I have tried to remove the smell but have had no luck. In my opinion this really hurts the value of the shoes. These shoes look good but are over come with enough deficiencies that make these a fail. 1. They are very narrow 2. The upper is so stiff its likely to cut your ankle, which it did for me. I will try to return them. Ouch...
My son said the left shoe felt narrower in the toe area. They weren't very comfortable. I will have him try the shoes on first from now on. I had to return them and buy the same size another brand. Return, however, was hassle-free.
I'm not a big shoe person like other people I know, however I do like a good shoe. I only go out and buy a new shoe when my old ones are worn out. So this time around my girlfriend and I both decided that we would get match sneakers. I picked my size, we bought them, and left. My sneakers turned out to fit to well, I didnt know this because the store was closing and I was in a rush. I brought them back and traded them for a half of size up. The customer service here was really good, they were helpful, kind, and polite. I got a rewards carf from them now, and I'll be shopping here again...just because of the experience they gave me. P.S. My sneakers fit great and I love them.
I wear gym shoes for comfort. I've had both ankles reconstructed after playing a great deal of sports while I was younger and there are only certain shoes that provide the comfort that I need. This show feels very natural on my foot and I recommend it. I am active with working out, jogging, and play sports now and then to remain active. This is a very comfortable , durable, and stylish shoe.
