I had been looking for training shoes for a good amount of time, but nothing seemed to be a good fit until the Metcon 4s. After wearing running shoes to do all my non-running training, the stability the Metcons brought to my jump roping and weight training was much better than what I was used to. I started wearing them daily, and they were not only comfortable for training sessions, they were also perfect for driving long distances, and doing normal chores. I would not recommend for long walking distances however as the cushioning isn’t as good as a traditional running shoe, but other than that they can handle most things. Pros - the shoe is extremely comfortable and cut well to the shape of my foot. It is the only shoe that fits my wide mid foot (flat feet). The midsole offers perfect balance of cushioning for cross training and lifting and even short runs, without being too soft. Stability is excellent with the wide heel outsole and great for heavy barbell lifts.Improvements needed - main ask is that you build the medial mid foot outsole support to have floor contact like the rest of the outsole. It’s the only part that doesn’t touch the ground and became a dealbreaker as it causes over pronation due to no support of medial mid foot / arches. Other suggestions - the upper could be more spacious and lighter. This version also holds up for everything in the gym while providing solid support on the sides, a little heel lift (nice for squats), and a hard surface to push from. Also comfortable for wearing around casually (opposed to standard Metcon or lifting shoe which is just too flat/hard for casually wear IMO). Can do shorter runs but recommend a real runner (like my pegs for this) for anything more than a mile or two. Hope Nike keeps going with the cross between Metcon and Free, I will keep buying and recommending! These are the best shoes for training. PERIOD. I love these more than the metcon 8. They fit well and perform incredibly when strength training, hiit and full on cardio. I can even sprint in these and they grip well and move well with my foot. It's true to size. You'll need a shoe horn to get in these babies though. I hope Nike keeps this one around and not change the look too much. These are just IT. ILL ALWAYS HAVE THESE!
It’s been a while since I brought a pair of sneakers to work out in. I was hesitant on because I really loved my others, plus I am picky, my foot is narrow and I have a hard time purchasing a sneakers to work out in that are comfortable and fashionable. Well, I finally did it and these did notdisappoint. They are light, comfortable and stylish. I love them. It’s a must… I amgoing to order an additional color way.
Light weight, comfortable. Heel Stable, Great lateral movement qualities. So I weigh 95kg and I didn’t feel these would hold up well but this shoe is surprisingly good for cross-fit wear. I’ve even used it for mixed netball social comps and table tennis club comps. Wear it out and about as a sporty fashion look. Cushioning stays true. Stability is there. I just liked the look but training performance came as bonus. Few things you can’t rely on this for is long distance running and certain heavy/consistent squatting exercises (xfit training). That’s where the 6’s come in. Felt the shoe was shifting the weight to the forefoot instead of staying centred. Good shoe

I've never had a shoe quite like this one. I find it to be a very attractive pair of shoes, with a good neutral color scheme. The mesh top, with re-enforced coating on the exterior toe, is both good looking and functional.The opening of the shoe is most notable, and a mixed bag. It is a fixed opening with minimal stretch. The back NIKE branded band on the back of the shoe is actually an elastic band that is pushing towards the inside of the shoe. The result is some effort to get your foot in the shoe, but then a very firm fit once seated properly. It doesn't even feel like laces are necessary!It is a pleasure to walk, run and just live in this shoe. Love it!
