This shoe fit like my husband like a glove, like it was just made for his foot. He said they were ridiculously comfortable and spacious without any cramping or being too big. They seem very durable as if they will last some serious wear and tear, which is great in Florida with the heat and hot pavement. The design of the shoe is eye-catching and different, but he was not surprised because he says Nike is always known to have styles that are striking and different. He put these shoes to the test and was very pleased with them, not only do they look the part, but they feel the part. Favorite thing about these shoes was the style and the design of the shoes. Overall, everything checked out without disappointment.

This shoe was kind of my only option when it came to looking for an affordable wide shoe. I owned the previous model of the KD budget line (KD Trey VIII) and they were great for both indoor and outdoor play. The rubber on this shoe is durable and grippy. The shoe is wide and it has good stability. The only issue I faced was with the air zoom unit. Towards the beginning of my usage, the air unit felt like it was protruding into the sole. It's the only basketball shoe with Nike air that I've had this issue. I believe it's due to the position and shape of the air unit under the ball of the foot. This issue disappeared after the shoe broke in and softened up. I recommend a few practise sessions before you use it in-game. I bought my first pair at local sports shop. Loved them straight away. The support in the middle foot is Excellent and the grip on the court is so confident that you don't need to worry about it. Ankle support is average, but I never had ankleissues anyways. The heel locks in nicely for me. My toes werenever a problem straight out of the box. Now ya all no y I got me 6 pair of them. The BIRD would have loved them.

I originally got these because I saw a video of Chris Staples dunking in them, so I figured if one of the best dunkers in the world wears them then they got to at least be decent. I dunked in them and got up a little higher than usual. Very bouncy feeling in the forefoot area. I mostly jump on concrete and did not experience any shocks from firm/ violent foot plants on my dunks. I was flying off one foot. I normally get a little pain in the tibialis area from hard foot plants on one foot jumps. Did not feel any pain from that jumping in these shoes. Don’t know about durability yet, haven’t had them long enough. And can’t say anything about actually hooping in them but my guest would be they are just fine. People need to understand shoes are not a magic pill for ... MoreI originally got these because I saw a video of Chris Staples dunking in them, so I figured if one of the best dunkers in the world wears them then they got to at least be decent. These shoes fit very well and are very comfortable to wear. I do not play basketball, but I bet they would be great shoes for playing basketball in. They feel very solid and supportive around the ankles. The shoe is comfortable for wearing as a daily wearer. I have been wearing these daily and they are very comfortable even while standing for long periods of time. The design is very nice. They are not overly flashy, which fits my style. The only issue these shoes have caused me is that I may have to get a pair for my high school son for basketball season, as he has been threatening to steal these from me.
These Nike KD TREY 5 IX Basketball Shoes are a new favorite. The black and white design is sleek and modern. The shoe is perfect for basketball practice and offers a lightweight feel. My husband said the ankle support was the best he's ever felt in a basketball shoe. It also offered superior arch support which made them very comfortable for all day wear. He loves the comfort of these shoes most of all and had no criticisms! Definitely a great basketball shoe for those looking for sturdy arch support.
I love how this shoe fits on my feet. It hugs my foot just enough so that I feel grounded, but isn’t too tight or restricting. It’s lightweight yet provides great cushioning and gives that extra bounce when jumping or pushing off quickly. Played for 3 hours and my feet weren’t sore and did not feel cramped. I haven’t used it on an indoor court, but the traction is great outdoors. I think the quality of the shoe is much better than other Nike basketball shoes, especially for the price, and it looks fantastic. This shoe is great to wear on and off the court and it’s comfortable enough to wear all day
Pros:– Arch support is specifically excellent and in this respect is superior to a lot of other generic shoes in this category– Size and fit is just right, according to size (for me, that's a 12)– Good tread and grip for everyday, all-around athletic shoe– Comfortable throughout the day– Very lightweight– Design of mine is medium height, black with white trim and Nike swoosh and a gray circle on the outside-facing side of each shoe. I love the crisp, casual/classy look, unlike a lot of mostly white athletic shoes that show dirt too soon, and certainly preferred to all the bright neon colored shoes begging for attentionCons:– Laces are the more traditional flat shape, and narrow, so they feel "thin" or wimpy, as if they might break sooner than round, thicker ... MorePros:– Arch support is specifically excellent and in this respect is superior to a lot of other generic shoes in this category– Size and fit is just right, according to size (for me, that's a 12)– Good tread and grip for everyday, all-around athletic shoe– Comfortable throughout the day– Very lightweight– Design of mine is medium height, black with white trim and Nike swoosh and a gray circle on the outside-facing side of each shoe. I don't know if that's actually true, but it gives me that impression.– Being lightweight and designed for daily athletics, their tread and materials are not really suited to hiking or other off-road type roaming activity. For example, they are great for biking or walking on the greenway, but if I take them a lot on nature trails that branch off of the greenway, they may not last well, and their appearance probably won't. Perhaps that's not a con, as that is not the design. Use them for what they work well for, which is quite a lot. Conclusion:I found these shoes to be excellent, as long as one takes into account that they are for everyday athletic activity. They are very light and comfortable, particularly having good arch support. And the design is crisp and clean, rather than busy or gaudy. I highly recommend them.
These are my first pair of KDs and they are extremely comfortable! I love the cushion from the Nike renew and Air zoom cushioning system. I have wide feet and these fit perfect for me. They required practically no break in period. They are very supportive and have excellent grip. I will only be wearing KDs for basketball moving forward.
These shoes look so good! I can definitely feel the support on and off the court. I love mid to high tops for the ankle support but sometimes they can be hard to get in and out of. The KD Trey 5 IX basketball shoes did not have that problem. I could slip these shoes on and off when I tied my shoes loose. Then when it’s go time and I tied them regular these shoes will not come off. The material is high quality and the design of this shoe is immaculate. I also had a weekend trip to Chicago and wore them all day. I have wider feet so normally I will try 10.5 or 11 these shoes(10.5) did pinch a little after a long day of walking in these shoes. I think if you go a half size up you will be fine because these shoes are comfortable. The shoes have really good traction on ... MoreThese shoes look so good! The shoes have really good traction on the court, and cement, but in some restaurants there is a thick cushion tiles I did not have as much traction. You might have to be a little more careful when walking around some restaurant. The black and white design is so cool and the textured design on the top really brings great contrast to the shoe. The best part of the design is the Nike swoosh is broken into 2 styles. I definitely recommend adding these to your collection!
