The rainbow-colored multiknit Flyknit in the heel is inspired by original Nike Flyknit footwear that brings a breathable, energetic element. And don’t forget to look for the black-to-white plate fade with Volt-colored stud tips on the bottom. Nike Gripknit is a sticky material that provides better touch to the ball. It takes up most of the upper, including the first 2 laces, covering the most common strike zones of the foot. It molds to the shape of your foot and gives you equal grip in wet or dry conditions. Asymmetry in the collar and heel provides comfort. Soft elements in the heel make for an easy break-in process and help reduce irritation and pressure without compromising stability and structure. Our ghost lace system lets you forget about your shoelaces when it’s time to play. A Flyknit cover offers access to the laces for tying and provides a cleaner cleat-to-ball connection. It complements the Gripknit while offering a secure fit and feel. Tri-star studs work with forefoot flex grooves to provide optimal traction and help unlock change of direction. See the lines on the outsole? They match your typical on-field movements, which push forward then zigzag before a strike.

NO BLISTERS like the GT 2 Elite DF. the laces underneath the ghost lace system are fine. it does not add bulk to the boot. it just may look different with the lace cover.i definitely want to buy several more pairs, even in the lowtop version. the black colorway is BEAUTIFUL. the Baltic Blue and white is equally as beautiful. definitely snag several pairs if you can. i hope Nike keeps the Phantom GX line for years to come.

Wow -- Nike this this one out of the park. The design, construction, quality, etc. all are amazing. The aesthetic is unreal. Absolutely beautiful. If you think they look awesome in pictures, they look even better in your hands and on your feet. Love Nike's Gripknit -- gives you a ton of ball control and touch. Perfect amount of grip -- gives you great control but isn't too sticky. I like the Ghost Lacing cover because it covers the laces and obviously allows the ball to contact a flat surface as opposed to the laces, but because I'm very detail-oriented and like to re-lace all my shoes/cleats to make them perfectly even, it does make the job difficult. I recommend this boot for technical players and playmakers probably playing in the middle of the park, but also ... MoreWow -- Nike this this one out of the park. Ready to go right out of the box, and after a couple wears they're perfect. People have said the sizing can be a slight tad too long, and I can see that. For me though, I went with my true size and would still go with that if I were to do it again. It being a hair long doesn't warrant going down a half size or anything (in my humble opinion). Would recommend your true size, but if you like your fit a little tight rather than a tiny bit loose, it wouldn't be terrible to go down half a size. Width is perfect and the boot is just super soft and comfy. Not super narrow like the Mercurial or anything. Heel liner is outstanding as well.Highly recommend this boot/cleat if you're serious about your football/soccer! One of the best cleats from Nike in some time. What're you waiting for? Get these!

I remember my first pair of cleats; they were a pair of black Nikes with a red swoosh and I put so many hours and games on those boots. The one thing I always hated was by the end of a match or practice when I take them off my feet felt like they could breath for the first time. These phantoms are nothing like that pair of cleats from over twelve years ago. The first time I put these on I marveled at how light they felt and how far cleats have come in this last decade. I love the lace system on these. Super easy to get on yet felt secure. I absolutely love the fly knit uppers, the cleats are so light that they truly make you think your are barely wearing anything. The only reason I took a star off was the fact that these run slim. Most cleats do, however these are ... Most cleats do, however these are ridiculously tight and the footprint of the shoe does not allow for much room for those of us with slightly wider feet. Hopefully the breakin period is almost over and the midsole forms a better contour.

First off, I love this shoe! I was initially concerned with the sizing but as you wear the shoe it begins to conform perfectly to the foot. Granted the lockdown on the shoe is done with an elastic shroud, if you want a tighter fit, there are laces under the elastic shroud to give a tighter fit if needed. The versatility in locking the foot down with the elastic and the laces is a great touch. The heel is properly supported with a decently padded heel cup that doesn’t cause and rubbing but further locks your foot in the shoe once you get it on. The shoe can be a little tough getting your foot in but that’s an easy fix by making sure you’re putting the shoe on with a very grippy surface like grass. The shoe can be a little tough getting your foot in but that’s an easy fix by making sure you’re putting the shoe on with a very grippy surface like grass. Sizing wise, it’s interesting since the upper is a laminated Flyknit but it does stretch out. At first the cupping around the ankle can be a bit small but it does end up holding you in to the point it’s as if the shoes are attached to your foot. Weight wise, these are very lightweight all around where it feels like your foot and the shoe are one. The cleat part of the shoe is very flexible but also rigid at the same time. Making quick plays and changing positions are effortless with the best grip and feel you could ever need. I would like to add I really enjoy the look of the shoe with the multi-colored Flyknit, hits of volt (yellow), and the shroud that keeps the foot locked down and yet breathable. However, if you have a wide foot, this shoe is made very narrow. If you have a narrow foot, true to size is perfect. Even a medium width foot you’ll be alright true to size. If you have a wide foot, size up at least a half size. Sock thickness also plays a part too. I’d also add consider what thickness of socks you wear with these for maximum comfort.Pros:* Quality materials* Once the upper is worn in a bit, the shoe conforms perfectly to the foot with great traction and support* Laminated upper* Flexible but rigid cleat frame* Lightweight* Amazing play on materials* Comes with a well designed drawstring bagCons:* Depending on foot width, may be uncomfortable for some with a wider foot. If your foot is wider, size up half a size.* Breaking in time may take some time but that’s also depending on foot width.Overall, a very well engineered shoe with ultimate traction, grip, materials, comfort and tech.
Unbelievably effective boot with some very cool tech. The Phantom Gx Elite Df Fusion Fg feels like nothing else out there. Right out of the box, I noticed an increased ability to push forward and transition to lateral movements easily. It honestly feels like an energy drink for my feet. The Phantom Ultra is probably is the closest boot I can think of that even compares in performance. They are a little tough to get on, but the multiknit upper is very soft and provides some excellent comfort. I also like the swirly striped design details that divide the flyknit and gripknit fabrics. And the gripknit is super effective - I get better touch and extra control without it feeling sticky. The extra length can make these feel a floaty, but I’ve never had an issue with heel slippage. The lace system does allow you to customize the fit, but locking them down doesn’t really mitigate the extra room I have in the toe box.Overall, I highly, highly recommend the Phantom Gx Elite Df Fusion Fg. My rotational mobility is dramatically improved and get a solid boost to speed and stability. Even if you typically prefer lows, give these a shot. You won’t be disappointed!
The Nike Phantom Gx Elite DF is an amazing set of cleats. These cleats feel like they'll last a long time and are premium in feel and materials. The upper has Gripknit and felt great when I made contact with the ball and it feels like a protected second skin. The studs worked really well both on turf and grass and I always felt like I had control running in straight lines and side to side. There were a few things that I feel needed some improvement. The cleats are difficult to put on and take off. With the laces being covered, it was difficult to loosen the upper and put my feet in. When removing the cleats, the insole would shift around. These are proper football boots! The Nike Phantom GX Elite DF Fusion FG are amazing firm ground boots and there are so many aspects that I instantly fell in love with. The shrouded lacing system works very well and creates a really nice fit combined with the Dynamic Fit collar. They are a little tricky to get on, but once your foot is in, it's locked down. The Flyknit upper feels amazing and multicolor colorway is just stunning to look at. In terms of performance on the pitch, the Gripknit is sticky to the feel out of the box and gave me confidence when in my touch when on the ball. The soleplate was snappy and the studs still worked great on artificial grass. I really enjoy these boots and although I personally thought they ran a little long for my foot, they were ... The cleats are a perfect fit once they are on. Extremely comfortable playing in them on both turf and grass. They are, however, a big difficult to put on given the soft material around the opening. The cleats are also very lightweight and didn’t feel weighed down in damp conditions.I love the design. The neutral gray and black base make the colorful sections pop. They’re stylish but not overly flashy. I also love the raised ankle support. As someone with ankle issues in the past, I can feel an extra bit of security which brings some additional comfort and peace of mind. These clears are definitely one of the more comfortable cleats I’ve worn. Normally, you’d have to trade off being lightweight for more ankle support but I feel like this cleat has both. I would definitely recommend this cleat to other competitive players. These cleats surely are a step up from all the other clears I've worn in my years playing soccer.
Right out the box the Phantom Gx Elite Df Fusion is a beautiful looking shoe. The ghost lacing really gives it a sleek profile and practical way to keep your shoelaces from coming undone. The shoes looked narrow and this is coming from someone who has narrow feet.On foot they felt tight, but after a couple of wears the shoe formed to my feet. Even after forming, the shoes still felt secure and snug on foot. I really like the ankle collar and extra padding around the heel/ankle. I turn/twist my ankles pretty easy, so any extra support is appreciated. The shoes feel great while running & controlling the ball is awesome. With the ankle collar the shoe being one piece with no tongue, you can’t put this shoe on or take it off fast. I have to put my thumb deep into the heel and apply some force to take them off. At first, i kinda wished they put a small zipper on the back or on the side to help with that. But i think that it would have taken away from the overall fit and few of the shoe. Which is way more important.
My son loves this boot. It had him at design but he really fell in love with it on the field. He plays soccer 4-5 times a week. After his first practice in these shoes he was stoked. His highest praise was for the excellent traction and stability, also he said he LOVES the way the ball sticks to these shoes! The touch he feels on the ball is fantastic. Getting into them couldn't be easier. The slip in design has changed his world. The boot is cut and shaped nicely, he doesn't foresee any issues with blisters or a breakin period. Insoles are comfortable and bounce back nicely for consecutive days wear. No problem with discomfort after a long game or practice.Shooting feels amazing! The design is perfect, it left nothing to be desired, its eye catching somehow ... MoreMy son loves this boot. The design is perfect, it left nothing to be desired, its eye catching somehow without loud colors that just get dirty.Nice breathability. His feet stay dry which just feels better. The only change he said would be nice is just a smidgen more room in the toe box and the shoe is just slightly stiff. He has found his favorite soccer shoe for sure!
