I recently bought these shoes and with hardly any breaking in feel unbelievably comfy. I am currently wearing them as I write this review. These look so much better in person then they do online. Some of the disadvantages may be that they are stiff on the top but with little breaking in feel just fine. I'd recommend buying these at a nearby Footlocker store because the size is kind of messed up. I am originally a size 7 but had to buy an 8 for the right feel. Besides that, great quality and pricing.

I never have played basketball in a set of Kobe's before but now I am a fan of them. The comfort level is high in these kicks and they perform well on the basketball court. Definitely a solid cop.

Great grip, feel, cushioning and the low cut. I feel fast playing in these. My only grip is the shoe lace is short and I wish I got a size bigger bc they are a bit narrow, but I have wide feet.

I bought these basketball sneakers for my 13yr old son. He loves them!!! They look better in person than then do on the website. I gave them a 4 star because when we received them there was a scratch on the front of the sneaker. I think if you pay a lot for sneakers footlocker should check the product before shipping them. Other than that... he can’t wait to wear them for basketball!
I never had the chance to purchase this color years back. Glad they brought it back and made some slight improvements, but full-length Zoom would have been awesome. Fit is snug as I remembered. Had to go half size up (from 11.5 to 12) in the OG Kobe 4s years back, and the same with this Protro. Materials seem the same. Price was a little too much, but glad I waited to get them on sale. Overall this is an awesome shoe for casual wear and/or hoops.
Just received this. Love the shoe. Very comfortable and great fit. Unfortunately the shoes were clearly not new. Parts of the snakeskin material on the heel tabs and other parts of the upper were clearly worn down. A lot of creasing had already occurred. Not disappointed with the shoe. Just disappointed in Footlocker for allowing this to be returned and then rebought at full market value. I recommend the product, just not the service.
Great basketball shoes. I had these when they originally came out years back. Since then Nike has upgraded the technology and these are the best basketball shoes I've ever purchased. Comfortable, lightweight and mold well to your foot.
Among hoop shoes it is no stretch to say that the Kobe Line is regarded as the most consistent on the market. You just know what you are going to get year over year. The Kobe 4 is iconic and gives you amazing traction and lock-down, all the while in some pretty nice colorways. If I had one gripe it would be the cushion; its by no means uncomfortable but I do find myself having to add a thicker insole( The Kobe 10 one is ideal) to make these really nice. The regular ortha-lite insole that comes in these is pretty thin. I believe had Nike have gone with a full length Kushlon/zoom air set up, it would have turned these into a perfect protro. They are nice don't get me wrong and they are deep in my rotation...I think that was just the missing element.
Terrible ripped after wearing one time! Too expensive to be doing that after playing in them once and doing that! Unacceptable and disappointing!
Glad they retroed the Kobe IV because I didn't get them the first time around and always regretted it. Still a very comfortable shoe despite no full length zoom even by today's standard for basketball shoes. I would definitely recommend trying them on before purchasing for sizing because they do run narrow in the toe box so wide footers may have to 1/2 size up.
