We were hesitant about buying cleats online, but my kid has such a large foot, that no one carries quality boots in store. These fit great. They have good heel pads and sole cushion. The studs are placed fairly nicely. (He doesn’t like the stud placement on Copas). Minimal break-in period needed.Overall we are happy with this shoe. He had only played 3 games in them thus far, so we’ll have to see how the durability is.

I wanted a synthetic cleat as i sweat a lot and my copas absorb way too much water during match day in hot humid days. Runs a bit long and narrow. The gr skin is great and provides good ball grip without being over the top like the current predators. The fit around the heel is really nice and locked.

I wore these shoes for about a month, they had great control and touch but are really just extremely uncomfortable. I tried everything from bandages to double socking to blister bandaids, but for months my heels would form horrible cuts and blisters. Even after i had broken them in and worn them for a month i still kept getting more cuts.

Back in the days, Magista and Mercurial were lovely boots that I could never wear. They were both very narrow boots that didn't fit well on my feet. I've been left with two options: the great Hypervenom Phantom and Nike Tiempo, which has a nice vintage look, but don't carry the latest technology Nike has to offer.I bought 4 or 5 pairs of the top tier Hypervenom in the last decade and been the happiest customer ever. However, the evolution of Hypervenom, now called Nike Phantom GT is designed for the narrow feet players, following the same shape as Magista and Mercurial. What a shame.I had to go for one size bigger, which feels comfortable on the sides, but leaves an empty gap in front of my toes.If you have wide feet, don't buy it.
I got these because they discontinued the Visions hoping they'd be similar. The GT have gotten away from the synthetic mesh and went to a more stiffer rubbery boot that the other companies went with. Not as bad but in that direction. The GT are also more narrow than the Vision but not as narrow as the Tiempo 7. The GT are also a bit longer. With the Vision and Tiempo the 7.5 Mens U.S. was about a half thumb width of toe room. The GT are a full thumb width. Also, the heal is super stiff with basically zero padding so that may cause a blistering problem over time.
First time I bought these in a size below my normal which is 9.5 and into a 8.5. They fit well in terms of how much space there was in my toe, but they were too tight on the sides. So, then i returned them, and ordered in my normal size which was a mistake since now they leave 3/4 or an inch of space in the toe box. In the end i would recommend going at least half a size down to be good in all departments in terms of fitting and comfort.
Shock of my life , the price of elite boots but these were what could be a bargain at £120 as that was half price ooof . At the end of day my 13 year old boy said it's the best boots he's had and loves them . Apparently you control the ball better too but I've yet to notice that lol . Son fully recommends them
Going to save you some time on these if you have wide feet. Great material, love the touch on the ball but terrible for wide feet. Left major blisters on the heel. Wore them for a full 90 min match and had swollen sides of my feet by the end of them after training with them for weeks. Loved the Hypervenoms I, II and III. Even owned a few pairs of the Phantom VNM but these will not suit wide feet, go with the Tiempos instead.
My daughter has been wearing Tiempos for the last few years. We decided to give the Phantom GT Elite a try based on other reviews as she has a very harrow foot. While the fit was great, the upper has a horrible feel. The synthetic material is like plastic. I just don't see anyway that this would ever come close to providing a nice touch on the ball or mold to someone's foot. Returning this and going back to Tiempos.
Cleats will feel very tight the first few times you wear them, especially mid foot. I warmed-up in them, then switched to my old one for game time. By the third time to wear them they felt great. Extra texture on the exterior of the cleat caused my long balls to hook a little more than I wanted, but was able to adjust over time.
