The Paul George 6 basketball sneaker is a solid, but not exceptional, in my opinion, shoe. Where it excels in certain areas, there are noticeable factors that could be improved.Right out of the box, I was surprisingly a fan of the infrared/grey/black colorway. The thick, embroidered backwards swoosh pops out from the otherwise plain textile choices for the upper. When I tried them on for the first time, the sneakers felt a bit tight in the toebox area, but not to a point where I was concerned the functionality would be lost (to preface this, I have slightly wider feet). Any concern that I may have had went out-the-window when I stood up. Any concern that I may have had went out-the-window when I stood up. The fully react foam midsole is extremely comfortable - one of the most comfortable footbeds on a basketball shoe I've experienced. Transitioning to the court, I found that my feet weren't tired after almost 2-hours of continuous play. The lateral design on the midsole combined with the medial webbing keeps your foot locked in place while running/jumping up and down the court, and the padding around the ankle kept it supported and comfortable. The traction on the outsole also performed well. With that being said, I found that the comfort level in the footbed was offset by one very noticeable issue - the heat! While the sneaker does a great job keeping your foot from sliding and supporting your ankle, it also traps the heat in due to the heavily-padded and tight-knit materials preventing breathability. I also noticed that I wasn't getting as much "bounce" as I normally get, which I attribute to the lack of zoom air in the midsole which I've grown accustomed to. I usually cut quickly, and I feel that these are more designed towards an off-the-ball style of play.Overall, these are a solid, functional sneaker that excels in comfort and gets the job done despite a non-breathable upper design. Now that the weather is starting to get warmer, I'll try these outside to see if there is any difference in performance.

I really like that although this is a basketball sneaker, the comfort and reactiveness of the sole made it efficient enough for me to workout in as well as wear casually to run errands around town. This comfort is next level and allowed me to run further during my jogging sessions and go longer during basketball pickup games at the gym. I have flat feet and often get backaches when exercising too long without good footwear, but I didn’t notice any aches or pains in my back or anywhere else.Overall, I would rate this sneaker a 7 out of 10. I really love the comfortability and support that this sneaker provides, which allows for maximum performance. While it is extremely comfortable and supportive, it is not the most visually appealing sneaker. If I could change anything about it, I would make it a tad bit taller to provide additional ankle support and I would also change the design of the toe box as I’m not a fan of the pointy look and it really takes away from the sneaker.

The React foam cups your foot and provides a very soft, plush ride but is responsive enough to give you some bounce back when needed. Not as good as Zoom Air, but gets the job done. This is a great shoe! I was a little skeptical at first because I've been in love with Air forever and have been a little hesitant to try out the new React foam, but these deliver. They're incredibly comfortable. They fit true to size, and I'm a wide footer so that's not always the case. These don't hurt my feet at all and they feel good wearing all day. I completed several workouts in them and they feel fantastic. No break-in period required, you can just put them on and go hard. The cushioning is great, the materials are durable yet lightweight, and the tongue in particular is just perfect. It reminds me a lot of the Air Tech Challenge II tongue, which is a huge plus because that's one of my all-time favorite sneakers Nike has ever made. It reminds me a lot of the Air Tech Challenge II tongue, which is a huge plus because that's one of my all-time favorite sneakers Nike has ever made. When I first opened them up I felt like they looked a little bulky, but once they were on foot it was clear they were light, responsive, and looked slim and modern when worn. I particularly love that these are low cut. I tend to always get low-cut sneakers for my workouts and these are a perfect addition to my rotation. The speed lacing system works really well, the lockdown is no joke, and the collar/heel area in particular feels very comfortable. I really love the materials used in those areas specifically. They feel really good against your skin. Overall, I strongly recommend this shoe to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-fitting, low-cut basketball sneaker. The design is very aesthetically pleasing and the performance is top-notch. PG should be proud to play in these and you'll be happy to as well.
I have to say the PG6 is a beautiful shoe! From the moment I opened the box to the moment I had them on feet I absolutely loved the look. The slim silhouette, color way, react sole, the upper material and the backwards swoosh come together nicely to give this shoe a stylish and futuristic look. My favorite thing about the PG6 is the rubber parts of the lace holes that remind me of the air max 90, that classic touch really drove it home for me.The fit of the PG6 was a little snug and made it slightly uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time. The inside upper of the sock liner dug into my ankle if worn with low socks. I feel like a half size up would of been a way better choice for someone with a wider foot like me. The only thing I would change about it is a little more padding at the top of the sock liner.
The fit of this shoe was just right; perfectly hugged my souls and was particularly supportive around my ankles, just like a basketball shoe should be.I love this design; the accents of neon orangey-peach against the blacks and grays of this color-way is what I believe makes the entire shoe so eye-catching. The backwards Nike check mark is SUCH a nice touch, and my favorite detail. These kicks are so comfortable and light; I had worked out in them, walked miles home, went to the grocery store, etc. Perfect for all-day wear! The design and overall comfortability of this shoe is more than what I could’ve hoped for. It’s a new and refreshing experience!I think the only thing I would change about this shoe might be the shoe strings. I feel as though they lack a bit in regards to their length and they’re also a bit on the thicker side when lacing them.
Let me preface to say that I am not an avid basketball player but the key characteristics are there. These are true to size. I normally wear size 8.5 in other Nike running shoes. These fit just right, lightweight, not much sliding around, not too tight in the toe box, good ankle support and very good cushioning on the heel. No doubt the comfort is helped by the React foam which I am familiar with in my other running shoes. The heel cushioning seems like some kind of memory foam. After the first few times of wearing these, I noticed after taking them off that there was a sort of wrinkle in the heel but because they are that memory material, it went away after it forms to your heel again.Looks are subjective, my pair are in the cement grey/infrared 23-black ... MoreLet me preface to say that I am not an avid basketball player but the key characteristics are there. These are true to size. It’s a very versatile shoe to wear around casually with whatever athletic wear you have or even jeans.Overall I’d rate these as an 8/10 shoe. I’ve worn these for almost a week straight to break them in, and I can attest that they are super comfortable to wear all day running errands and daily stuff. My only real complaint is that the venting seems to be inadequate to me. I feel like my feet are very warm and sweaty when wearing. Other than that, these would be an almost perfect shoe for daily use.
Designers did a great job in designing a shoe for dynamic players. The PG 6 gives you performance, comfort, and style. I believe the most overlooked part of a basketball shoe is the heel cup, and the PG 6 does a good job in providing cushioning, security, and flexibility. The PG 6 allowed me to move effortlessly on the court and I never felt constraints on my ankles when moving. The fit and feel is on another level as well. Amazingly, my feet never felt snug even after hours of playing. In fact, this is the first Nike shoe that I’ve worn where I liked the Nike React foam. These are attention grabbers and not to overwhelming that they hurt your eyes. The only con I have is that the shoe is not breathable. It’s not to noticeable that it will affect performance just something to take note of. I think this is due to the tongue being thick and having extra cushioning. However, the PG 6 is a must buy!
The latest signature shoe from NBA player Paul George leaves behind it’s previous Air cushioning and boasts Nike’s lightweight Renew cushioning to provide a comfortable basketball sneaker. After putting the sneakers on and lacing them up, the first thing I noticed is the pretty regular fit. The shoe fits true to size where it’s not too roomy, but not extremely snug either. I experienced no heel slippage, however there were a few instances of side-to-side movements inside the footbed while walking around in them. In terms of comfort, it is pretty comfortable to wear. The tongue and heel areas provide nice padding, however they don’t provide much breathability. The sneakers are more on the lighter side so running and jumping around in them felt fast and responsive. The cushion appears to be full-length Nike Renew and each initial step felt nice and plush and provided high responsiveness. The shoe is comfortable enough to wear all day long due to the Renew technology of the midsoles. The traction pattern of the outsoles looks good and different. The PG 6 grips hard flooring really well, and I have no complaints with these outsoles performance-wise. In regards to the appearance of the shoe, I must admit that the design and build can be improved. The knit upper is a nice touch, but my favorite feature is definitely the embroidered knit swoosh. I’m not too much of a fan of the lacing system as it looks kind of wide and bulky. The toe box area also seems kind of cheap and doesn’t provide much padding. Overall, the shoe is pretty good all-around performance-wise, but can have some improvements done to it’s appearance to look more appealing. Thank you for providing me with the shoes to test and review!
The Paul George 6s (PG6) are the extremely soft to the touch and even softer on your feet. They are super comfortable to wear all whether you're walking around doing errands, going outside for a nice stroll, or even working out. You can wear these all day and not have to worry about your feet hurting. They have a every stutle color blocking consisting of a neutral/Heather grey accompanied with some small black and infared accents. You can literally wear them with anything. The colors make these stand out even though that isn't their intention. My favorite parts about the shoe are the react soles which make you feel like your stepping on cloud nine, along with the added heel support of a thicker yet soft heel.
