I research basketball shoes before I purchase them, usually 2-3 months in advance. It is a big investment to find the right basketball shoe that offers comfort, support, traction, durability, lockdown, premium materials, lightweight and full length cushioning to boot! The shoe is true to size and very comfortable. There is no break-in time, just put it on and hit the courts. The full length zoom and the ankle support eliminated my need to wear ankle wraps. I actually use these shoes for volleyball now because they offer that added support, cushioning and bounce in my jumps. These shoes were so nice, I am glad I picked up 3 pairs. I plan on picking up another pair of KD12s, before the KD13s arrive this summer.

So this review unfortunately is not about the actual sneaker, but Dicks online service. I bought these shoes for my sons 13th birthday and wrapped them straight from the shipping box. When he opened them, they were covered on the inside with black pet fur!!! He was disgusted. I was mortified. When products are returned to the warehouse they should be checked before restocked!

I ordered true to size and these are very snug, especially in the toe box and a little bit on the inner arches, but comfortable right out of the box. I've been playing in Kyrie 3s for a while and right away I noticed the difference with the full length zoom in these. The cushion set up feels fantastic! I'll have to update after playing for overall traction and comfort, but they seem promising.

I've been searching for a basketball shoe that meets what I look for in a great shoe. I'm a point guard and I like to drive and create off the dribble quickly. Personally I feel a lot of the shoes nowadays feel too bulky, stiff and heavy for my play style. That is not the case with these. They fit perfectly snug, but not too tight and the zoom is very impressive. Soft yet provide great court feel. These shoes are top notch.
I'm really picking when it comes to my shoes. But the kd 12 are probably one of the best basketball shoes I have ever owned. This is not just a show boat shoe, for just looking good. The shoe is light and quick and has great traction. And I love the zoom air pockets, they are awsome for support and comfort.More less if your a serious baller who loves to play and win, these are the shoes for you!!!
I have worn size 13 shoes for a long time. But these shoes came in and right away I noticed how tight they were in the toe box. These shoes run narrow in the toe box. My feet are between a normal and wide size for width and these shoes rubbed on my pinky toe pretty hard. Pretty bummed I was excited about these. They felt comfortable until a couple games in and I just realized that they were too narrow.
This shoe is small, so order half to full size up. If this shoe is for style, order a full size up. If you intend to play with any seriousness, order a half size up (but if you have really wide foot, this shoe is not for you). The biggest challenge with this shoe is entry. One has to practically bruise the foot to get it inside. I had to ship back my true size and order up. But once inside, this is a sublime fit. The full length Air unit is evident immediately. The collar is soft and gives support. The lockdown is legion. Great looking, too. But that entry! There has got to be a way to change the design to ease this process. My high arch made the process even worse. I have to carry a shoe horn with me and that's just LAME.
I guess it's not to say that it's poorly made as much as to say that the little features on it. Little paper logos are like tags and they are somehow supposed to stay on the shoe? mine tore off while playing. After a month of straight wearing them playing, I thought that my shoe would fit more to my foot. not true it has stayed narrow and after playing only eight times my shoe already has a hole in it at the toe cap in the material. This is a poorly made shoe that I would not recommend playing with unless you have an incredibly narrow foot and don't mind some corny features on your shoe.
This shoe was a major let down! My son has had them for a week and the rubber is separating from the toe and on the side of the shoe! The shoe also has very little grip! This is the second time I have had a problem with a pair of KD’s. Will be returning and will not support anymore of his shoes. This should not happen in a week! I can only imagine what they would look like at the end of the season.
These shoes not only deliver on-court, but they're also amazing shoes in general. I personally have wide feet, so most shoes don't fit me exactly the way I want them to, but once these broke in, I fell in love. The immediate underfoot Zoom Air is brilliant and it is awesome to feel it squish as you step. The lockdown is perfect, not too tight, not too free. I've worn many kicks, but these are by far the best. No hesitation.
