With its lightweight upper and plush support system, the KD Trey 5 X can help you float like KD, waiting for the perfect moment to drive to the hoop. A secure midfoot strap is suited for scoring binges and defensive stands, so that you can lock in and keep winning. Midfoot Support::The upper seems to float above the tooling and is held together by the midfoot strap to create a sort of hovering icon.

Have had these for couple of months now. On sale for $65 I had to take a chance. As an avid hooper 3-4 days a week, I would not recommend these if you’re looking for something long term. Durability is very poor, strap is not designed well, and lockdown feel is not there. If you have weak ankles, I’d stay away from this shoe. Moving on, traction is surprisingly really good even on dusty courts with minimal wiping. You also feel quick and springy when moving in them. Cushioning in the shoe is average but expect it to dwindle away after a few months of heavy use. I would recommend the shoe to lighter guards. Definitely use these on indoor courts only. They will get destroyed on outdoor courts. Hope this helps someone!

I needed a pair of basketball shoes last minute and bought the best sale shoes I could get at my local Dick’s store. I love the Velcro strap over the top of the laces. It reminds me of the Nike basketball shoes I had back in ‘96 with the velcro strap that went under the shoes and back over the top. These KDs were a great buy at $80.

The Nike KD Trey 5 shoes are one of the only shoes that fit my feet. The Signature KD shoes fit too narrow in the toes for me even when going a half size up. These shoes are plenty wide in the toe box and have good shape. They have good ankle support for being categorized as a Low (they fit more like a Mid) The Quality is pretty good for a budget Nike BB shoe, as I have put many hours and hard steps on the blacktop in them and nothing has worn out including the tread holding up well for being designed for hardwood floors only. My only minor complaints would be that the are not quite as cushy as the premium KD shoes, however the price difference is much more wallet friendly. The toe box is also fairly low profile so there isn't a lot of wiggle room top to bottom. And ... MoreThe Nike KD Trey 5 shoes are one of the only shoes that fit my feet. These shoes have great cushioning for indoor and outdoor courts. I think the colorway dope and for the price I was pleasantly surprised of the quality of the shoe overall! It was wide enough that my toes did not feel like they are cramped up in a shoe like other basketball shoes that I have had or tried on in the past. I hope this line of KD's stay true to this. Shotout to Hibbett for the fast delivery. I ordered and received them in less than 3 business days!
Perfect. A great buy. These shoes provide wonderful support and court traction and give me an extra spring when shooting those 3-pointers. Rebel packed and posted the shoes almost instantly. Highly recommend Rebel and shoes!
Son loves his new shoes! States it feels bouncier and lighter on the court. He has bad ankles and says these feel more supportive than his last pair of mids. He’s been wearing ankle braces but feels he can slowly wean down the level of stabilization of the type of brace with these shoes. Not sure about the durability yet. He also has outdoor court practices so we’ll see. We bought a second pair in a bigger size for when he grows out of these.
The picture vs. the actual product is very different in my opinion. The whole shoe is softer than you would think. I'm from back in the day of Jordan 3+, so this shoe does feel very mid to me, I like my basketball shoes to feel different that my running shoes. I'm sure this shoe could do serval duties; I guess I'm just old school and like a harder midsole, a less soft/flexy upper. But the shoe is pretty comfy. In the medical field, on my feet for 12+ hrs and these held up, I could feel the front zoom unit, though at this height, to me it's a gimmick, if anything it probably messages more than give you spring-back. The strap in real life is too gaudy too. If this came in a low-top, this would've been an out of the park smash in my opinion. This is an entry level KD
The strap over the top of the shoe is nice and makes the fit nice and tight. For me it is perfect cause i can't afford my foot to slide inside of the shoe during play. Some negatives about the shoe are:They are already getting discolored by the toe area. I've used them for competitive play less than 10 times. The Velcro on the side makes it hard to tie sometimes, cause the shoelace gets stuck on the Velcro so easyShoe ran big, cause the 9 fit my size 10 foot perfect
Purchased for my 13yr old son. He only wears them forBasketball, never outside. He likes these and the Kyrie style because he says the bottoms feel more sticky on the court. He has tried many different variations of Nike, Addidas, and Under Armor. So far the two mentioned are his favorites.
These are the most comfortable basketball shoes out there right now. The only thing I would say is to go up .5 in sizing. But otherwise, a very comfortable shoe with good cushioning and good ankle support. I am not sure if they are an indoor shoe or an outdoor shoe as I have not hooped in them yet. This is my 2nd pair. I owned the light grey with black/green/orange accents. The price for these was the lowest I have seen and they sell out pretty quickly. If you get a chance, get a pair, for casual wear, if not to hoop in. Again, I’d go up .5 in size if you wearing it casually, you’d probably be ok going TTS if you just want to hoop in them. If not here, try and get a pair elsewhere. You won’t be sorry!
