Simply love these shoes. I use them for both road and trail running, they stand up well in both cases. In fact they are my go to footwear while pushing myself through the grueling 5k, 10k and 21k Spartan Races. They are waterproof, but keep in mind they will not keep water or mud out if your foot is completely submerged. But surprisingly it’s not overly uncomfortable continuing afterwards. They’ve preformed well from the rocky mountainsides of West Virginia to the muddy swamps in central Florida. Don’t let the “trail running” stand in your way if that’s not your thing, they stand up just as well while putting in road miles on the hard surfaces of the city. Snug in the toebox height; not sure if it is because of the protective coating over the big toe causing pressure. Could be because the padding in the heel collar is pushing my foot forward. Whatever the reason, it made the shoe feel short even though it was not short. The rest of the shoe felt extremely comfortable and fit well, but definitely not the egalitarian fit that I expect from a Peg. Might stretch out after time but I'd rather not waste the time having to break in a running shoe. Unfortunately these are getting returned, so I can't comment on the waterproofing. But since it's gore-tex, I'm sure it's good. Been waiting a year for Nike to release the triple black version of this model, so I'm bummed that it ended up being a return.

This review is long overdue. I was traveling this fall in the UK- London and throughout Scotland. As we all know that part of the world is renowned for notorious for bad, wet weather. I wanted a waterproof sneaker for walking in the streets of London while still looking good. It poured and they worked. We took a day excursion to Stonehenge where it rained/snowed/sleet. Feel were relatively warm and stayed dry.The off to Scotland where a 100 year storm hit, more rain/wind so bad they closed Edinburgh Castle. Walked the streets for 3 days in foul weather gear and my Nike Gore Tex sneakers. Then up to St. Andrews where I walked the Old Course in between storms, grounds were soaking wet, still no wet feet. I traveled out of NYC , winter (bad) weather, wore them on the plane, hiked in the rain forest and ended up playing another round of Golf in them. Kudos to Nike for the design/style/materials. Best purchase of sneakers ever.

Had the shoes for about a year or so. Worn about 15 times from wet ground to light rain to heavier rain.These shoes are water resistant at best. Wet ground its perfectly water proof, but then again many shoes are functionally could b comparable.During any bit of actual rain, my inside of shoes were wet and socks were drenched.DO not recommend if you want an actual "gortex" waterproof shoes. Not even close to waterproof.With that said, size is good, and fit is good. Decent shoes for trail or road running, also walking was good. Only problem was the waterproof part, which is why i got this shoes in the first place. Paid full price for the all black one.THERE ARE BETTER OPTIONS OUT THERE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Definitionally, Gore-Tex isn’t the most breathable material, so any sweat that builds up inside will get trapped in greater amounts compared to non-coated shoes.Ultimately though, I bought these shoes for a very specific purpose: to run in wet conditions without worrying about soaking wet socks and the blisters that accompany them. And in that respect, I think these are the best waterproof trail shoes on the market right now. I’m looking forward to giving them a try in snowy conditions as well this winter.

Was expecting this show to last at least a full year but after 3 months of full time use in Fall and starting back up this Spring, for another month (total use of 4.5months since last late summer early Fall excluding winter, and continuous cleaning of goretex shell/rubber sole) and the toe showed holes and seam between rubber and upper toe shell coming apart. Bought these to fill that gap - hybrid trail/road shoe to stay on trails/roads in any weather. I’ve run these on non-technical wet/muddy trails, technical dry/rocky trails, and wet roads with steep incline/decline. Size wise - I stayed with usual 9.5 and it works for me but I can tell the toe box is a smidge shorter than I’m used to with other Nikes. Gore-Tex is great - keeps wet out without any swamp feet from too much heat retention. Traction is fantastic on wet roads and non-technical trails and surprisingly solid on technical trails. Only gripe is tread pattern does not shed mud too well. I notice the higher drop than my other trail shoes (Terra Kiger 6) at high pace downhill but don’t mind it. I’m definitely cautious of foot placement with stack height because that potential to roll feels like it’s there. Overall - shoe is exactly what one expects from a Pegasus made for either trail or road in any condition - it’s not the perfect tool for any job but it’s a good one for every job.

I guess you could say I have very normal feet. Welp, I order these and it feels like I'm wearing a full size smaller.
