This shoe is really good. In other shoes she gets some pain in foot and toe after like a month, which she never has in this shoe. Its sole is excellent But it is not long lasting as I have seen. It is wore by my 14 year old. But its sole gets damaged in 3-4 months of playing tennis. She only wears it on tennis courts no where else.

My favorite shoe! Built to last and plays to perform. This shoe fits snug and gives you support so you can excel on the court. You feel ready to attack a move with speed and control. They don't feel like just another shoe. I bought the vapor 11 and they fo not compare. They feel flat and less support. They are made well but you may burn through the toe area fast. You won't burn through the toe in the Cage 4 Rafa. They work for me. I have an average foot with no specific needs. These are my match time shoes.

Very comfortable shoes. Fantastic support and they felt snug out of the box. However these tear up pretty fast. I play 3-4 times per week and these lasted me 4 months. Thought I could get 6 months out of these shoes but their durability was not what I was expecting.

I am a female. I have been wearing Nike Cage shoes until they stopped carrying women version. Then RAFA shoes came out and i started buying men’s version. I wear a 9-9.5 for women but in men’s shoes size I am an 8. I just got this Australian Open 2023 inspired color. I play about 2-3 times a week and these shoes last me for about 1 year. Very comfortable and so happy that Nike put Rafa name on the shoes. :)
I have been wearing Yonex Eclipsion and Asics Gel Resolution shoes for the past few years (size 91/2 in both shoes), takes about 3-5 months to purchase new shoes because I wear out the right toe play about 3X a week. Love both of these shoes.Purchased these because they looked good (like the color and visual style), Nike usually has good quality, had good reviews on this site and wear guarantee. Compelled to warn potential purchasers, these were the worst shoes I have ever tried no exaggeration, ever. The material felt like cheap plastic, trying to get my foot into the shoe was an exercise in futility ( I have narrow feet have never encountered this before), The offset tongue configuration causes the tongue to roll up when you put on the shoe and you must pry it ... MoreI have been wearing Yonex Eclipsion and Asics Gel Resolution shoes for the past few years (size 91/2 in both shoes), takes about 3-5 months to purchase new shoes because I wear out the right toe play about 3X a week. Once I got them on my feet they were uncomfortable to the point where I felt there is no possible way I could play tennis in this shoe, it felt like the shoe lacked support and was tight. A lot of review on this site have been positive, could be me or my feet, buyer beware.
-Comfortable and superbly cushioned-Abrasion protection is adequate and in the right spots-Integrated tongue conforms to the foot due to well placed elastic complement-Rear outsole design attenuates landing-Sacrifices weight for padding-This is a tennis specific shoe, do not expect comfort for walking or any other activity-Good lateral stability-Resist abrasion better than any of the other tennis specific shoes-Rec play durability: 6+ months. Highly skilled play durability: 4+ weeks
What initially attracted me to Zoom Cage shoes was the 6-month outsole guarantee. I used to wear out some other shoes in a month or so, and I'm not that rich :-) Zoom Cage gives me about 4 month of play. And I weigh around 190lbs and play pretty much every day. So I assume a lighter person who plays a two-three times a week will get a lot more out of them.No other shoes I tried (adidas Barricade being the latest attempt) last as long. Barricades lasted about a month less. They also mention 6-month guarantee on their site, but they backed out of it when I submitted a claim (simply said this guarantee doesn't exist, although their website says otherwise!). Had no problems with Nike. Got my fresh pair of shoes a couple of times when I managed to wear them out in six ... MoreWhat initially attracted me to Zoom Cage shoes was the 6-month outsole guarantee. I still rank them among the most comfortable shoes I tried.I had a couple of pairs of Zoom Cage 3, now went through 4 or 5 pairs of Zoom Cage 4. And I plan to come back for more.
Great, durable shoe; I wear on HarTru, Hardcourts, and for Platform Tennis. Sock-like fit is a bit awkward to get on at first, but it keeps toes snug without jamming in the toebox even on unforgiving Platform Tennis courts and while sliding on HarTru. I just wish they had more color options.
I find the Nike Zoom Vapor Cage 4 in the Black Volt color very appealing. However, during the first sessions the shoe felt extremely rigid, heavy and inflexible, in fact, it made me think that I was wearing a pair of trekking boots. After a couple of sessions it has changed though, but I do not feel the same type of break-in as I do with running shoes. The sock like design is ok, but its thick and makes the shoe extremely warm. The foot was locked in, although I have to tighten the lacers firmly to avoid any heel-slip. The vapor cage 4 runs rather big. I have a neutral foot and would normally opt for a size US 11 in Nike running shoes, however, I got this in size US 10 1/2 and still it feels a little big, I can actually wear insoles in these shoes with no issues. ... MoreI find the Nike Zoom Vapor Cage 4 in the Black Volt color very appealing. I have a neutral foot and would normally opt for a size US 11 in Nike running shoes, however, I got this in size US 10 1/2 and still it feels a little big, I can actually wear insoles in these shoes with no issues. This is why I would recommend sizing down 1/2 size if you have a neutral or narrow foot. Although the shoe looks small on the outside, it actually feels big, but yet again a bit narrow. I did feel that my foot was "sliding" inside once in a while on the court, but not an issue. This shoe is being praised for cushioning, however, I do not not feel that the show is that comfortable and I find the use of materials and thickness rather exaggerated. When it comes to durability these shoes are certainly going to last, but still I find that the shoe could be stripped from materials while maintaining the same durability while making it lighter and more flexible. During a tournament with several matches, or between training, I would only use the shoes while on the court. The shoe is extremely warm, in particularly in warmer climates, +25 C., I would actually recommend wearing slippers when not playing on the court. Overall the shoe looks appealing and for sure it finds great popularity, but personally I prefer something lighter, with a more forgiving and flexible fit that can speed me up and make me jump a little higher on the court. I might opt for a Nike vapor pro next time or as a replacement.
I talked myself down from buying a proper tennis shoe for a long time. I reasoned that I have plenty of "athletic" shoes and am not a "competitive" player. I wish I hadn't. These feel so much better on the court and will be much more durable. I wear a size 12 in most shoes, but I feel like I could have gotten away with an 11.5 in these. If you like a "snugger" fit, that is something to consider.
