I bought these shoes for my teenage son, who has been growing like a weed. I was reluctant to pay a large amount on name brand shoes, when he'd just outgrow them in a couple of months. I saw this awesome deal on Deal News, and boom - sold. $35 for Nike shoes with free delivery was pretty exciting for me. Delivery was super quick; I think it was only 2-3 days. He loves them - and my wallet loves them lol. I just wish they'd had more color/size options. At the time of our purchase there were only 3 choices in size 7.5. Still, we are very satisfied and will definitely check Academy next time we go shoe hunting.

I love these down shifter 6 shoes. I own 4 pairs of various color combinations. Imo these are the best deal on Nike shoes out there. For under 40 bucks these are comfortable and a great looking shoe. Why pay $100 for 1 pair of shoes when you can get almost 3 pair of downshifter 6s. One thing i recommend is buy 1/2 size bigger because rite behind your toes they fit a little snug. Over all they are just a great deal and good looking shoe. I will buy more definitely soon as they come out with another color scheme I like. I love ordering from acadamy also.every order I place is easy and always arrives on time or earlier. Can't beat there free shipping either. Definitely will be placing more orders with academy in the future.

I've read all the other comments and I'm surprised at the low ratings. My son has very wide feet & normally Nike is not the brand for him, but these the Kyrie 5's fit perfectly. Compared to some of the other shoes out there, they are slightly heavier, but the Kyries are more durable than all of them. The Lebrons, Kobes, KDs, etc.; all of them were done after 2 months. My son is still wearing them.

I bought these shoes for my daughter about two weeks ago. I read a lot of reviews and sized up based on the reports of a narrow foot bed. The shoe was difficult to donn despite sizing up. They are heavy also. The complained of the tongue bothering me. The shoes look amazing and she loves the show Friends. She wore them to two practices and said that she couldn’t wear them any longer.
Bought this pair of shoes around Christmas. Love its quality and design, as well as Academy's price and service. It feels a bit narrower to me (like a lot of the newer Nike shoes) but most other reviewers say it is true to width. So my advice go wide ONLY if newer Nike(s) (especially the 'free' serious) are narrow to you. I am wearing it for shorter runs for now, hopefully it will expand a little over time.Support it solid. Traction is good (average+ at the moment, but it will take a few runs for the sole to creak in.It is a great pair of shoes for its price point.
We shopped the whole mall, all the sport shoe places. None had the larger size we required. Dicks had the size we needed at a lower price. Not a big Dick’s fan since they no longer offer firearms and accessories, in fact went there on a whim. Salesman was pleasant and knowledgeable. Pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. Will use again
Im not sure if they were poorly designed or they came with a factory defect, the soles are completely unbalanced, lower on the heel, higher on the front-outer side, wich pushes the ankles towards each other, like, to the inner side. Very unconfortable, I only wore them once and caused me a light injurie in my left ankle, pain in my right ankle, heels, and knees. I regret so bad have bought this item.
I received this shoe as a gift for Father's Day and I play only 2-3x per week indoors and out. I went up a size as recommended by the salesperson. But after just one game I found that although the shoe was pretty light weight it didn't give enough support for my arch and they were very narrow and pointed making them painful. I have a normal "D" width size foot and they are definitely not that size. Overall design exterior looks great but the shoe is a poor performer because the fit is far too narrow.
Just received these for my son and we are the same size ( I am 9.5W he is 8M) and he could NOT get his foot inside and I was not sure what this issue was so I tried and these run small! But I think they are also for thin feet. So keep this in mind. Also we received the display model and the one shoe was dirty and these are the white ones. I am not happy paying this price for dirty shoes. Overall I do not know if these are comfortable shoes since neither one of us could get these on. there are other kids on the basketball team who have these shoes...they are smaller, thinner footer kids. I should have realized.
I have worn Nike for 20+ years and have always paid a premium for their shoes for their superior fit and performance. The Downshifter 6 Running Shoe has the Nike logo but does not live up to its name. It runs narrow, has no arch support and no removable insoles and is very uncomfortable. The quality of this shoe is what you would expect from a cheap generic shoe at a discount store and so with a MSRP of $60 and discounted to ~$40 you are not getting a bargain but instead overpaying for a very poor quality shoe. As I found out with this purchase, if you want a real Nike running shoe that lives up to the name in 2016 you will need to spend >$90.
