The Pegasus Turbo Next Nature is an excellent running shoe to add to your collection. The colorway is beautiful and has the aesthetic of a modern running shoe. It is nice to know that Nike is using recycled materials to create these shoes which does not affect the performances. I did struggle a few times getting my foot into the shoes; however, once it was completely in, the shoes did fit true to size with no discomfort feeling of being too tight. The shoes are firm and not as bouncy as other compatible models such as the Pegasus 39 but I do prefer firm shoes when I am running/jogging. The tractions and stability are excellent. I did not experience the feeling of tipping over while running. Overall, Nike added another awesome running shoe for anyone that is looking ...Ā MoreThe Pegasus Turbo Next Nature is an excellent running shoe to add to your collection. I loved the Pegasus Turbo and Turbo 2, so when I saw that Nike was releasing the Turbo Next Nature, I was pretty excited. However, for better or worse, this shoe is not as soft, cushioned, and bouncy as its predecessors. Maybe it's the nature of the recycled ZoomX foam that's used for the midsole, or the fact that this version doesn't seem to have the layer of React foam that the earlier Turbo models did, but the Turbo Next Nature, while still bouncy overall, has a firmer stepoff overall. It's still quite comfortable to use casually, but if you're going to use this shoe for running, it's probably better designed now for speed runs given the firmer feel of the midsole. The Pegasus Turbo Next Nature shoes combine Nike's focus on sustainable efforts with innovation and without compromising on design. The shoes are on the firmer side, providing a secure fit. I have been breaking in these shoes this past week and I find the cushioning to provide satisfactory bounce and support on my runs. The lightweight fly knit upper is breathable and conforms to my foot without rubbing. The one piece upper creates a slightly restrictive opening. By generously loosening the laces, I find it easier to put on the shoes. I am experiencing slight rubbing at the heel collar. The soles also feel flat and I was able to easily remove the insoles and replace them with inserts to better support my arch. I personally prefer my Pegasus 38s for my feet shape and running style, but I am going to give the shoes another few weeks before I retire them as running shoes and use them exclusively for wear as an all day comfort casual sneaker.

There are a lot of types of runners in the world. Some, like my husband, set out for a "casual" 10 mile jaunt and think nothing of it. Others count it a win when they've completed the classic Couch to 5k program. I'm definitely more in that camp of runner--I want to love running, but I'm still getting acclimated. A big part of the journey for me is finding the right shoe. So far, I've run in neutral shoes that have little cushion. I have wanted to try something a bit springier, so I was thrilled to receive the Pegagus Turbo Next Natural to try for free and was even more thrilled when I loved them. These shoes have cushion! From the moment I put them on in my house, I noticed how soft and bouncy they felt. To be honest, I feared they may be TOO bouncy...I wondered if I'd feel unstable when moving. Once I hit the road, though, those fears dissipated. While definitely springy, they're still fairly firm and I felt secure and supported. The bounce the shoes provide helped propel me forward, and my calves felt less fatigued after my run. They're great for a run, but they also felt great while running errands and walking around town. I wore them for an entire day of errands and walked a full 10,000 steps in them, and my feet felt great. I can see including these shoes in my wardrobe for many uses, whether I'm running to the grocery store in leggings and a baggy t-shirt or while working out. I got these in the black/off noir/sesame/sail color combo and LOVE the neutral vibe they give. They're so easy to pair with leggings, jeans, or maybe even a casual dress. They're sleek and don't have a huge footprint, so they are easily styled with a variety of outfits. It's also worth noting that these shoes are made for the road and have a good amount of grip. I've run after a rain and they had no issues with the wet pavement. They're not as grippy as my trail runners, but I think they'd be ok on some dirt trails that don't have a ton of rocks or other big obstacles. The feel is great, how about the fit? I'm a true 10, and a 10 fit perfectly. I would suggest sizing up a half size if you plan on running long distances, but I had no issues with the sizing. The only downside I found: the rim of the shoe is pretty stiff, especially by the heel. I had no issues once I got them on, but I did need to wear taller socks to prevent the shoe from rubbing into my foot at the ankle and the sides. I also noted the lack of second hole for laces, though I had zero slippage as I ran. If you have a thinner heel, the lack of extra grommet may be problematic.Overall, I give these a solid 4 stars. If I could do a half star, I'd bump to 4.5 as I don't think the stiffness of the edge is a huge deal, but I know for some it may be.
A decent shoe if you can get it on sale. Mine currently have about 160 miles on them. The two issues I have with them are one the left and right eyelets are too close to each other. That winds up throwing off the lockdown of the shoe and makes it so the laces appear to be long. And two the rubber on the bottom is pretty thin. Probably around 3mm total. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but the rubber needs to be more durable to deal with it. I'm starting to see the beginning of wear through when I would hope to see that closer to the 300 mile mark. Nike should totally pair with a tire manufacturer like Adidas does to make rubber for these and they'd be excellent. Other concerns is the foam always feels a bit hard for the first quarter mile or so until it loosens up. ...Ā MoreA decent shoe if you can get it on sale. Mine currently have about 160 miles on them. I have been deep into Nike running products over the years and initially fell in love with ZoomX cushioning with Nike's Introduction of the ZoomX Invincible Run. The Pegasus Turbo Next Nature takes it to a faster, more fun pace than the Invincibles, but don't sacrifice the comfort for speed. I am not really much of fan of the regular Pegasus line for anything other than casual daily wear, but I have enjoyed my runs so far in Next Natures. They are light, that is the first thing you will notice when you put them on. I wore mine for a few days casually to just get an on foot feel, and noticed immediately just walking around that they were exceptionally light and still comfortable.I'm not the fastest runner so I have done a mix of slow pace and slightly less slow pace runs in these trainers and I must say that they really do shine at my quicker paces. Bouncy and responsive, comfort reminiscent of my favorite Invincible trainers. ZoomX is superior to React or even just classic EVA or Zoom cushioning in other Nike models and that is a hill I am willing to rest on forever. Adding it to the Pegasus just seems unfair.I will continue to use this pair for longer runs and faster runs, as they shine in the performance a little bit more than other daily trainers I have used like the Infinity Run 3 or the Invincible runs. No issues thus far after 20 miles or so in durability. Gripwise the outsole does well in most conditions, can be a little slick in wet conditions. My only complaint of these is the connected tongue. It can be a little annoying at first but once I start to cruise through my runs, the shoe just feels connected and I hardly notice they're even there. If you are in need of a stability trainer for running, I may consider looking elsewhere due to the stack height and build, it can be a little unsteady if you are not used to it, or require the additional support of a stability trainer. The upper is also another shining star, not only does it look good, but it feels well put together and does well to lockdown the foot.Overall, an improvement over the classic Pegasus line, mostly due to the upper being flyknit over the traditional mesh uppers seen on Pegasus line, and of course the ZoomX foam. I'd recommend to anyone looking for a speedy, comfy shoe for faster miles or longer tempos. As an added benefit, the Next Nature line makes this a part of getting closer to zero waste, so they are better for the environment, and who doesn't love that?
I have wide-ish feet and pretty high arches. I loved the Air Zoom Pegasus Turbo 2 from a few years ago. However, the only similarity between that shoe and this one is the name. The flyknit upper fits securely but the collar is difficult to pull over my arches. Overall the shoe is comfortable to walk and stand in. It is definitely a neutral shoe, feels a bit less bulky than the Peg 39.Cushioning is moderate, I donāt feel a lot of compression and expansion when moving in the shoe. This is supposed to be a highly responsive shoe but it does not feel like much. The former model was super snappy and this one feels more passive and flat.My biggest complaint with these shoes is around the durability of the outsole rubber. Having run in Pegasus since version 34, I really wanted to like this shoe. I wear through at least a half dozen pairs a year, and the concept is great. But two pairs later and I just canāt recommend them. The good: treads are my favorite pegasus pattern the I have used. Tread covers entire bottom with great surface contact. Grip and stability of a new pair is better than a normal pegasus as far back as I can remember. Upper material is nice and comfortable, and definitely feels better than the plastic-like 39s. As others noted, they can be a bit difficult to put on - shoe horn comes in handy - but I do not see that as a major issue.Bad: durability/life was at best 100 good miles before they start to feel off. The toe area on the second pair feels like itās collapsing or missing. I know they are meant to be lighter than the workhorse pegasus, but this is a little much. And they do not feel lighter to make up for it. The longest I got comfortably out of these was 8 miles, while a standard pegasus is comfortable all day.Verdict: pass
The Pegasus Turbo Next Nature are overall a pretty good running show. They fit very well and don't run big or small, but fit just right. Your feet feel very snug and secure during exercising. Your feet don't overheat the more you exercise. Instead they feel very comfortable and cool throughout movement. Overall the fit and feel of the shoe is the bets quality of the shoe. The design of the shoe is very nice. The sock like feel of the shoe makes it extremely comfortable to wear and adds to the look. The shoe almost feels like the cushion on the bottom of the shoe favors the outer side of the foot. I found it very difficult to keep my balance at times due to the feeling of walking on the outer edges of my foot. Although the cushion of the shoe does feel very comfortable, it still can be annoying at times to lose your balance doing basic movements. Other than that, the shoe was overall a great shoe.
I am a huge fan of the Pegasus line, some of the most comfortable shoes out there in my opinion (over 20 different pairs from the 36 to the 39 with a few Pegasus Trail in the mix as well). I do go up 1/2 size normally on these due to a narrower toe box, and that is no different for this version. A tad more difficult to get on the foot though since the tongue area isnāt separate, kind of had to put my foot in sideways and turn it into the shoe. But once on, they are very light and very comfortable! Since a majority of my shoe collection is more for fashion and not to actually go running, I canāt speak for the durability. The sole isā¦different. Very soft and spongy feeling. Still prefer the regular Pegasus line or the Pegasus Trail (that React in the Trail is like walking on a cloud), but these are great as well!
