Lighter fabric will definitely break down sooner than heavier materials but that’s totally ok in this case because I’m not taking these shoes to a construction zone. I went running after rain with no issues. My favorite part about this shoe is how comfortable it is. I wore these on long runs and also hanging out all day with my kids. They were super comfortable to wear all day long. The design of the shoe is very cool. I like that it says Air Zoom and Pegasus 40 in tiny letters on it, so I always remember what shoe this is. What I would change about the shoe is that feels like it may run a bit warm. It has been great for wearing in winter and spring, but I live in North Carolina so prefer a very light and breathable upper in the hot summer.

The superb springiness is one of the things I love about the Pegasus line, and these don't dissapoint! They also feel lighter than my 38s, which could also contribute to the improved bounce I'm feeling.It didn't take me long to realize that these could absolutely be trusted for a real run right away, so I hit the proverbial pavement. This particular route took me over asphalt, packed dirt, sidewalk, and a brief cut through a bit of fine gravel. Not surprisingly, the Air Zoom Pegasus 40s performed great in all these conditions. Excellent grip, perfect flex in the heel to toe transition, and an all around great run.Asthetically, I think it is a good looking shoe that I am comfortable wearing in a variety of settings. I also love the layered waffle pattern on the top, that extra breathability will definitely make these comfortable to wear even in the summer where triple digits temps are the norm in my area. All in all, an outstanding running shoe that ticks all my boxes!!

The 40 wide fits perfectly with a balance of lateral stability and a locked down feel.The cushioning is also excellent with air zoom technology. You can definitely feel a difference with the extra bounce in your stride.I like how there are a number of designs ranging from subtle everyday colors to bright vibrant colors. I chose black for its versatility when I’m not on the trail.In terms of sizing, the regular Pegasus typically has a tighter snug fit.
