These shoes are not designed for any kind of running. These shoes restrict your gait when performing any kind of sprinting during HIT. They are very wide fitting shoes and not the normal NIKE size fitting. I can only use these shoes for weight training.I have to avoid the treadmills, step machines or any workout that requires a running/stepping action.Would never recommend or buy/ these again. ONLY okay for weight lifters.A very expensive mistake on my part. The description was very vague on the specific use of these trainers. Shame on you Nike!

Hands down these are the best trainers I've ever worn. These sneakers are a surprise. I thought the length would be a problem as they look smaller than my usual size out the box, but when I put them on for training today the fit was amazing with superb lockdown. The plastic heel cup provided me great support during squats and there was no lateral wobbling or tipping during leg intervals. The midsole for me, featuring React foam, was a sure surprise. I felt it most in the forefoot of the shoe and the responsiveness or bouncy feeling is awesome during cardio intervals. The lockdown, featuring the flywire cables and lateral support, to me make this shoe one of the best trainers on the market for your money. The rest was up to me.I train everyday and after testing this shoe I can honestly say this is definitely a shoe for anyone who does strength training, crossfit, and HIIT in the same day or every other day. It can handle anything.

I bought these Nike Metcon 7's about a month ago to replace my old shoes. Getting back to a workout routine, I needed shoes that would provide stability, yet provide comfort at the same time. These shoes did just that! I noticed a significant difference in that the shoes provided the support I needed when doing squats, allowing me to focus on my form instead of worrying about my feet moving around. These shoes are so great, I got myself another pair in a different color. Highly recommend these!

Love this combo of colours (green, purple, black & zebra stripe patterning) and it doesn't show up dirt unlike lighter colours. The laces have improved considerable from previous Metcons. The velcro tab helps the laces to stay tied by limiting movement like you might get when running,or jumping (i.e. box jumps & double unders).Good grip & excellent heel support. They feel lighter than previous Metcons & breathe well.Go the half sizes if a you've got a wider foot for better arch support,I wear this at work now as I stand almost all day & my feet don't hurt.I have found the metcon 8s better for longer distance running but the 7s a better all round shoe
Excellent cross trainer. The fit, stability and grip of these shoes is undeniable. It's like having a proper performance tire on your Corvette, you will feel more secure, stable and confident in your fitness activities. Shoes are an important tool in the arsenal of an athelete or trainer and you will feel the difference.
I absolutely love my Metcon 7's. I have the Mat Fraser Special Editions (bought them first) and they are Amazing! my favorite training shoe by far compared to the past Metcon's or Nanos. But this particular shoe, the Member Exclusive Light Bone/Gum Medium Brown/Sail/ Multi-Color Style: DH2727-091 (I have heard it is supposed to be produced with recycled materials) have failed terribly. After owning them for 10 days (about 5-6 good workouts) the right shoe just started to fall apart. The shoe was amazing and felt really good. I loved working out in them until I noticed something under my foot and when I looked, it was the rubber coming unglued from the sole of the shoe and had rolled back. Then under further inspection i could see multiple places where the glue wasn't holding up. I thought maybe I had just one bad shoe until a friend of mine who has the exact same pair was having the exact same issue. We have 5 different pairs of Metcon 7's between the two of us and this model is the only one that is not staying together. I love this color way and Struggle with returning them as I know I will never be able to get a new pair since they are out of stock everywhere... Wish I could just send them in for repair...However, I would still recommend any of the other Metcon 7 models with a 5 star rating.
I’ve been wearing these shoes for CrossFit for about 8 months now and I love them for everything but running.I’ve tried all the “CrossFit” shoes and by far Metcons are the best for me - the fit, the stability, and the versatility are excellent. Mine have also held up extremely well. I had a defect with the first pair after wearing them a few weeks and Nike replaced them no muss no fuss. The replacements still look new.The only drawback for me is the heel clip - it’s a rigid plastic that extends quite a ways into the shoes and it makes running in them awful. Not a big deal for short duration runs but if I see anything more than a couple of 200m runs on the board i’ll wear different shoes.
Was a little worried when I received my order. Opened the outer plastic and seen that the shoe box was crushed. Prayed the shoes were ok (didn’t want to deal with return process), shoes were good and I am pleased. These are my 2nd pair of Metcons, my first being the 8’s. So, I’m working my way backwards in comparison. First thing I noticed was shoe was a bit softer and more round at the toe box. I love the “Enigma” colorway which reminds me of the ocean waves. I primarily wanted these for jumping rope and days at the gym.
So far so good. Bought these to replace old runners I had been using in the gym which were falling apart and sub-optimal for doing any weight lifting (lack of stability and high stack height). Firstly, these look amazing and will turn heads! Secondly, they feel really durable, flat and stable. They are quite wide and fit well, so not a slim shoe. Great for things like squats, deadlifts and lunges. Also light enough for skipping, HIIT and bodyweight exercises. Only thing I wouldn't recommend them for is running as they are very flat so think carefully about this if you're buying these for both gym and runs.
These are the best Metcon yet! The new rope wrap compared to the previous is miles above previous Metcon 6 and the lace lock helped immensely with keeping my shoes tied while locking in on rope climbs and double unders. Where my Metcon 6s would come untied after every couple rope climbs and I’d need to stop and re tie the laces, the lace lock helped me concentrate on my workout instead of my shoes - a HUGE plus! What feels like a slightly reduced amount of cushion (which I prefer) compared to the 6s and the addition of the fly lace system, these really make these feel like my feet are locked into these when it’s go time. I’ve owned all Metcon versions since the Metcon 4 and it seems like they just get better every time. 10/10 would recommend 👍
