Best Nike free RN

This are my favorite Nike Free run up to date, for casual wear, gym, work, and running. I got them about a month ago and have wore them about 80% of them. besides the initial breaking in period, they are very comfortable shoes to wear in general, they look great. They feel good with small runs and sprints, and when you are training at the gym. I walk a lot at work, and these shoes are great for that. My only downside is the durability, i have had these shoes for about a month and i have noticed a bit of tearing around the outlines of the shoes unfortunately, and for a shoe that is meant to last since you'll be running in them daily it seems a bit disappointing. Other than that, they're great shoes and i would get myself another pair.

Guess I'm the odd man out cause despite all the positive reviews I found this shoe to be a comically bad iteration of previous Frees. I've been buying at least 2-3 pairs of Frees a year and wear them pretty much day in day out for a variety of activities. This new shoe is designed to be worn sock-less and has a skin tight feel but the insole isn't adhered to the shoe (presumably so you can wash them) so it slides out every time you take your foot out of the shoe. Then if there is any moisture on your feet when putting them on it grabs the insole and wrinkles under foot. Like others have mentioned this problem is compounded because the shoe is really hard to put on with no heel tab. The shoe is really low profile and looks great on foot, nimble, decent cushion, but seems to be too much of a departure from previous Frees and doesn't seem fully cooked. I think Nike should almost offer this in addition to Frees and call it something else trying to capture barefoot market share.

Good pair of running shoes indoor or outdoor

These were great running indoor on treadmill. They were comfortable and provided sufficient cushioning. Now with COVID19, I am running more outdoor and the shoes are still holding up well. I just switch to a Pegasus 36 shield and I feel they provided more feedback when running outdoor. Probably going to switch between them to made both last longer.

Great so far!
23 February 2020

I always read reviews before purchasing a running shoe. I was a bit skeptical buying these; however, I decided to take a chance since the price was so reasonable and purchased 2 pairs. I typically run in five-toe Vibrams, which I love tremendously, but needed an alternative since the military hasn't authorized five-toes yet. I've logged about 35 miles so far, with an average of 4-6 miles a day and my longest run in this shoe was a 7 miler. I know Nike recommends 3 miles for these but they feel really good if you are used to running in minimalist style shoes. Disclaimer, I am a heavier runner at 215lbs so the firm cushioning feels just right for me. I can still feel the road in these and it tends to make me focus on minimizing contact time with the running surface. ... MoreI always read reviews before purchasing a running shoe. No issues so far with durability or design. I will try and remember to follow-up in a few months to comment on durability. Comfort is relative and is dependant on many factors. I do think these are worth taking a chance on for the price. As of now, I would buy these again and would recommend them for other runners. Best of luck!

Heel just isn't secure
5 April 2020

I actually didn't buy this shoe off the Nike store because the color I wanted wasn't available. This shoe looks great! Feels pretty good, I didn't get to run in them because it was raining. I wore them around the house a bit, and immediately noticed the heel wasn't very secure. There isn't much support in the heel area, and I was afraid my heel would slip when I ran. So, I returned them. This shoe didn't work for me, but it looks really cool. I suggest you try them on in the store, then buy them.

Interesting
18 November 2019

I have purchase Frees since version 4. My favorite shoe. I was dubious about this version based on redesign. After a couple of weeks, I have grown to like the shoe very much. The outer sole looks like it will be more durable than the previous version and will pick up fewer stones and debris.A somewhat firmer feel but feels slightly more stable as well. At this point, I think it is a good update, although I haven't taken them outside yet.

Pretty good for me
28 July 2019

I seen a lot of reviews about this shoe being too tight in the forefoot. I have normal width feet I'd say and these fit me quite nicely. The forefoot for me isn't tight at all and is quite comfortable. Only issue I have is that the shoe is a bit tight to get on/off. If I'm wearing no show socks, they get pulled off whenever I take the shoes off. Not a huge issue but it is quite irritating. I've also seen other reviews mentioning the poor quality of the shoe and the soles separating from the shoe. Hopefully, this doesn't happen so I'm hoping maybe those people just got duds or something. I don't use these for running but more of a casual shoe so that might be a factor as well. Overall, they're really cool looking shoes and pretty comfortable.

Surprising feel
8 August 2019

First of all, I like them. I wear 10's, felt kinda snug in the toe. Sizing up to 10.5. The heel design is amazing and comfortable. The insole is thin and comes out when you take the shoe off... sort of annoying, but I can live with it. Overall, they feel good, have a nice bounce and are super light. As for the preset ratings (Size, Comfort, Durability), I can't speak to durability because I've only have them one day, so I gave it an "Average".

Very Comfortable- Bad Construction
30 July 2019

I purchased these shoes within the past 30 days and have worked to break them in, some might not thing they need it but it helps when they get molded to your foot. Overall love the free run feeling of this shoe. The fit is great but the construction is lacking. The bottom pieces have already started to separate and come apart. This is not something I would expect from a show especially since I am not hard on my shoes. This should be address as wearing these shoes for less then 30 days and they are already coming apart.

read the description before you buy
13 February 2020

i was assuming this would be a very controversial shoe with the extremely mixed reviews, but these are even better than i hoped.a very minimalistic runner for the sake that it says it in the description of the shoe. made for the most natural esthetic you can desire.if you are someone who may suffer from Plantar fasciitis or foot pains of the sorts these may not be the shoe for you. keep that in mind when looking for shoes
