Nike Black Air VaporMax Flyknit 2 Sneakers

The lightest, most flexible version of Max Air to date, the Nike Air VaporMax Flyknit 2 eliminates excess and leaves just want you need — in one revolutionary silhouette. 30 years after Tinker Hatfield designed the first visible Max Air bag, Nike has once again revolutionized their staple cushioning system, shedding weight and maximizing flexibility to create their most comfortable ride and powerful style statement yet. The VaporMax 2 begins with a seamless, one-piece Flyknit upper that fits like a sock, moving with your foot as you run. Flywire cables are woven into the upper, allowing you to adjust your level of support and lockdown through the shoes laces. Almost all layers between the foot and VaporMax Air have been eliminated, drastically cutting down on weight and delivering responsive ground feel. The full-length VaporMax Air midsole is segmented for increased flexibility and full, natural range of motion you have to feel to believe. The full package is a head-turning new addition to Nikes Air Max line and a must-have for serious runners and trendsetters alike. Back for round two, this updated version features a reinforced heel for better durability and improved fit. One-piece Flyknit upper with Flywire cables embedded in the knit for a snug, sock-like fit and adjustable lockdown. No-sew overlays at the toe tip and heel for lightweight structure and durability. VaporMax Air midsole technology provides lightweight cushioning only where you need it and returns energy with every step. Rubber pods in high-wear areas of the outsole for durable traction without added weight slowing you down.

I made a huge mistake not getting these when they came out…actually I’ve done it a few times. & it cost much more to get on Stock X. Me & my wife love Vapormax! She has 21 pairs, I have 12. After 2 years of contemplating…I finally broke down andpurchased these Randoms. They are in perfect condition. 1st pair of $400 kicks so I will wear them randomly…🤣 I know, I know, terrible but I had to do it…

Bad purchase.

Unfortunately this was not a good purchase. One of the shoes had a defective heel pad. Meaning that there was a puncture that allowed all the firmness to not be in place. As you stepped you could feel the difference between the left shoe and the right. Also it seemed like the paper that was placed inside the shoes had been eaten on by rats. And lastly as i washed the shoes rat turds were inside, which was discussing.

Nike Vapormax shoes are probably the best athletic shoes ever created; especially given the flyknit material that is used to make the shoes. These shoes feel as those you're wearing socks, so I only wear them sans socks. The Vapormax air cushion soles offer superb stability and comfort for all day wear. I have been getting nothing but these shoes since their debut in the Series 1 Vapormax Flyknits, and have a whole closet full of these in different colors. Goes great with jeans, sweats and shorts, and can be dressed up or down. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Good look; horrible shoe
7 February 2019

I purchased a pair of these for a 90 mile relay race and regretted every step of the purchase. This is the most uncomfortable running shoe on the market. I usually run in brooks but thought I’d give these a try because they are light and the sole looked extremely shock absorbant. The plastic is hard and you can feel it with every stride your foot takes. Even when broken in it remains so. I have a very narrow foot and I found the foot falling over the sole. It felt like running in a pair of platform shoes (admittedly I’ve never worn them) and as I runner, your foot spilling over the “support” is an unforgivable design flaw. The look is outstanding so I have a nice pair of walking around shoes for post workouts. I would actually purchase another pair to sport with jeans or for after workout purposes but this is a dud for any other purpose, an expensive one at that.

Great Shoe, favourite of my many pairs!

Overall this is an amazing shoe. Very light and comfortable, I've called them Air Max socks which is pretty accurate. Back heel is a bit stiff, makes sense since the rest of the shoe is like a sock. I do not run in these because of the segmented outsole air pods. Great for walking and gym workouts other than legs. Personally would not recommend running in them if you like a uniform feel/stride upon impact with the ground as they could feel like you are running in molded soccer cleats on surfaces other than grass. Very customisable with laces. Would recommend for everyday use, walking and gym workouts.

Huge Disappointment
2 May 2018

I had been wearing the Nike Air shoe since they came out, and I loved the fly knit, especially. Those shoes were so comfortable for daily wear, running, and walking. I often forgot I was wearing shoes. The cushioning was amazing, the width was perfect, and the toe box was roomy. These shoes just wouldn't wear out. So, when the VaporMax shoe came out, I assumed they would have the same, great fit. I was so wrong, and utterly disappointed in every way. I am not able to wear them for any length of time. In fact, I wore them today, and my ankles hurt so badly, I am letting them go. Now to find a shoe I can run and walk in, I am having to check out dealers who have the old Nike Air Max in stock. I sure hope Nike finds a way to bring them back! They were worth their cost, ... MoreI had been wearing the Nike Air shoe since they came out, and I loved the fly knit, especially. I love this shoe

I bought these vapormax after reading the many reviews and watching plenty youtube videos. I have to say I own alot of shoes! I have nmds, stan smiths, element reacts and 270s (the 720s I have ordered are on back order), prestos and many other shoes first and foremost. However, these shoes are one of if not the comfiest pair of shoes that I own! I'm 6'0 , 175 just for clarity but they say the heavier you are the better the shoe feels. I really dont know, I just know these shoes feel great on feet! Goes great with everything, jeans, shorts and everything else! I have to say I was nervous about the airbubble just because I have heard that the bubble has a history of busting but sofar so good! They feel great on feet! Long Term Comfort
19 February 2019

I was first skeptical to purchase shoes that were almost $200, and the "air" part of the shoe was not something I thought I would like. Still, I gave these shoes a try because I am currently a student and needed the most comfortable shoe I could find, and Nordstrom's policy is so amazing I knew I could try them out, risk free.First, I knew that my preference was for the "Flyknit" type of shoe because I had an old pair of Nike's that I kept wearing, even though it was time to throw them out. These shoes are an unexpected surprise and were totally worth the price; also, the color was exactly as pictured. The entire shoe, down to the LACES, is made with real quality and craftsmanship, and I could not be any happier with these shoes!P.S. My family thought they looked weird and didn't really like them, but who cares what other people think? LOL

Practically a sock!!!
13 January 2019

Nike is definitely my favorite brand when it comes to a reliable shoe. I generally buy Air Max for fashion purposes, but I looked into the VaporMax with the hopes of finding something comfortable for work. & I can honestly say that these exceeded my expectations. They are THE MOST comfortable shoe I’ve ever purchased! I have a narrow foot & typically wear a 10, which is the size I decided to go with. I was nervous about the fit because they were a little snug when I first put them on, but throughout the day they seemed to form to the shape of my foot. They’re so lightweight yet supportive at the same time. I couldn’t be happier with the decision I made and they’re worth every penny!

Runs Small
24 November 2018

I took off one star because the sizing was way off for me. I am a size 7 with Nike. I am so glad my Nordies had the sizes to try, otherwise I would have ended up with two exchanges via mail. I ended up with a full size up. An 8 in the smokey/beige color which is really a light pink or old rose color. It was challenging to even put my foot in the 7. The 7.5 was pinching my toes. I ended up with 8, but only with very thin socks. The 8.5 already looked very odd and too long. I have no complaints about blisters. It is comfy. My only advice is you give it a try for the best fit.
