I’m a HS forward, and love the PG’3! I’ll give a short summary of each aspect of the shoe, then give a ranking out of 10.Traction: 10/10The traction is OUTSTANDING! On any court I played on(after the break in time) the shoe stuck like glue. It required little wiping, and is almost perfect.Cushion: 9/10The cushion is great. Takes a while to break in. But once you do, you have a cushion set up that is very bouncy in the fore-foot, has great impact protection and is fairly responsive.Materials: 7/10This is the only part of the show that a didn’t really like. The materials definitely get it done on the court, but aren’t very premium or comfortable. Definitely not bad, but not great either.Support: 9/10The lacing of this shoe really hugs your ankle, and makes ... MoreI’m a HS forward, and love the PG’3! And while my ankle felt really secure, I would have loved a slightly bigger outrigger to feel a little safer on hard lateral cuts, although the current width of the base is enough.Fit: 9/10I have a pretty average foot width and these fit a little on the snug side, which felt almost perfect. The only part was that the toe box area was a little crowded, but that went away mostly with time.I am very pleased with this shoe and love playing in them!OVERALL SCORE: 8.8/10

For years on buying basketball shoes I wasn't really into studying the technologies behind these shoes, I just buy them based on which one was on sale. And as a result, I have been bothered by pain in my ankles after hooping and had developed a bad habit on making quick stops, which I had to twist my ankle because of the lack of traction on the shoes. For the first time I have decided to spend a little more to get a signature shoes, and this PG3 doesn't disappoint. The shoes feels narrow and hurt a little on the two side on initial wears, but after 7 hours of break in time, it's feeling very comfortable now. And more importantly, there is no more pain on my ankles after playing, so the cushioning is very good. As for traction, I can actually feel the zoom air under my forefoot, this helps fix my bad habit slowly. Because of the good traction, I can now make quick lateral stops using just my forefoot instead of countering the momentum by twisting the ankles.Overall, amazing shoes for the price and performance.

Indoor use only, they don’t hold up outdoors.

90 percent or more of our household sneakers are Nike brand. I am rarely disappointed with the brand, but these shoes should be labeled as indoor only. I purchased these sneakers for my son as practice shoes for indoor and outdoor basketball practices. The outsole is separating from the base at the toe section and the area at the balls of the feet is starting to shed. We have had them for just under a month.

Nice Progression
25 February 2019

These are a nice next step in the PG line. Upon first wear they do feel small and a bit stiff but those who play a lot of basketball know that even with the new materials that we have, all shoes need a good break in time to get the full effect. Give them a few more games before you take them back. Great traction and fit improves greatly. 10 mm forefoot zoom and nice materials on a signature shoe for 110.... sounds like a great deal to me.

PG 3
14 August 2019

I recently purchased a pair and they were way too tight on the width of my foot. Completely unlaced the shoe and I still felt really uncomfortable in them. I currently play basketball in PG 2's and love them, but unfortunately had to return the PG 3's because of how different they were/felt from the 2's. I would recommend going a half-size up if you decide on purchasing this shoe.

PG 3 sold me
6 November 2019

This was my very first pair of PG's and let me tell you I am sold on the brand. I play a lot of outdoor and indoor basketball and this shoes transitions to both environments without any issues.I am not 100 sold on the low cut since I prefer mid-cut and high cut but i have yet to roll or twist my ankle in these. There so good I ordered another pair of NIKE ID's just to use for our outdoor tournament. They are light and breathe pretty good. I can compare them to the Greek Freak 1 but to me the Greek Freak is a little more narrower and doesn't perform outdoors as good as this one does. If you are a guard, or forward this shoe is for you.

Pain in heel
19 November 2019

Bought these for the upcoming HS basketball season. They are a decent looking shoe. However, after wearing for a couple weeks, have a consistent pain in both of my heels. Shoe does not fit very well. Not sure if it's my feet or the shoe itself. Unfortunately, I will be purchasing a different pair of shoes.

They were great until...
22 June 2019

My 14yo plays travel basketball so we go through shoes quite frequently. Our team picked the PG3 as their shoes but half way through our regular season my son outgrew them so we had to purchase another pair. We have only had the new shoes 2 wks and already the sole is separating on one shoe! Very disappointing considering they are perfect for him. They had great ankle support, lightweight, and amazing traction but the fact they still look brand new and are falling apart is a bummer!

Too tight and uneven soles
13 July 2020

I bought a size W9 and they are too tight. I could barely put them on even with the laces undone. Once on the sole of the left foot was different from the right. The left shoe, on the inside seemed as if the curve for a natural arch of your foot was on the wrong side. The right shoe had the same problem but less pronounced. I am returning.

Top 5 performance in 2019
5 December 2019

Considering its performance and price, everything is excellent except... nothing. That's right.Traction, lateral support, heel lock-down, cushion, light weight, ventilation, durability, price... check! There are better looking shoes out there, sure. These are the closest things to Kobe's and with $110 price tag before discount. What more do you want?
