Designed to put in the work out of the box, the PS8 delivers with a 3-pronged approach. Starting with a layered Flyknit construction with leather in high-wear areas, it offers a broken-in feel that retains its shape session after session. An updated Flyplate is integrated into the sole, providing a responsive feel that works in tandem with the HART (High Abrasion Rubber Tech) outsole. HART uses less rubber to helps make the outsole lighter and more flexible. The PS8 wraps it all in a low-top silhouette with Nike Running aesthetics, heritage pattern and all the technical details that matter. HART outsole uses less rubber compound than our other XDR rubber technologies—without sacrificing durability and abrasion resistance. Updated Flyplate creates longevity in the foam and performs like it's fresh out of the box. Snappy and responsive, Air Zoom cushioning helps provide a quick-off-the-ground sensation.

Fit and Feel:The shoe fits true to size. It is a narrow style, but still fits true to size. It isn’t the most comfortable shoe and is stiff out the box. It’s very sleek and light weight. This colorway is mostly black with an “icy” sole. There are thin leather panels on the heels, toes, and eyestays.Skating:For a pair of SB Nikes, this leaves a lot to be desired. The shoe looks great, but that does little for it’s function. This outsole has great grip especially on grip tape and gritty floors. What I like most:I like the outsoles the most. I also like that you have the option to protect your laces with the lacing system. What could be improved:The padding, the materials, and the insoles could all be improved. There is minimal padding and the materials are too thin. The insoles are so flimsy and don’t really provide any comfort at all. I would also like to see a more padded tongue on a shoe branded as an SB pair.

These skate shoes have a nice grip. I like the semi-transparent sole which I think adds to the reason why the stick well to the deck. The upper feels durable enough to take a beating and the Flyknit is a nice touch. Two things that the shoe can improve upon: 1) too much slack in the laces after being tied; and 2) heel slips. I don't feel like my heel is all the way locked in, unless I use all of the eyelets. The black color way is a pretty basic design overall and nothing to turn heads about. They have a nice flat sole to keep you stable on the board.

The Nike SB PS8 is an impressive shoe with a great aesthetic. They fit true to size and offer excellent comfort. I appreciate the classic skateboarding design that Nike maintained. The combination of Flyknit and leather enhances breathability and durability. The materials used are top-notch, and the addition of multiple Swoosh logos is a nice touch. However, I would prefer if the clear midsoles were different, as they tend to attract dirt and stand out in a less appealing way. Despite this, the shoe remains an outstanding choice for skateboarding.

I really like this new ps8. I dig its modern look and they feel great out of the box. I would say they run true to size. They allow for a great board feel that seems pretty minimal under foot but you know an Air Zoom unit is there. I can’t wait to brake them in after a few wears. The Flyknit upper gives the medial and lateral sides a nice look and supportive feel once laced up. The translucent rubber outsole is definitely the icing (pun) on the cake.
Fantastic skateboarding and everyday shoe. The materials are extremely durable and withstand a lot of skateboarding punishment. The soles feel so sticky on the board, which is amazing. The option to lace these through the eyelets or through hidden loops behind the thick material is perfect for preserving laces from popping after a few skate sessions. The breathability in the tongue itself with air holes is a great touch and offered some very welcome relief on hot days. They offer so much comfort and stability in what looks like a minimalist shoe. I don’t know how Nike pulled it off but they nailed it with the PS8. The air zoom technology insoles are great for shock absorption. Nike SB really took the skateboarding community seriously and made a totally robust silhouette that looks great, and feels great.First off the look is so sleek, the flyknit midsection under the swoosh looks so good, with a Nubuck mudguard and heel it wraps together nicely with this newly designed sole and traction pattern that feels great walking on and when you’re on a skateboard, it holds great and so far bends great without losing any shape. And if you’re worried about popping laces doing tricks, this shoe can be laced two different ways! Hidden lace loops under or through the eyestay for a traditional look! The fit is true to size, however the toe box is definitely feels more narrow than say a Jordan 1 or Blazer Mid, so maybe a half size up if you have a ... MoreNike SB really took the skateboarding community seriously and made a totally robust silhouette that looks great, and feels great.First off the look is so sleek, the flyknit midsection under the swoosh looks so good, with a Nubuck mudguard and heel it wraps together nicely with this newly designed sole and traction pattern that feels great walking on and when you’re on a skateboard, it holds great and so far bends great without losing any shape. So could have just been my pair
These shoes are awesome. The fit is excellent with no heel slippage and plenty of grip. The design is absolutely amazing! My jaw dropped when I saw these in hand. From the flyknit to the covered laces I couldn't get enough. Don't let the flyknit fool you, these shoes are durable and once broken in are very comfortable. I have to add my favorite thing about these shoes are the design and colorway I love how good the ps8 look on foot and the sole pattern is awesome. One thing I would change is maybe having another shoelace option for a pop of color but besides that the nike sb ps8 are great.
At first look out of the box, I liked the look of the SB PS8. Simple, yet usable skate shoe. The good: seamless, unique look. Solid grip on sole. Comfortable. The not so good: the fit was a little off, length was longer than normal Nike sizes. Durability seems questionable but to be determined. I would like to see more color options and may try a half size down. If you are looking for a low key skate shoe that you can wear on a casual night out as well. These have a place in your collection.
So the Nike SB ps8s are sneaking their way into my weekly rotation , which I didn't expect when getting them. They seemed more like a quasi-formal sneaker that could also be used as some work shoes, because unfortunately I am an adult with adult bills and can't find the time to skate...which I'm sure these sneaks would be great for.The translucent midsole and the woven recycled looking material give this shoe versatility and can go hard in the right fits too. If these hold up like they feel they will I will have to get another pair.Only reason I didn't put 5 stars is they run just a TAD small. I have to untie and loosen the two upper sets of eyelets and even then sometimes use a shoe horn to slide in em. Which I'm sure that's how normal people wear shoes that fit normally but I've always had my sneakers permatied and can usually slip in them , or I just use a horn if I wanna just slip in and also have them tight enough to support.Small gripe, but a gripe nonetheless. 4/5 would recommend.
These are great shoes for skateboarding... or long boarding in my case.On top of that, they make for a great everyday sneaker for school / work. I have worn it with more casual outfits, as well as paired with a more formal fit to add a casual look. This shoe is a traditional Nike shape with a fun twist in the sole. The transparency adds a modern touch. They fit true to size and have comfortable cushioning. The upper part is a mix of fabric and leather, adding a nice visual effect.Overall, I'm really happy with these shoes.
