I absolutely love this shoe for playing tennis. When I first put the shoe on (I'm a size 6), I was worried that I should have sized up. Once I got to playing tennis in it, however, I determined it actually runs true to size and provided just the right amount of snugness while playing. The sole on this shoe is excellent...it is great for turning, twisting and the quick start/stops of playing tennis. After playing many hours in these shoes, the sole looks essentially unscathed and it is great condition. It is a very durable sole.I also really like the design of this shoe...I got the white with purple and I like how the purple is subtle and the white is not pure white (i.e. slightly off white) on the mesh upper. While this shoe is obviously designed (and optimal) ... MoreI absolutely love this shoe for playing tennis. Overall this is a pretty decent shoe and the size is a true fit. The form is sturdy and stiff, although the design of the shoe is asymmetrical, causing a asymmetrical or uneven support on the top of the foot. I’m 33 and I guess to the age where I need support in my shoes to brace my aging knees and ankles. The off-center design gives a nice look from the top of the shoe, but it provides support on the outer side of the top of the foot, near the smaller toes. I didn’t realize how important having support above the ball of my foot (near my big toe) is to my ultimate stability in an athletic shoe, and this shoe is lacking there. This shoe is definitely one you could wear all day if you’re out running errands or doing some mild activity, but it doesn’t provide me with ... MoreOverall this is a pretty decent shoe and the size is a true fit. As it’s on, it just simply feels off center and maybe I would get used to it after weeks of wear. However, I’ve worn it for 3 days straight and still can tell it feels off.If I could simply straighten out the area where the laces are to be like that of a traditional shoe, I would be singing this shoe’s praises because I really like the firm material it’s made of. The heel and sides of the shoe are comfortable, sturdy, supportive and very cute.

I loved the design of these! They are not chunky and I really liked the unique design of the shoe. They are also really easy to clean, especially for a white athletic shoe. I thought they fit true to size. They were not snug or run narrow for me. I am typically a size 7 and an average width, I thought the size 7 in these fit well. I wish that they had a bit more arch support. They don't hug the arch of your foot like a running shoe typically does. The arch support is the only thing that I would change about these shoes. These are a great everyday shoe. I prefer to where these when I am out running errands all day. The lavender is such a pretty colorway and the perfect stylish court and off court shoe. It’s nice and supportive, and super traction, for the side to side and sudden stops I need to make for tennis. The sizing is just so slightly smaller than TTS fit. I feel like the level of rigidity of the shoe may be a little much in the beginning, but hopefully it gets better once broken in. These would also be perfect for training shoes at the gym or when I am using my erg.I don’t think I would use these shoes for distance running, however; there’s a lot of support in the ball of the foot but not a whole lot of cushioning in the heel. The arch support is slightly lacking as well so these are probably not the ideal shoe for overpronaters.
Finding a good pair of shoes that support my feet hasn't been easy. Usually Nike shoes are much too narrow for my feet and pinch at the toe box, but the Air Zoom Pros are absolutely perfect! Lately, I have been playing every day (or close to it) for several hours a day. I know when I put these shoes on that I will be able to play without pain. I don't need the arch sleeves that I bought for previous shoes, either. I took these shoes with me when my team went to state championships where I played 3-4 hours for two days straight. My feet felt great, and I don't remember my feet feeling hot on the hard courts (I usually play on clay) in the middle of July. I'll be ordering a second pair soon!!
I love the color and design of these Nike Court Air Zoom Vapor Pros. They are very comfortable and have a secure fit. Shoes run true to size for tennis shoes. The angled lace up kind of threw me off. I, myself, go for more symmetrical looking things. I have prominent tarsal bones on the top of my feet and the tapered lace ups actually relieve all pressure and discomfort in the area that most other shoe designs give me. If you are the best at turning your ankles these are certainly for you. My favorite design in these is the slightly extended sole that offers incredible lateral support on and off court! They are easy on and off but still fit very secure. I have skinny heels and they do not slip what so ever. I was concerned when I first put them on because I could feel them rubbing on the outside of my ankles. After wearing them I no longer notice it and have not had any blisters, etc. I’ve worn these to 12-hour work days and work outs without issues, yet. If you usually need larger toe boxes you should be safe with these. I typically need taller toe boxes or have to buy bigger but I have not noticed these to hinder my toes at all. Now for cons! I don’t love the design of the tongue, it’s long and I’m not sure if it’s suppose to have an angle to it or what. They are not the coolest shoes I have worn (as in temperature) but not the hottest either. The waffle-like material on the toe and sides look like it could be hectic to clean but can’t be sure as I haven’t had to clean them yet. I’ve not had them for long so I can not comment on their durability but, so far, so good.
I first picked up a tennis racket when I was five years old, and by the time I was into my teens I had to accept the fact that I would never find tennis shoes that comfortably fit my feet, which are wide with a high instep. Throughout my adult life I have become reconciled to having huge hard blisters on the outsides of each of my big toes, and also to my shoes often becoming untied because the center of where the laces tie crosses the high point of my high instep. Last year I even went to the point of purchasing lace-free tennis shoes from another brand, which were an interesting experiment but had unique problems of their own. So naturally when I looked through the reviews of these shoes I was thrilled to read that they run wide and have the laces set slightly off ... MoreI first picked up a tennis racket when I was five years old, and by the time I was into my teens I had to accept the fact that I would never find tennis shoes that comfortably fit my feet, which are wide with a high instep. Last year I even went to the point of purchasing lace-free tennis shoes from another brand, which were an interesting experiment but had unique problems of their own. So naturally when I looked through the reviews of these shoes I was thrilled to read that they run wide and have the laces set slightly off to the side. Voila, I ordered a pair and I could not be happier. They fit perfectly (I am usually a 6.5 but the website said they run large and that a 6 would be right, and it is); they are light but buoyant, and the minute I put them on I knew I will never again have to deal with blisters or shoelace issues. In addition, for some reason, they feel spongy and scrunchy under my toes, which gives a good feeling of grip and connection. A big thanks to whoever came up with this innovative design! And the color selection is great too! (PS - I cannot yet grade for durability because I only just started wearing these shoes.)
These are not just your average shoes. The sleek design first of all is great. Its nice and clean, with just enough punch of color. I also like that it gives your feet some nice air flow especially on hot days. They hold up pretty well wearing them for a walking, or even playing on the court. These will be a great summer shoe as well because you can wear them with and without socks.I like the no slip bottoms. I really like the fact the laces are off center which gives it a nice and fun look.I have a wider foot and these I feel run a little more narrow than I am used to with Nike shoes. It took me a few days to try to break these in. While they did start to fit a little but better, these are not made for wide feet. Because of that reason I only give these a 4/5 stars.
I’ve played tennis for 16 years. I’ve owned several different court shoes. I really loved these. The difference is in the bottom of the shoe. There is a lot of added traction to the bottom of the shoe to keep your feet firmly planted when needed. No accidental slipping on the court like you would playing in a regular sneaker. When I first tried on the shoes they felt pretty tight on my heel. My first impression was that it might not work. But after walking around for only 5 minutes they broke in very quickly. They are very comfortable and have great support. The design I thought was really fun. The laces are angled and add a lot of interest while still looking classic. Definitely recommend these.
I wanted to "love" this shoe but can only "like" it. Before completing my purchase, I read the reviews; and while the majority of reviewers indicated the fit was normal, I've purchased enough Nike shoes (8-10 pairs) and know a common challenge has always been the sizes run small. This time was no exception. I normally wear size 7 but experience influenced me to order the 7.5. I purchased the peaches/cream version and absolutely love the look, quality, durability and traction; however, the style is narrow and fits "snug" even with thin socks. In addition, the size 7.5 fits somewhat awkwardly for the foot that is slightly smaller.
