These are great. From what I remember of the original Juniper Trail 1's I had, these feel much improved. This iteration definitely feels a lot more stable with a firmer (but still comfortable) midsole cushion, and a nice rubber outsole with some traction - which should be good for handling trail conditions. I also remember that in the Juniper Trail 1's, the heels bottomed out really quickly, but these feel beefed up there, and again with the firmer foam in the midsole that should mitigate that issue in this version. Materials are alright, it is a more budget trail shoe so don't expect anything too premium, but there's a thicker weave fabric and some fusing towards the outside areas to hopefully boost longevity of the shoe, and a nice breathable mesh along the ... MoreThese are great. Lockdown feels good - there's some midfoot cables to pull the foot down, and extra lace holes up top you can use to draw the foot into the heel of the shoe. For me it does press into my ankle bones just a bit, not painful but noticeable, however I think with time that should wear into shape - as there's good cushioning in that area. Overall feels like a solid trail shoe under $100.

These. Shoes. Squeak. Every. Step.Which is a bummer because they look cool. They feel a bit less stable than Pegasus trail, but have a decent feel outside of the squeaking. I have loved my Nike trail shoes up til now but these are giving me some serious buyers remorse. Save up for Pegasus trail instead.

I debated a long while on these, and another in the women's style and color...I bought both and I've had only trouble in finding things to match my shoes everyday! I purchased accordingly for the men's style to fit my usual 9, so I was lucky to get such a smaller size in store...the women's I purchased in an 8 1/2 so my daughter could wear them too, and to be honest- they are more than what I expected, and could've hoped. I only hope they last or they are still available if and when they get worn out- I get attached to a style and colors of shoes....but this is honestly my first branching out for my own feet in Nike. I am not at all disappointed, rather impressed at the scope of their sneakers and the purposes. Excessive wear on bottoms.
4 August 2023

I’ll begin with the positive. The shoes are very comfortable and “gripping”. The bad news is the treads are wearing down excessively fast. Many of the “knobs” are now flush with the bottom. I’ve only worn them 90-100miles. Very unhappy!

Good walking shoes
2 July 2023

I’ve ran about 20 miles on this on the road and grass and don’t think they are that great for that. It’s stiff and the foam doesn’t feel nearly as good as many other shoes at a similar price. However, I think it’s a good walking shoes for road/grass/dirt environments. I don’t recommend these for running but for casual walking or even very light hiking shoes, they will do just fine. For me, it’s a below average running shoe but good walking shoe.

Great for hiking in Colorado!
25 July 2023

I bought these for my son. He usually wears New Balance. He said these tennis shoes are extremely comfortable. I bought them for hiking in the mountains in Colorado this summer. My only complaint is that the cream colored ones get dirty quickly!

My 3rd pair!
13 August 2023

My 3rd pair. Very comfortable. Was't sure of the white and yellow. But it looks good even on my size 14 foot. I wish the tongue was white instead of the tannish color. It will make a difference in what I wear with the white shoe. The shoe runs about a 1/4 to 1/2 size big which causes some socks to slide down. I own all the colors of the previous Juniper Trail 1's. Review would be 5 stars if not for those two issues.

NIKE ACG for less then $40 This deal was a steal!
30 July 2023

These ACG shoes are amazing!! I cannot believe I got these for less than $40! They feel like walking on air, but with the support and traction of all terrain cleats! I wish I could order more, these are perfect for early days working out on wet grassy fields, and for sunset weekend hikes along the trail.

Not bad, but not great
8 June 2023

Bought these are they were reduced and seemed good value compared to the other Nike Trail model trainers, some of which I already own. I also liked the colour. Not a bad shoe, good fit, good quality but noticeably less padding underneath, harder and much less comfortable that my Pegasus trail 3’s or 4’s. You get what you pay for really. They’re okay for walking the dog but that’s about it.

great music festival shoe
4 May 2023

This is a really terrific shoe. I purchased for a music festival to have all day comfort and stability and they worked wonders. I’ve since bought in 3 colors for the summer. After countless Ultraboost, Ghosts and Trace these will definitely be my new festival shoes.
