local store didn't carry half sizes I stuck with the 8s, hoping they might stretch a bit - although these aren't flexible shoes. After about two weeks though I think that just enough stretching did happen that these became comfortable. In terms of these being different than other shoes, yeah, they are! Similar to some of the newer Zoom running shoes, the SuperReps at least feel like the heel is lower than the forefoot, which is a very unusual sensation. And the heel isn't very padded - the cushioning is all under the ball of the foot. Also, the shoes are extremely stiff, there's almost no flex (that's ensured by that odd connector plate running between the front and back portions). This did take a little bit of getting used to, but once I grew accustomed to it, I have to say I really, really like it for the HIIT use case. Because HIIT for me involves a lot of jumping and landing, and I had noticed previously that with shoes primarily cushioned in the heel it felt like I was taking a lot of jarring landing on my forefeet. And that's the exact purpose of the forefoot-focused cushioning in these shoes. It's really great! It's still a bit of a strange sensation, and interestingly it makes balancing on one foot more challenging. But I'm a big fan of this design aspect.I've also grown to like the lack of flex for the HIIT case. I'm not quite sure why I like it, it is different but it seems to force my feet forward on things like mountain climbers. Finally, I think the quality of these shoes is superb. One other reviewer mentioned the thin tongue, which is true, but I don't see any issue with it. And I really, really like the laces on these shoes. I haven't seen ones like them before, they're thin and light, almost flat, and slightly serrated. They tie easily and stay completely locked in. And they're the perfect length. One small point of suggestion to Nike for a future version is that I find it a bit tough to get my heel to stay sufficiently locked in without having to dial up the lacing tightness too high for comfort. That might come down to these shoes being just a touch small for me, I'm not sure, but it does seem a more noticeable issue in these shoes than in other Nikes I have. To me it looks like the top lacing eyelets are maybe a touch too far forward to provide sufficient tightening towards to back of the shoe. But overall I really like these shoes!
