A great all around shoe

The Vomero 17 was a really great experience. The zoomX midsole and removal of the air unit provided a really great feeling.I used the shoe for a multitude of runs ranging from speed work to easy runs. The shoe performed really well for all of these. The 10mm drop/more aggressive rockered midsole provided an ease in the stride regardless of paces.I also used the shoe on a variety of surfaces ranging from road to track to compact gravel/ soft surfaces. A great “work-horse” shoe!

Backstory: I’ve always hated running mainly due to not knowing HOW to run. I’ve learned develop me run form as I have decided to train and run a half marathon. The previous shoe I had were the Infinity React Flyknit 3, which to me felt l hard. The Vomero 17 is are soft, but not too soft, as I run mid-foot. They very feel lighter than the Reacts and more responsive.I would recommend the Vomero 17s to those who are looking for a daily trainer for running as it feels it can do it all. I feel great doing tempo runs as well as putting long recovery miles on them. The ZoomX foam is great!

Amazing, amazing daily trainer. Last year, my daily trainers were the Vomero 16. It was an OK shoe. I ran those into the ground and then got the Pegasus Turbos which were not great at all, then I got injured so took some time off of running. I picked up a pair of the Vomero 17s in February and they are BY FAR the BEST daily trainer I have ever used in my 2.5 years of running. They can get a bit hot now that the weather's warming up, but it isn't too bad (not as bad as the Vomero 16). They look amazing, are incredibly durable, and have a great outsole that grips and lasts. I have about 180 km (113 mi) on them so far and the outsole looks almost new. Can't recommend enough!

Bring back the Tempos. Vomeros are very warm and unresponsive but comfortable for slow pace.
19 February 2024

Bought these because I got tired of waiting for the nike air zoom tempo next% flyknit to be restocked. Have run multiple 7, 9, and 20 mile runs at the same pace as with the tempos and really prefer the Tempos over the Vomeros. The Vomero is a much hotter shoe on my feet. I have only been running in below 40 degrees so not sure I'm going to use them when it gets warmer outside. The collar is soaked in my sweat for long after I take them off. They feel much less springy than the Tempos and heavier but feel more cushioned. My legs were much more sore after runs in the Vomeros vs Tempos. Very little soreness after running in the Tempos vs Vomeros had my feet still hurting the next day. Tight toe box had my toes bleeding.Best parts about the shoe: attractive design / ... MoreBought these because I got tired of waiting for the nike air zoom tempo next% flyknit to be restocked. The Nike Vomero 17 are awesome! Great for a run or just everyday wear. These are very comfortable, for example. I wore basketball shoes for 8 hours popped on the Vomero 17 right after and immediately felt like I was wearing slippers. These have a very forgiving sole with the Zoomx taking road impact well. The footbed is also very contouring and comfortable. No soreness afterwards and the breathable mesh is terrific. I will definitely revisit the Vomero line in the future!

Great Daily Trainer
29 November 2023

I just purchased these shoes the other day at my local running store and have put around 25 miles into them. I am coming from the Pegasus 39 that I purchased in June 2022 I believe. These shoes feel amazing and bouncy in all the right ways. The ZoomX technology incorporated into the shoe feels great, and I enjoy using these as a daily trainer. $160 does feel a little steep, however, but I do believe that the performance of this shoe somewhat justifies the price of it. I suppose my only complaint is that they are just a tad bit snug on the sides, I wear a 9.5/10 in running shoes (Somewhat dependent on the brand and style of shoe itself) and these are slightly narrower. Not a problem though, they still feel great.

Nike Vomero 17
11 October 2023

The Nike Vomero 17 is a stylish and comfortable casual running shoe which could double as an everyday sneaker if you’re on the go or don’t like to coordinate your outfit to every shoe.Immediately upon slipping your foot into the shoe, you can feel the cushion and high responsiveness in the heel. There’s a clear sense of added padding, and the compression/spring in every step. Further the width of the shoes in the midfoot and toes provides ample space and comfort for longer runs and wear. For me personally, the added cushion is great for walking around, but I do not prefer it so much during my runs. The material is also very breathable, and given the black/volt/grey design, I don’t worry too much about them getting noticeably dirty. Soft and cushioned well
26 July 2024

Let me start by saying that I only use this shoe for walking and light gym workouts. Overall, I am happy with the shoe. It provides a great amount of cushion. The heel is significantly softer than the previous model, so that could turn off some people. Compared to the Vomero 16, I actually prefer the 16 because it feels more stable.Again, I don’t run in these shoes, so I could not provide a fair assessment as a true running shoe. But I am overall happy with its fit and comfort.

Super Comfy for work
12 October 2023

Wanted to get a pair of shoes that I could wear when working since I’m typically on my feet for 8-12 hours a day and on pavement as I’m in sales. The Vomero was perfect for that. They provided great cushioning and support for those long days when I spend going back and forth assisting different customers and I’m glad I made the choice to try these. I’ve tried other Nike runners in the past for work and been satisfied but I would definitely put these as my number 1 go to silhouettes from this point forward! The foam sole is a little weirdly shaped and it took me a few days to get familiar with its shape so I’d change that if I could but other than that these are GREAT! 8.5/10 I would DEFINITELY recommend these to any and everyone who spends lots of time on their feet!

Vomero 17s

I don't consider myself a sneakerhead, but I often wear tennis shoes for fashion. I feel like the shoes complete the look. The Vomero's would never qualify for that vibe.I'm not sure how to describe it. I know there is a lane for these shoes on the market, but I'm not a part of that community. These shoes just aren't cute. These are the male version, which is fine, but even for guys the color palette is so boring. I do like that the neon check tried to bring some pop to it. Even taking that into account, these are dad shoes. These shoes scream semi-active male, 30-50, looking to go on a quick errand. For functionality, this is by all means a great shoe, but the design needs work. Fit was comfortable, but it can't just be comfy. I gotta say that I hate the look of that outer foam sole. It's just so much. My mind rationalizes that it probably serves a purpose when running on tread, but it's still not cute. In today's day and age, I wanna look good WHILE I work out. I mean, if I make it out of the house to go to the gym, I feel that society pressure to be cute. Let's be honest, there are probably more cameras inside the gym than most places. I'm already gonna be sweaty, at minimum my outfit can be fresh. Gymtimidation is real and these sneaks don't help.I think these shoes would have benefited from having that lower band where is says zoom, stay flat around the perimeter and maybe hide the foam in the interior of the shoe.
