Although toe spring makes them easier to walk in, over time built in toe spring will weaken feet. These shoes have less toe spring than many other athletic-style shoes, but they still have some. Same goes for the toe box on these - wider than most other athletic-style shoes and room for the toes to spread, but ideally it would be a little wider. My kid doesnāt care about either of these things, but guess what kid, mama does.Overall- Iām very happy with these shoes for my kid. Heck, I see that they make the same ones in my size. Iāll be getting some.

There were a little more than a thumbs widths distance in length which is fine since she will have room for growth. Her initial reaction was sheer terror because they were white. She knows that her and white shoes do not mix well, but I reminded her she didnāt have to wear them to go play in. She also state they felt a little heavier at first but they were super comfortable. My daughter really loves her Blaze Mid sneakers! We really enjoy the neutral colors and classic vibe. The size is true to fit. The stretchy laces are convenient for little ones, but I do wish there was a way to adjust them to be a little tighter because my daughter has a very thin foot. I will be adding an insole for some extra cushioning, my daughter says the sole is pretty hard so I think adding some more cushion will allow her to wear these sneakers longer. The padding on the ankle is so nice, i imagine it must feel like your ankles are getting a little hug. The shoes in your hand feel very durable and we love the colors and the design! Itās very classic yet modern, the design is what we liked most.
