Shoe looks great. I really enjoyed it. However shortly after buying the shoe tore on both of them where the Nike swoop is on the front. Around where the your toes would bend from walking. It is a very bad design flaw that could have been easily fixed when designed. You can tell they did not quality test the shoe very well.

I had this specific type of trainers before as I do a lot of walking, and they are good for over 1000 mls! ( that's not a typo!) I don't believe they are still generally available, so was massively pleased to find these, and they are as good as the last pair. Delivery quicker than promised too! Ace all round!

Greatest Training Shoe Ever Worn

Being a VERY picky person and particular on what goes on my feet, When I bought my first pair of Nike's from Famous Footwear I first bought the Nike White Reax 8 TR III SL Training Shoe. Before ever buying training shoes, I was always wearing either cowboy boots or the 5:11 tactical boots that I wore for work and I even wore the 5:11 Tactical boots when I worked out. Aggravated at wasting so much money only to have the same problem occur on a good shoe that didn't hold up, I went back to Famous Footwear and looked around until I found these AWESOME Nike Reax 8 TR Mesh Training shoes. I'm happy to say that I've had these shoes for almost 2 years now and their still holding up... BUT because I've had these for that long and have worn them everyday, the right shoe starts to squeak. Yes I said "Squeak"! And it's not just some of the time, it's ALL the time and it's quite embarrassing when me and the wife are out someplace and around a lot of people that look around to see where the squeak is coming from. So now I'm going to buy another pair, not because of the squeak but because I wear them while mowing and they basically just got grass stained. This Training Shoe in my opinion, is the most comfortable shoe that I have ever put on my feet. Being a former Marine and having 13 surgeries on each knee after I got out and being a Police Officer and injuring my back while on duty and having 3 back surgeries within the last 4 years, I need a very comfortable shoe that will give me lots of support in my feet, knee's, legs and back and these Reax 8 TR Training shoes do just that. For double support and for pain relief, I ended up putting Dr.Scholl's "Custom Fit" Orthotic Inserts inside and I have to say, other than the squeak these shoes went from being very comfortable to double the comfort!!! Looking forward to getting my next pair! As long as Famous Footwear keeps selling these Training Shoes, the longer they will have my business, regardless of the price! Sorry for the long post!

Love the shoes but no longevity

I bought two pairs of these Reax 8 Training Shoes Anth/Blk/Volt pair and Navy/Grey pair in July 2020. Originally I would have rated them 5 stars, because of comfort & fit, but a year later Sept.2021 and the Volt color pair's front sole is becoming detached (Volt color has been the least used of the two pairs). Purpose: normal everyday wear, cross training exercises (Insanity workout)(+)I'm flat footed it's difficult to find good comfortable wide wear shoes to workout in.(+) Good looking shoe, received compliments on them.(+) No foot pain from plyometric exercises(+) Solid toe tips ( non mesh toe tip)(-) Poor longevity, front sole falling apart in a year on both the right and left shoe of Volt pair.I'm torn I want to give it 4 stars because I loved the shoe ... MoreI bought two pairs of these Reax 8 Training Shoes Anth/Blk/Volt pair and Navy/Grey pair in July 2020. NOISY SHOES

I bought these shoes, had them for about 3 days and heard a faint squeaking, cleaned all on bottom of shoe. I started waking again heard it still... Well after 2 more days it was unbearable!! I went and exchanged them for another color of same shoe. WELL I had already bought another pair of shoes in a different style so I was wearing them at that particular moment. I didnt start wearing the REAX again till July 25. After 5 days they are making the SAME SCREECHING noise. Nike needs to do something about this. Due to the 3 months in between purchasing the 2nd pair of Reax Black & Gold, Shoe Carnival will not exchange the Shoe which I understand is the policy. NEXT STEP is to Call Nike.So if you dont want squeakiness STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOE!!.

Not breathable, not durable

Bought these for my son. He complained they are not breathable and unlike any other shoe he's worn, even winter boots, the unbreathability caused foot odor. He is in 4th grade and has never, ever had a problem like this. He's worn them 3x max and the smell is awful. Changing socks, spray in the shoe and feet do not help. Returning these. They look cool but are unbreathable, firm and poorly made.

Squeak FIXED. Good sneaker, overall.

I've owned a few pairs of this exact shoe over the past few years. They are generally comfortable. Tread pattern appears unimpressive and shallow, so that wears pretty quickly, but I didn't find that to be a problem from a function standpoint.The squeak/click that began a couple of weeks into my first pair was upsetting. It sounded like a small rock was stuck in the tread. Through research and experimentation I figured out how to fix the "squeak". I spray a little bit of WD-40 into the spot where each strut joints the bottom of the shoe, approaching from the outside of the shoe. (See picture) Periodically, I need to re-do the WD-40 treatment, especially if i get the shoes significantly wet with water.

Squeaks make them unwearable despite great style/comfort

I absolutely love the style and comfortable fit Nike Reax 8. I thought I'd found a successor to my beloved Nike 95's that are no longer available. Unfortunately the shoes started squeaking after just a few wears. Sounds like a creaky door. I love the style, fit and comfort and have received several compliments on the great look of the Reax (Black with Gold), but they are just not wearable when they start squeaking. If Nike can fix the squeak issue I'd buy them again in a flash.

Squeaky and falling apart in less than a year.

I wish I could give 5 starts. I have three pair in different colors and they all squeak for one. And now the mesh is ripped where the foot bends on 2 pairs. They are all a year old or less. Very disappointed. Very comfortable and light shoe.
