This shoe took some getting used to. The first few days I was only walking my dog with them, and they felt clunky and stiff. Today I decided to try a jog with them, and they seem to be more suited to that... especially when I went off road onto a rocky trail. They were perfect for that, and the protruding soles (which I did not like walking) gave me extra stability on the uneven terrain.

The AirMax 270 React ENG has more lace holders and better padding in the forefoot than the other AirMax 270 React series shoes. The additional lace holes allows the shoe to hold my forefoot in place. Especially in downhill situations.
This shoe took some getting used to. The first few days I was only walking my dog with them, and they felt clunky and stiff. Today I decided to try a jog with them, and they seem to be more suited to that... especially when I went off road onto a rocky trail. They were perfect for that, and the protruding soles (which I did not like walking) gave me extra stability on the uneven terrain.
The stiffer air midsole in the heel and more cushiony react midsole in the forefoot is a unique combination. Perhaps because of that, the heel to forefoot offset is noticeable i.e. your heel feels noticeably higher than the forefoot. The walking transition from heel to forefoot felt a little weird for me at first, but I got used to it. And as you can see, other reviewers seem to love the comfort of the midsole. The upper is stiffer than expected, but supportive and comfortable. The toe box is slightly narrower than other Nikes (compared to Pegasus 37 and React Infinity Flyknit as examples). This look fantastic, and are relatively comfortable. The biggest problem is the material the toe area is made from. It’s like plastic, so when it bends it has no “give” and makes a cracking noise, which is very annoying. The original 270’s are slot better
I love the colorway and design when I chanced upon it. I would say this colorway is rare as I don’t see it in the retail shops in my country. It tends to arch down a little because of its aerodynamic design. Hence, it maybe advisable to buy 1/2 a size larger.
Bought these for my boyfriend for Christmas and about 2/3 wears later the Nike swoosh tick on the inner part of the runner started to peel, I emailed twice since to complain and see if anything could be done but ASOS still haven’t replied to me, not happy!! The runners are so nice it’s a shame about this though
I normally wear Nike size 10, but these would fit me better if they were 10.5 or even 11. The style is out of this world awesome and should be five stars alone, but I am sending these back. I bought these to use for taking a 2-mile run after lifting weights, but these shoes are wrong for running. The footbed encourages heel-strikes and the cushioning on the front half of the shoe sole is not conducive to proper running form. The does did alright supporting me during weight training, but they were not special enough to keep for this price.
This is my second pair of Air Max 270 React ENG shoes, so I am sold on them. They look awesome and they provide enough shock absorbing power that I can walk as long as I want without knee and calf pain. I have gotten rid of my other sneakers because the Air Max 270 React ENG and Vapor Max Plus sneakers have really helped me to walk without pain,
Not the most comfortable airmax. React foam makes the front of the shoe soft and the airmax bubble makes the back of the shoe firm. Takes some time to get used to but the design outways this complaint 10fold.
