For the days when the rains hiss and the winds howl but your running needs must be met, no matter how bleak it looks out the window, the Infinity 4 GTX is your go-to. It's layered with water-proof GORE-TEX throughout, highlighted by a warm heathered collar, to keep your feet dry when the conditions are dripping and dropping. Combine those thermal-like attributes with our Nike ReactX foam, which gives you 13% more energy return compared to Nike React foam. What's more, Nike ReactX reduces the carbon footprint of the midsole by at least 43% compared to Nike React foam, so it helps support the planet too. You'll be seeking out puddles and piles as you rack up the miles.

Amazing for rainy days

These shoes have proven to be amazing for these rainy fall days we’ve been having. The gortex fabric works exactly as it should- my feet have stayed dry and I tried VERY hard to get them wet. They have a great amount of cushion and I don’t feel like they make me pronate or supinate. They do seem to have a pretty thick/tall sole on them for a tennis shoe but it’s nothing that I would necessarily change, it just took a little getting used to. These shoes fit very true to size in both length and width for me. The overall design gets an A from me from the fit all the way to the color. I would definitely be inclined to recommend these to anyone who needs an all weather running shoe.

The “storm-tread” sole did its job and kept me from slipping, even on the thin layer of mud on the sidewalk as the dogs pulled to find cover. That said, it took my feet a little time to get used to the cushion because it’s not like any running shoe I’ve tried before. The shoe has a snug fit but with the foam of the sole being mostly towards the back, I think going up a half size would push my foot too far forward. My only real complaint about these shoes is that they aren't very breathable. That’s expected with a water-proof shoe, but I had hopes that with the GORE-TEX being layered the shoe would be able to breathe better. After a longer jog in sunny weather I found that the tops of my feet hadn’t gotten any air circulation. Ultimately this is a shoe I’m glad to have to help me stay dry and feel safe on those rainy and slippery days and it doesn’t hurt that the ReactX foam is better for the environment.

Definitely waterproof and slip resistant I would

I would give this shoe a 5 except for the sewn in tongue on the shoe. This is the second pair of waterproof Nikes I've owned. They have definitely improved. I wore these shoes in Italy for two weeks and walked 35000 steps a day. Rainy weather was not a problem. My socks were dry and feet warm and cozy. As for the sewn in tongue on the shoe, this was a problem for me. It was way too tight. The same issue on my previous Nikes with Goretex. I literally had to take scissors to them and cut the tongues down an inch and a half. Not sure why they can't improve the shoes with stretch in the tongue or stop sewing them so tight. Other than that issue, they were amazing. The black fit perfectly with all my outfits in Italy.

Fantastic cold weather runners -- run small
9 January 2024

These are the best cold and wet weather road runners I've tried in years -- solid, truly waterproof, great grip on wet and slippery surfaces, superb support (my aching knee loved them), warm and cozy yet breathable. They also run small. I oscillate between 7 and 7.5 depending on the brand, always 7.5 with Nike. For these, because the construction is so solid and the shoe well built to leave the elements out of your way, the 7.5 was too tight. I tested them on a short 2.5-mile outing (I usually run 5-7 miles) and my feet suffered a bit. No blisters but aches where the bottom seams are and, because I have high insteps, on the instep top. The toe box is perfect -- the room you need while running but no excess. I run regularly both on road and trail, and there are plenty of good to excellent trail runners for cold and wet weather. Not so much for road. These ones are fantastic.

Great Shoes!
9 October 2023

First, let me say I wouldn’t normally go for these type of shoes, the design is not one that I would be drawn to. However, I am super ecstatic that I have them! They are very comfortable for running, walking & everything in between. The fit is true to size & feel wonderful on my feet. I have worn them literally all day with no issues. I’ll be honest, I was skeptical about the waterproof design when I first received them. I wore them in a heavy rainstorm & my feet were well protected! I was totally surprised & couldn’t believe how the material is truly waterproof & provided so much protection. What I like most is the protection from the rain- no more soggy socks! Although they may be machine washable, so not a huge deal breaker. Overall these are great shoes for everything especially running or walking in the rain.

Love these!
18 October 2023

It happened to rain the day after I received these shoes, so I took them for a test run while it was still sprinkling. The InfinityRN 4 is so comfortable. There's so much cushion in the sole with a good amount of bounce. The grip, in the rain, is nice. I would recommend going up a half size. These fit perfectly snug, but with little stretch in the Gore-Tex material, I think I should've sized up. The reflective areas are also a great touch as I have been running in the pitch black mornings. The fit was comfortable, no digging in or slipping off the heel. Overall, these are some great looking shoes with amazing function. I definitely recommend.

Love this new shoe
9 October 2023

At first look I did not really know what to expect from these shoes however, I was pleasantly surprised. I will start by saying that they have great support, especially on the heel and ball of my foot. I have very wide feet, so I find a lot of shoes to be uncomfortable and just have no stretch or give. From the moment I slipped my feet into these shoes they just felt great. Super soft cushioning felt great and has a nice kind of bounce to it. Fantastic heel stability. Mid-sole is responsive, soft with smooth stability. Superior traction, especially on wet surfaces. Kept my feet warm and dry without causing them to sweat. Breathability was way better than I expected. The upper or tongue of the show was also soft, warm, and very comfortable. I noticed I was sent a half size up which I am grateful for because my actual size I think would have been too tight. There are only two things that I would suggest changing. They are a little bit on the heavier side and for some walkers and runners that can pose an issue. The other thing is the design, to me was kind of bland. I think black would be a better color especially with the Gore-Tex material.

Not good for wide feet

Rain? No excuses!
9 October 2023

As the weather changes and the rain returns to the PNW, these shoes are absolutely perfect for long outdoor runs. True to size in it’s fit, these are just roomy enough that if your tendency it to foot strike on the balls of your feet, they won’t slide forward and create any issues with your toes. The upper is breathable enough that normal socks on long runs won’t punish your feet by suffocating them. The cushioning is what you’d expect from this set up, with the heel super padded and supportive. They hold and don’t give away underfoot, especially with my size/weight. The upgraded traction on the soles, again, make it ideal in wet weather. Coupled with the gortex upper, I didn’t find my feet soaking after a recent rainy day run.Of course, these are equally ... MoreAs the weather changes and the rain returns to the PNW, these shoes are absolutely perfect for long outdoor runs. I really wasn't sure what to expect of these because sometimes the reactx line has seemed a little bulky to me but I really, really loved them! They fit a little on the snug side but not overly tight, feels more secure than anything and are so incredibly comfortable on your feet. They're super bouncy and as the name implies, very reactive to each step you take but it doesn't feel too soft and bouncy that they aren't supportive anymore. I loved the colors I got them in, it seems like a good neutral but with a little splash of fun.Fortunately I got these right before a few rainy days where I live and they held up to the gore tex standard of keeping my feet super dry and maintaining traction.Although they weren't as bulky on the feet as I anticipated I will say they ... MoreI really wasn't sure what to expect of these because sometimes the reactx line has seemed a little bulky to me but I really, really loved them! They fit a little on the snug side but not overly tight, feels more secure than anything and are so incredibly comfortable on your feet. Also, even though they're running shoes I felt they could still be styled with casual wear as well. Honestly I've found myself wearing them a lot more than I thought I would and am excited to have them in my rotation of daily footwear.
