Nike Pegasus Trail 3 Laser Blue Habanero Red

Coming in a Laser Blue and a Habanero Red colourway, these Nike Pegasus Trail 3 Running Shoes are perfect for those looking for high-performance whilst maximising comfortability. Whilst the performance of the shoe offers a significant upgrade upon the Pegasus trainers, the design still has the same classic look. The collar has been kept the same along with the vintage tongue. Nike's react foam runs from heel to toe along the bottom of the shoe providing maximum support. This level of cushioning is ideal for those that enjoy running on rocky terrain. To provide even more support, the dynamic band system wraps around the midfoot to ensure that your ankle is locked in and doesn't fall victim to the challenges of off-road running.

THE most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. Bought these for non-leg-days in the gym (Have dedicated squat shoes for that). Yes, they're trail running shoes but they are extremely comfortable in the gym, and the way the top is made my wide foot fits them well and they still have great stability and run cool. I did go for 11'S as they had slightly more room that the 10.5's I normally wear for my wide feet. The orange color is awesome and vibrant and I stand out in the gym. Now I just need the light blue pair!

I’ve worn various road-focused versions of the Nike Pegasus for more than a decade, and this trail model doesn’t disappoint. I use on both single-track and at the gym, and have found sizing true to other Nikes running shoes. My one disappointment with the fit is my foot sitting farther forward than I’m used to, which creates extra space between the back of my heel and end of the shoe. My favorite feature is the deep cushion underfoot that creates a very comfortable ride. Because of the height, I expected to sacrifice lateral stability, but found it to be surprisingly good. The Pegasus Trail 3 isn’t as stiff or rugged as other trail running or hiking shoes, so wouldn’t recommend for a technical or muddy hike. And it’s certainly versatile: I put these on several times for a workout and found myself still wearing them after errands, picking up the kids, and a few hours around the house. The teal wasn’t my favorite (though it grew on me) because it was tough to match with any of my workout clothes. But performance- and comfort-wise, the Pegasus Trail 3 has performed well.

The fit and feel of these Nikes were great. They run about a 1/2 size big in my opinion, but were comfortable right out of the box. No rubbing or breaking in.Colors were great. Due to shoe design, look is bulky/clunky and look heavy even though they aren’t.Worn all day long. Great spring and grip. Lots of padding for woods/trails so you wouldn’t feel a rock or branch. One of the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn. Perfect trail shoe with springy padding. The padding/feel is what I like best. Great transfer of energy. Really comfortable and effortless to walk. My only dislikes are the bulkiness and lack of more muted color options. Overall a great shoe!

Great running trainers, but on the pricey end
11 August 2023

They are comfortable, great for running, springy and look great. My son loved his old Pegasus trainers and wanted exactly the same again. This pair claims to be waterproof - which is very useful, so we are looking forward to see how they perform. Feeling quietly confident. We paid extra to have waterproofness and hope they won't stink after running in rain like all the others do. That is the only reason we paid this much. Shoelaces are good. My son has wide foot, so we usually half size bigger than say clarks shoes when we buy trainers. I absolutely hate the process of buying trainers for my son as he has UK 12.5 foot - size rarely found in the shops to try. So we had another Nike pair of trainers we had to return back to Sports Direct and they did not give us our money back - only vouchers. They did at a push give us a free return (i.e. they covered return costs), and that is only because we bought two pairs at the same time and one pair fitted fine, whereas the other did not and they were both same size. I hope Sports Direct allow their shops to handle returns for free like other shops do. I would be then using Sports direct more often - the way their returns operate at the moment I only order from them if I am absolutely confident about the size.

Little bit bigger than expected
2 April 2022

I'm a big fan of Pegasus series, normally wear size 8.This is the first time to try this TRAIL version, and I just got this item in size 8.I definitely felt that it runs 1/2 bigger than expected. So, I will return this, and I will re-order this item with size 7.5But!!!!!!!!!! I think that this TRAIL version is made for real trailing with thick trail socks. If you consider this, just try your own size.As you know, the thickness of normal socks for normal shoes is completely different from the trailing socks.Hope this helps your size choiceOverall, the cushion feeling was perfect, durability is expected to be good.

Nike Pegasus Trail 3: Versatile and comfortable!
22 November 2021

Knowing this shoe is focused on trail running/hiking with emphasis on cushioning, I made the decision to go half size up to 10.5 (versus my true to size 10 in Jordans and non-running Nikes), which was the way to go. The Nike Pegasus Trail 3 fits snug and wraps around my foot comfortably, which is important for traversing uneven and rocky terrain. The thick React foam in the midsole is surprisingly light and springy, but still provides good structural support for everyday wear.I believe the design language of the shoe was to provide hiking utility while still allowing for casual wear. The upper is made of mesh to keep the shoe breathable, which allows me to wear the shoes all day long. The shoes are very light, comfortable, and easy to put on. There’s also no need to untie and retie the laces, and shoes are easy to slip on and off. What I like most about the Pegasus Trail 3 is how versatile one pair of shoes can be. I was able to work out, pick up groceries, and hike a trail all in the same pair of shoes. Although teal is not my preferred color for shoes, I do admit it matches well with the greyish-pinkish midsole to create a very striking colorway.

Outperformed my expectations

I give these trail running shoes a 5 star rating because they fit perfectly on my feet and are extremely comfortable. The Gore-Tex material has kept my feet dry during rainy day runs. The shoes are great for off road and on road running. I have lower back issues and I found the Nike Pegasus Trail 3 shoes to be the best for me. I also noticed my feet do not get cold when running in cool weather. I can only attest to my feet not getting cold at temperatures as low as 32 degrees at this time of this review. The gaiter has kept water from getting into my socks and has kept my feet dry during runs in the rain. I highly recommend the Pegasus Trail 3 Gore-Tex running shoes.

Perfect Shoes For Hiking
21 November 2021

First, these shoes are super comfortable. They are generous in width which is a plus for me since I have a wider foot. The extra room also keeps my feet from feeling like they are going to burst out of when flexing and climbing. Shoes can sometimes pinch my feet in certain spots preventing me from getting much wear out of them. These don't do that at all. I also like how they give me plenty of support and bounce but still allow me to feel the ground. That is important for me as I like to feel the changing terrain so that I can adjust my footing accordingly. I can definitely wear these shoes out on the trail all day long. The Pegasus Trail 3 Mens Trail Running Shoes are also super stylish. The color palette is gender neutral yet still fun. These can be worn out on errands and still look good. I also love the string loop on the back for getting the shoe on. It isn't the usual loop of fabric that can often be hard for me to get my finger inside to use.I think what I liked most about these shoes is that they are plenty wide yet still supportive. It really helped make the shoes comfortable and practical while out running. If I had to pick one thing I am a little hesitant about it would be the nose of the shoes. I am not sure that the rubber will stay well adhered to the fabric if it gets wet often or with a lot of use.If you are looking for a stylish yet comfortable shoes that will allow you to run on various surfaces this one is it! I highly recommend these shoes and can't wait to get some more runs out of them.

Pros and Cons
19 December 2021

Straight out of the box, I immediately noticed the nice design and material. Fits true to size and not narrow like Nikes usually are. There’s good grip on pavement, dirt, and grass. But grip on concrete is a little slippery when bottom of the shoes are wet, a slight safety concern when you want to run a day after it rains on the sidewalk. Break in period wasn’t too bad, except the heel tab is a little pointy and dug into my heel more. A slight annoyance but it eventually softened up after a 20 min walk around the block. The tongue was a little flimsy and would always sink into the shoe when putting them on. However, they work well with a shoe horn. Overall, a good trail shoe for different terrains when dry. Not sure how they would fair in various wet conditions.

Wide platform of react foam is great, takes corners and down hill very secure, the react has nice ride to it and feels better when you pick up the pace. Heel is locked down, through the saddle is secure as well, toebox is a little too roomy for my preference, but not a large negative. Shoe definitely feels like it's almost 11 oz, was feeling like I was working at 6 miles compared to lighter road shoes. The grip is an issue, can get pretty squirrelly on different types of pavement, in both dry and wet conditions. handles well on grass as expected. As for using the shoe in a non running capacity, it would make a great fall/winter/spring shoe when conditions aren't optimal and would be a very comfy all day shoe because of the react foam.
