After probably a dozen pairs of Nikes over the last several years, I have a sense of the variance in sizing. I'd say these run slightly large, which is perfect since the conditions they'd be worn in would tend toward colder temperatures; running a little large allows wearing light hiking or wool socks. As a heel striker I'm very happy with the amount of cushioning in the heel. The tread pattern is grippy but has enough spacing between the lugs to shed mud. They remind me of the Salomon Speedcross, but the lugs of the Nikes are broader, so should hopefully last longer. The thick soft sole makes a rock plate superfluous. I received these shoes for my fiancé to try out. He wears size 10.5 and that is also the size we received and they fit him perfectly. He does not have wide feet, so if you have wide feet I recommend sizing up a half size or the wide variety. He also said they are pretty comfortable and they feel durable. He hasn’t worn them outside of the house yet since it’s been very rainy recently, but he has worn them around the house just fine. He really loves that these shoes are waterproof and he also likes the creative design of these. They’re not too flashy, but they are far away from being boring which suits him well. I could easily see these working well as trail/off road shoes since they’re waterproof and have good traction. Fire, good job, Nike. I bought hundreds of sneakers without leaving a review, but the Nike Pegasus 3 Gore-Tex is the first sneaker I am reviewing. Size, I would go half a size bigger. I usually wear 11, and 11.5 are perfect.The React form sole is soft and stable. I can stand in them all day and still wear them for my HIIT workout in the evening.The colorway and design are fire. I have gotten tons of compliments from sneakerheads and females.I haven't worn them in the rain or snow yet, but these are my go-to sneakers, and I am confident they will hold up. Spoiler alert, stop reading now. The sticker that came with it is cool and a nice surprise.

Like the title says these are nearly as comfortable as the normal Peg Trail 3 - these are slightly heavier and the sock in Achilles area is less padded and thus makes the Gortex Version more functional for protection of dirt and grime than comfort. The color way is all black and has reflective gray/black accents on this Gortex Version and looks very cool- I love it- I would recommend this shoe if you need a semi water proof sneaker for off road hiking and running. I personally use them for all my daily routine rotation.... I will say its slightly snug at one half size up from standard size- width wise they are somewhat snug but they do stretch nicely while still holding foot with good stability support. They're comfortable and light despite having aggressive lugs and outsole for good grip. I have been trail running for years and hate it when my feet get wet. Especially when it's cold outside! These keep the feet warm and prevent water from seeping in. Nike even thought of little flexible prices of fabric so that there is a barrier all around the ankle to be a splash guard. I've always been worried that shoes like this would feel clunky or get too hot, but they still breath very well. I give these trail running shoes a 5 star rating because they fit perfectly on my feet and are extremely comfortable. The Gore-Tex material has kept my feet dry during rainy day runs. The shoes are great for off road and on road running. I have lower back issues and I found the Nike Pegasus Trail 3 shoes to be the best for me. I also noticed my feet do not get cold when running in cool weather. I can only attest to my feet not getting cold at temperatures as low as 32 degrees at this time of this review. The gaiter has kept water from getting into my socks and has kept my feet dry during runs in the rain. I highly recommend the Pegasus Trail 3 Gore-Tex running shoes.
I'm a person that finds something that works and sticks with it like glue. Currently, I have 4 pairs of these shoes.To me, the Nike Wildhorse 4 GTX is the greatest nike outdoor shoe ever. I had/have 3 pairs of Wildhorse GTX's. The WH 4's are tough, comfortable, have a full length rock plate, aggressive outsole tread, rip/wear resistant, and lock your foot in.To me, the pegasus trail 3 GTX are the updated, lighter version of the old Wildhorse. I've found the pegasus are also tough and wear resistant, just not to the extent of the WH. The Pegasus have a softer foot feel or more cushion, which makes them better imo for casual walking or light duty stuff. I think we can all agree it’s very difficult to find a good quality shoe that fits all four seasons. My search is finally over as this Nike running shoe fits all my criteria’s. Being that we live in the northern Michigan area we get slammed with all sorts of weather. During the winter months I still enjoy hitting the trails for a run, hike or walk. These are perfect for all the elements as they are waterproof. My only downside although the breathable material can be very nice for warmer days they tend to be just a little chilly on a 30 degree day. Although these shoes may not be specifically designed for a snow running shoe they definitely do the job as it is hard to find something that isn’t so bulky for the winter months. Whether the weather I have to give these shoes 5 stars as they are extremely comfortable, durable, waterproof, eye appealing and not to heavy of a shoe making it awesome for hitting the trails. Would I recommend these to an avid trail runner, most definitely and they would be delighted to hit the trails with them as much I currently am.
These shoes are awesome! I am a hiker and was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable these were. I have a very high arch so it is a hit and miss for me. These had wonderful support, and they were incredibly light.I was able to wear them on a hike in the Gorge on a fairly wet day and my feet remained dry, thanks to the Gore-Tex. The sole has great grip and it just made for a really pleasant hike.I have another pair of Nike Pegasus for running and love those as well. With these having the Gore-Tex and the trail running capacity, it just makes them that much greater! I always go up half size for runners and these were no different. Half size up from normal everyday size and you should be perfect!
I'll be honest. I did not buy this because I planned to do much trail running. I just prefer trail running design for stability, comfort, walking, and the gym. Last Nike trail runner I purchased was 20 years ago, and they are still holding up as a yard work shoe. But these Pegasus Trail 3 (Gore-Tex) are far more comfortable in every way. I have slightly wide feet and these fit perfectly. Very happy.
