My 7 year old son was initially very excited about this shoe. The look of the shoe and the air pocket were very appealing to him. Due to the higher top and the need to tighten them for a comfortable wear my son only wears them as a last option. They are very difficult to get on and off. Once he is in them he loves how comfortable and supportive they are. As a larger kid he often complains about his feet by the end of the day, but these provide him the comfort and support for an all day wear.This shoe would be great for an older child or a child with more tenacity for putting on the shoe independently.

Highly recommend these shoes! They’re very cute and stylish. I’m actually looking for more color schemes because the kid loves them! She thinks I’m cool bcuz she got these for school lol! They’re unisex so it makes it easier to expand her color palette when shopping for school. She loves them, they fit wonderfully as her feet are slightly wide. No issues with width while wearing socks. You definitely cannot go wrong with these sneakers!

Comfortable shoe tho bulky & outdated.

After wearing my 1st pair of Nike Air Uptempos for a few weeks I’d love to share my thoughts! The air tempo is a favorite among kids & ball players alike. This shoes very well put together! From a quality standpoint, I believe it will be very difficult to find a shoe that will last longer than the Nike air uptempo. I wore the shoe to the gym 5 days a week for 2 weeks & on a brisk 5k walk 3x each week & the shoes durability is not in question. It seems that Nikes perfected the formula to keep shoes together longer over the past 50 years & this shoe reaches that standard. If you have an active kid who’s really hard on shoes, this is definitely a shoe you would want to consider.Luckily my son (seven) & I wear the same size so he too wore the shoe around the house on several occasions & he was a huge fan of not only the look, but also the comfort of the shoe. Prior to this shoe, his largest complaint with Nike shoes was always the time it took to break the shoe in. This shoe seemed made wider than most & that added another level of comfort that can’t be understated. I too, shared the same sentiment. I loved the way the shoe felt straight out of the box. There was no break in period and for that this will be a shoe I go to for him n the future.In review the Nike air uptempos a very straight forward basketball shoe, somewhat outdated & hard to wear for adults on a regular basis but an excellent shoe for childrens everyday wear. Very comfortable After u get past the weight & bulky appearance, this shoes Durablity scores a 10 & something I have no doubt will last the entire school year!

Love at first site!

I absolutely love my new uptempos! The color is neutral beige and white which pairs so nicely with many items of mine! Especially my new Nike tie die sweat pants that have the same beige in them. The comfort of this sneaker is amazing, they fit perfectly very true to size and feel like a cloud! The inside is soft and the sole is thick. I wore them all day for work on my feet and was very happy. My foot was not hot or hurting after being on my feet for 6+ hours. The style plus the comfort makes for an excellent sneaker. Stylish and supportive. There is nothing I would change about these shoes, the color combo ia great, the style, the comfort it’s all there!

Pippen Classics!

These shoes were for my 10 year old athletic daughter. I told her that these were a classic back when I was growing up. She hasn't stopped smiling ever since the box came in the mail! She opted for a loud color (battle blue) and they are even better looking in person! She mentioned that they fit just right and seem to be really durable with excellent grip on pavement! In fact these sneakers are built like tanks. Not the lightest shoe out there but the quality is definitely on point like an elbow! The comfort and style easily outweigh the only negative, which is the weight of the shoe. If you haven't picked up a staple of a shoe like this for you or your kid then what are you really doing? She's extremely satisfied with her "Awesome Airs" as she likes to call them!!

I have always loved the design of the Uptempo's since I can remember. I had the chicago pair many years back (2000-ish) and wore it til the soles separated. Since then, I wanted a new pair. This is my first pair since then and the feeling still remains the same. The build is still amazing. The big "AIR" logo covering that wraps around the medial and lateral sides of the shoes are timeless and beautiful to look at. The comfort to me is still one of the best even with all these new technology they add to the new basketball shoes. The traction is amazing for playing basketball (as it should be) and as a lifestyle shoe, these shoes can be worn all day without feeling any discomfort. The only issue if you can consider it an issue is the weight of the shoe. This is a classic, bulky basketball shoe of the 90's and just like the Barkley's, Jordan's, JKidd's, and the other Uptempo's of the time, it is larger and heavier than the basketball shoes of today. Sizing wise, these shoes fit me true to size and can even be a little big since there is just so much room and ability to loosen or tighten. I recommend going true to size or half size down if you have narrow feet. Overall, these shoes are still one of my all time favorite basketball shoes created and Pippen's all time greatest looking shoes. I just need to get the Chicago colorway again.

The AIR really shines

I got these shoes for my 10 yo son and he immediately loved the look of them. The big flashy AIR running along the side stands out and he thought they looked cool.They do have multiple large air units for all day comfort. He has said they are some of the most comfortable shoes he's had to this point. I went with a light color for most utilization but they do get dirty quick. Luckily so far there's been no breakage or damage just cosmetics.I would highly recommend these shoes for anyone and get come in crazy large amounts of color combinations as well.
