This is exactly what a tennis shoe should be. After a break in period, it feels like a cloud. The upper is extremely durable and locks your foot in place. No fear while making any moves on the court.Out of the box: The shoe feels heavy when you pull it out of the box. Once the shoe is on your foot, it’s barely noticeable. Looks great from above, a very modern tennis shoe.Break in period: The shoe felt stiff the first couple of wears. As it breaks in, the cushioning really excels. Instantly your foot feels locked in. Very solid fit, not too wide, not too narrow.Long term: They held up great and still look new after multiple wears.Overall, this is a great shoe and I had none of the issues I had previously read about. Putting the foot into the shoe was simple and easy, sometimes it can be a struggle to get your foot into certain tongue configurations but this one had a kind of sock, that is a plus, being able to slip on a shoe without too much struggle is a big plus. They felt great, the give in the sole is good, not too much, making it feel stable and comfortable. Not too much time was needed to really break the shoe in, they are ready to wear and comfortable right out the box, so much so that I wore them the entire day and didn't really feel like I was wearing a new shoe which is good! The outsoles make the shoe extremely durable. The midsoles are beautiful yet simple.I do my workouts at night so I thought I would incorporate these shoes into my workout after wearing them ... I used the shoes for some light sparring after cycling, they complimented the footwork required for sparring, I can see how these shoes are for Tennis and the construction of them make for great stopping and transfer of energy between your feet and body. This just verified the diversity of this shoe, always nice to have a shoe you can wear casual or, for walking and working out.Love the text under the Nike Symbol! The design is very unique. The Vamp includes a strong rubber pattern which looks cool but not too found of the pattern. It makes the shoe durable but wanted a more simple design for it, I wanted this shoe to mesh with a more uniform design on the vamp and the tips of the shoe. Also the same critique of the laces, I didnt like that the laces tapered to a point like a triangle. This is a very comfortable shoe and I feel like it should have a more sleeker/ uniform design, more creative patterns should be reserves for basketball, running shoes in my opinion. The shoe looks great at certain angles but clashes at others.Overall the comfort and durability are my favorite about the shoe. I like that it can be used as an everyday walking shoe and good for rugged and demanding workouts. I would change the patterns , I wanted this shoe to be more sleeker and more settle looking. Love the shoe not so much the look basically.

The fit of this shoe was perfect. Runs true to size. Has good heel lock down and opened up in the forefoot. Plenty of room in the box. The design of this shoe is very sleek and built for speed to cover ground on the court. Shoe was comfortable enough to wear all day long. Firm but responsive air units in forefoot maximized all day comfort. This shoe has many features my favorite being the flexible rubber reinforcement on the inside of the forefoot. Definitely increases durability and protects the toe box from toe drag that may occur when serving.
These shoes definitely show the value of getting shoes that were designed specifically for your sport. They are really snug and fit like a glove on your feet. They are pretty stiff, but for playing tennis that functions well to keep your feet very stable, and it makes a difference how tight you tie them. The traction on them is perfect for gripping the court. Looking at them, they don’t seem to have much cushioning, so I was really surprised at how cushy they felt - even more comfortable than some of my running shoes. I normally like when the tongue is attached on the sides, but on these shoes it felt like there might have been a little too much material in the tongue and it got a little bunchy. I'm a huge Nike fan in general when it comes to clothing and footwear, I feel like they always just get it right and execute their products well. Let me start with the positives here: I think the design of the shoe is GREAT. It's sleek and cool. The grip on the shoe is fantastic as well. Feel like not only is it great on the tennis court but also could be great to use for HIIT workouts in the gym. I also think the colorway for this series of shoe is great, again just great execution by Nike on their products. As far as the cons go, I think my biggest downside with this shoe is the actual fit itself. Understandably so, for a tennis shoe or a workout shoe, you want a tighter fitting shoe, but the fit of this shoe in my opinion is way too tight. I don't have a wide ... Understandably so, for a tennis shoe or a workout shoe, you want a tighter fitting shoe, but the fit of this shoe in my opinion is way too tight. I don't have a wide foot by any means, and I struggled to fit in my size shoe with this particular shoe. I wear the same shoe size across the board and have never had any trouble with the fit on my foot until this pair. I'm not sure if sizing up would be helpful or not but worth keeping in mind if you're trying them on in store. Once having the shoe on, the shoe is noticeably tight around the foot. I think if I had a say in future iterations of this particular series of shoe, I would keep in mind widening the fit of the shoe slightly just to avoid discomfort.
The Nike React Vapor Nxt Hc is a fun pair of shoes that allow you to perform at a high level on any court related sport and look stylish. The shoes have the trademarked Nike vapor technology to give you that comfort for instant mobility and confidence. The fit is tighter along the front and bit loose on the heel but getting a half size larger might be beneficial. The comfort and feel are evident to justify wearing these shoes all day and outside of just exercising. My favorite part of these shoes is the design! Even if I was not an athlete or sporty person, I would purchase for the aesthetic of the shoes as they reflect the modern sneaker trends. Unboxing these shoes I wasn’t sure what I was going to get. They seemed stiff and a bit clunky if I am being completely honest. However, I LOVED the look of the shoe.First time putting the shoe on I can definitely say that the shoe started out stiff. From the actual sole of the shoe to the material. I wasn’t sure if they were actually going to break in that much. Getting on the court for the first time it did take some time, but after about 30 minutes I could feel the shoe start to almost mold to my foot and gain some slack. Within an hour or so they were fitting pretty much perfect. From a design aspect I am not sure what gave the outsole it’s traction but the lateral control for cuts and stop/start on these is absurd. Honestly haven’t felt cuts this right in a shoe unless they were cleats. Also, the bit of plastic that comes up on the lateral toe box really helps keep the feet snug. Hadn’t noticed that part of the design until I really got into some court drills. From a comfort perspective these things do feel great to wear in training on and off the court. Even got some gym work in them and although I probably wouldn’t do heavy squats in them, they felt great for circuit training and lighter weights.Overall loved these shoes and would def buy another pair for the court. They seem super durable and I can follow up with a review on that in time. Only things keeping this from a score of 10/10 is currently unknown durability and the tongue. The tongue can bunch up need the mid foot and get a bit uncomfortable after a while. You can see it not be flush towards the mid foot with the shoe on and off in the pictures I have attached. If shoes hold up real well these definitely get a 9/10 in book!
These shoes are very unique with a grip/tread pattern on the toe box!Its good for control when you have to slide around when trying for maximum reach in tennis. The soles on the front part are pretty stiff but there is a layer of react sole in between the sole and feet from the arch to the heel to provide cushioning while remaining stiff and supportive. They seem stiffer than most other shoes I have had. That might be a good thing if you are in competitive matches. These run slightly narrow and a bit tight on the top of my feet for me the, but the length is true to size and overall, they are snug and comfortable. These are pretty cool looking, and the design/tech might even give you an edge on the court because you will have more control of your movements.
Upon receiving the product I was expecting the stiff feel generally associated with tennis specific shoes, but was extremely surprised. After a break in period lasting no more than a couple hours the shoes felt molded to my feet. The inner sock liner used to secure your feet wrapped around my foot snug, keeping it in place. As I have somewhat narrow feet, this is a feat not achieved in many shoes. Finally hitting the court in these, the feel was great. The midsole was supportive, but not overly so, creating an almost bouncy feel all while keeping your foot locked down. The traction never slipped, staying connected to the court no matter how hard I tried to make them slip. The single fault was the insole. The insole was too thin for the force put down when cutting, and tends to roll up at the edges. I replaced them with another pair, and it was great. The shoes also look better than most today, and I love how the outsole rolls up onto the toebox. It’s a perfect example of a bold stylistic choice gone right. The shoes are absolutely comfortable enough to wear on a daily basis, with a stable yet forgiving midsole. While they wouldn’t be my first choice for a daily shoe, it certainly could be. The only thing holding the shoe back would be the insole. Such a great shoe brought down by such an easily fixed insole is a shame, but also an easy fix for buyers.
