My husband was rather excited when I surprised him with these KD TREY 5 IX shoes. They look pretty darn cool, and were instantly comfortable when he put them on. I really appreciated the fact that they are true-to-size. He said that the high top is snug, but not tight around his ankle, and the sole is super squishy yet surprisingly supportive. With that higher top, they aren't going to accidentally slip off, which is great for basketball as well as running after our kiddos. The material is a good quality and feels durable. All in all, a great addition to his show collection!

I bought my first pair at local sports shop. Loved them straight away. The support in the middle foot is Excellent and the grip on the court is so confident that you don't need to worry about it. Ankle support is average, but I never had ankleissues anyways. The heel locks in nicely for me. My toes werenever a problem straight out of the box. Now ya all no y I got me 6 pair of them. The BIRD would have loved them.

I originally got these because I saw a video of Chris Staples dunking in them, so I figured if one of the best dunkers in the world wears them then they got to at least be decent. I dunked in them and got up a little higher than usual. Very bouncy feeling in the forefoot area. I mostly jump on concrete and did not experience any shocks from firm/ violent foot plants on my dunks. I was flying off one foot. I normally get a little pain in the tibialis area from hard foot plants on one foot jumps. Did not feel any pain from that jumping in these shoes. Don’t know about durability yet, haven’t had them long enough. And can’t say anything about actually hooping in them but my guest would be they are just fine. People need to understand shoes are not a magic pill for ... MoreI originally got these because I saw a video of Chris Staples dunking in them, so I figured if one of the best dunkers in the world wears them then they got to at least be decent. These shoes fit very well and are very comfortable to wear. I do not play basketball, but I bet they would be great shoes for playing basketball in. They feel very solid and supportive around the ankles. The shoe is comfortable for wearing as a daily wearer. I have been wearing these daily and they are very comfortable even while standing for long periods of time. The design is very nice. They are not overly flashy, which fits my style. The only issue these shoes have caused me is that I may have to get a pair for my high school son for basketball season, as he has been threatening to steal these from me.
Not impressed by these sneakers, Nike has skimped on materials and padding. Sneakers squeak loudly. Tongue is VERY thin with VERY poor padding. Plenty of glue residue left behind on the join between the sole and the sides. Not comfortable at all - there's a material join and stiching on the inside of both sneakers that pinch and hurt your foot. Loose-lacing them a lot does help with this, but doesn't eliminate the problem. Sizing is true to size, but a slightly narrower fit. Not recommended.
This shoe is an amazing basketball shoe. From the minute I put them on I felt like KD. I can run faster jump higher. No one can touch this guy on the court! I recommend anyone unsure about what brand or style, look no more! Right here, is where it's at. Get your fire KD's from Finishline today.
The shoes appear to be new and unused as described, however the shoe box lid was missing...not exactly an accurate description of "new with box", who cuts off the shoe box lid?! The shoes in general look better in person than in pictures. They are very comfortable with a rounded toe box so not too narrow or cramped like most Bball shoes these days; though they are low profile so not much wiggle room. Fit is snug but true to size, I would maybe go up half a size if able to. Cushion is adequate.
Pros:– Arch support is specifically excellent and in this respect is superior to a lot of other generic shoes in this category– Size and fit is just right, according to size (for me, that's a 12)– Good tread and grip for everyday, all-around athletic shoe– Comfortable throughout the day– Very lightweight– Design of mine is medium height, black with white trim and Nike swoosh and a gray circle on the outside-facing side of each shoe. I love the crisp, casual/classy look, unlike a lot of mostly white athletic shoes that show dirt too soon, and certainly preferred to all the bright neon colored shoes begging for attentionCons:– Laces are the more traditional flat shape, and narrow, so they feel "thin" or wimpy, as if they might break sooner than round, thicker ... MorePros:– Arch support is specifically excellent and in this respect is superior to a lot of other generic shoes in this category– Size and fit is just right, according to size (for me, that's a 12)– Good tread and grip for everyday, all-around athletic shoe– Comfortable throughout the day– Very lightweight– Design of mine is medium height, black with white trim and Nike swoosh and a gray circle on the outside-facing side of each shoe. I don't know if that's actually true, but it gives me that impression.– Being lightweight and designed for daily athletics, their tread and materials are not really suited to hiking or other off-road type roaming activity. For example, they are great for biking or walking on the greenway, but if I take them a lot on nature trails that branch off of the greenway, they may not last well, and their appearance probably won't. Perhaps that's not a con, as that is not the design. Use them for what they work well for, which is quite a lot. Conclusion:I found these shoes to be excellent, as long as one takes into account that they are for everyday athletic activity. They are very light and comfortable, particularly having good arch support. And the design is crisp and clean, rather than busy or gaudy. I highly recommend them.
These are my first pair of KDs and they are extremely comfortable! I love the cushion from the Nike renew and Air zoom cushioning system. I have wide feet and these fit perfect for me. They required practically no break in period. They are very supportive and have excellent grip. I will only be wearing KDs for basketball moving forward.
