I was surprised by the look of these. I like them, but my wife's first question was "Are those made from the recycling?" I suppose the wool lining and speckled overall appearance make them look a bit that way. Altogether I like the design quite a bit, especially the varied textures and coloring, though I don't particularly like the little tab that runs perpendicular up the toe. The tread is varied and definitely substantial, it's clear that these are meant for hiking or trail running. The fit was just as expected, and they are quite comfortable. I haven't noticed any difficult areas with wear-in. The tread can be a bit weird when walking on concrete, I generally try to wear them when I won't be. Aside from a small gripe about the little protrusion on the toe, there's not really anything I don't like about them.

The fit and feel of the shoe is great! I wear a size 10 and these shoes are true to size. I love how it’s made out of recyclable materials and quality of the shoes will trick you to think otherwise. As for the design, I love how it looks outdoorsy / trail-ish without looking too bulky. The design works well with both long pants or shorts, although I wouldn’t wear it to any semi-formal event with it.The comfort of the shoe is amazing. The free sole really makes a huge difference in comfort. I wore it all day in Santa Barbara and not once did my feet feel tired. The free bottom is very unique. It’s much more durable than the free run soles but it still provides a great amount of flexibility. My favorite part of the shoe is how easy it is to wear, from a style, ... You don’t have to question it’s comfort and know it will provide the comfort and grip you need for all day wear.Although I really love the shoes, there are two things I would suggest improving. The first is the interior material. Right now, it’s some sort of fleece material. After the first day of wearing it, you can see some wear and pelting on the inside heel area. I would change it to normal, typical shoe fabric on the inside. The second thing I would change is the style of the shoe laces. The current ones are round and they come off way too easily. I’ve probably tied it 5 times throughout the day because it came untied by itself. I would suggest changing it to a flat style shoe lace.Overall, I really love the shoes and it will be in my weekly rotation.

Overall this shoe looks and feels great, it's true to size and is very comfortable considering it's made of 20% recycled materials. I used them all day without ever feeling strain or discomfort and they are also useful as workout shoes. The shoes feel light and are not a bother, making them better for an all-day shoe. The one gripe I had with them was the tread on the bottoms of the shoe that resemble those of soccer cleats, that made them feel a little off on certain surfaces and terrains but despite that, you can't feel them and they are not difficult to wear. The design of the shoe overall was really nice and sleek, the colorway was neutral and made the shoe easy to wear for any fit. The only thing I did not like about the design is the bottom tread resembles cleats but that does not take from the overall style of the shoe. It has a good look for the outdoors and has a hiking vibe to it but would not use them in more extreme weather conditions simply because of the material. The best part about the shoes is the overall comfortability and feel. They are easy to wear physically and styling-wise. They are comfortable and depending on the outfit can go with most styles and occasions. They are easy to put on and take off but do not fall off easily. The only thing I would personally change is the spilt bottom with the bumps to make it feel a little less off when walking. But overall I love these shoes and would wear them on a daily basis.

I’ve only had the Mens Nike Free Terra Vista for a weekend and can already tell I’ll be taking these shoes on any outdoor adventure I have going forward. These shoes were perfect for winter outdoor activities - I wore them to the ski lodge in North Carolina. They were comfortable, warm, and provided great grip for slippery situations.I can see myself hiking in these shoes, biking, camping, and everything in between. They’re lined with a nice warm material that is more suited for the fall/winter months. They also have a lot of grip on the shoe, which was nice for snowy terrain. The only issue I have with the shoe is that it feels like it runs a little small. Not only in length, but in width. I don’t recommend wearing thick socks with this shoe, it will be tight.Overall I give this 4/5 stars - it’s not perfect but is a really great option for outdoor activities for those that want to stay active.
NIKE FREE TERRA VISTA (pure platinum/black-wolf grey)I love the outdoors and I am always on the lookout for great running shoes and that includes trail shoes. When going on trails I love to go on tough terrain where there is steep incline, jagged rocks and anything else Bear Grylls would run into. The NIKE FREE TERRA VISTA is a unique trail shoe that is made up of at least 20% recycled materials. This is Nike’s initiative to help protect the future by attempting to move towards zero carbon and zero waste. The NIKE FREE TERRA VISTA is a unique trail shoe that is made up of at least 20% recycled materials. This is Nike’s initiative to help protect the future by attempting to move towards zero carbon and zero waste. Even with this intriguing mission statement and economic friendly blueprint we must still ask ourselves, does the shoe holdup? One of the most important aspects of a trail shoe is the traction. The NIKE FREE TERRA VISTA has a rugged tread pattern but with a lot of open space between each tread. With this open space design, I noticed myself sliding many times while going down gravely and sandy terrain. My go to trail shoe is the ACG Zoom Air AO, which has a great gripping bottom. Another slight downfall of the shoe are its round laces. I noticed many times during my outing the laces coming undone. In the future I would swap out the laces with a flatter surface or use lace locks as an alternative. After going through multiple train runs, I noticed that the midsole takes a harsh beating. It seems like the midsole is very fragile and soft because I noticed many cuts and dents from rocks. Over a long-extended period of time I doubt these shoes can last that long before the midsole breaks apart. The overall aesthetic of the shoe is very pleasing. I love the soft suede like material and the grid like pattern near the toe box area. The sleek design makes it a great casual shoe besides outdoor activities. I loved wearing these casually with my jeans and joggers to do my daily activities like grocery shopping or going to the movies. I love the “rock wall” like pattern at the heel of the shoe. It furthers emphasizes the outdoors feel. I believe a pull-tab on any shoe is extremely essential and with a reflective detail it’s a plus. The midsole on my is speckled off-white color which is great because it helps give the illusion that it is not dirty from the dirt. My greatest pet-peeve with shoes are dirty midsoles so this off-white speckled pattern is fantastic. Another aspect of the shoe that drew my eye was the zig pattern at the top of toe are where it sort of divides the shoe in half. It’s a unique design that reminds me of sort of Japanese slippers. On the side panels of the shoe there is a five abstract hole pattern for breathability. Throughout my runs my foot never felt too hot but the overall five hole pattern is a little too much aesthetic wise. The five hole pattern makes the shoe less sleek and becomes a little too distracting to the eyes. The shoes are very light weight which is another aspect I admire but I would like a little more ankle support if I am doing trail runs. Road running is fine but when I am on more intense terrain some extra support would put my mind at ease. Overall the NIKE FREE TERRA VISTA is a decent shoe many has too many short comings. They have a great variety of eye catching colorways for that outdoors casual look but it is not one my favorite trail running shoes. I would rather go with something from the NIKE ACG line. If you are looking for a great looking casual shoe with an outdoor look this is for you! At the end this more of a casual fashion shoe than function shoe.
The Nike Free Terra Vista Next Nature is a great all around shoe. I would say the fit on these are true to size and very comfortable. At first glance I was kind of skeptical about this model as it is different from the regular free run model. But after a couple wears I really enjoyed them. From working on my feet all day, to going on several trail walks I can say these shoes definitely hold up nice! The comfort is great as well as all of the materials used on the shoe. My favorite part about the shoes is the multiple uses you can get out of them from training to working, to casually wearing them to the store. I don’t think I would need to change anything about this shoe as it is great in my opinion and will be in my daily sneaker rotation. However if I absolutely had to make a change or critique this shoe it would be to remove the thick stitch line that connects the top of the toe box panel that is made of the suede like material. I would definitely recommend these sneakers to anyone and everyone in the market for an all around durable shoe.
I got these shoes last month and have since put 30ish miles on them, both running and walking. Due to the weather, the majority of use has been on a treadmill, roughly 75% indoors and 25% outdoors.I typically run in shoes with a lot of support due to knee issues and initially thought these wouldn't be supportive enough. However, after 30 miles, the support has been more than enough for me. They actually strike a good balance of being fairly light and rigid (in a good way). I believe these are technically trail shoes but I've walked and run on trails (paved and dirt), sidewalks and my treadmill -- all fine with no issues. If I'm being nitpicky, the fabric on the heal, although very soft, tends to cause a loose fit if I'm just walking and don't tighten up the ... However, after I get going and my feet warm up, it's perfect. I didn't have this problem while running since I typically tighten the laces more.Lastly, I like the style and concept of using recycled materials for new shoes. The style aspect is definitely subjective but they're nice, perfect for the trail, in my opinion.
These Nike Free Terra Vista are amazing. From the trail to the classroom these shoes check every box! The comfort is unbelievable, as an educator I spend most of my day standing and walking around. The support these shoes offer has definitely helped periodic joint pain. The comfort is paired with a style that supports a classic science teacher look. My students actually gave me compliments instead of looks of disgust which typically happens with my shoe selection. We have received a lot of snow/ice recently in the North East.
