Casual Comfort

These shoes are surprisingly comfortable. I’m not a fan of shoes that have the chunky look because some of them tend to be very heavy and hard to walk in. When I got these, I was surprised at how lightweight the shoe felt. Although it’s considered a part of the “chunky” family, you won’t notice it when you put it on. You immediately feel the comfort from the soles and when you lace it up, the shoe strings or shoe tongue don’t dig into your foot. The shoe may sound a little loud while walking for the first time, but it breaks even and tends to be pretty flexible once you wear it more often. This shoe is perfect for a comfy athleisure outfit and for running errands all day. I got these shoes for my girlfriend as she's been wanting a "dad shoe" style for a while. The materials are very nice with great double-stitching and high overall quality. She said they are very comfortable and definitely more of a lifestyle shoe than a performance/ athletic shoe. The Nike branding is very minimal, if that is important to you. My girlfriend was surprised these were Nike because they didn't look like a typical Nike athletic shoe that she was used to. The gray colorway is nice and does not stand out in any way, if you're looking for something to blend into all your outfits. I think the score would be higher if they looked more Nike with more branding/style or were more overtly a chunky "dad shoe". The Nike Tech Hera is a great comfortable shoe that provides a stylish laidback look. It goes well with almost anything. The tongue of the shoe is cushioned and feels very soft. The mid sole is very thick which provides comfort and absorbs the ground contact. I love the laces and the lace aglets! This is overall a great sneaker with a stylish relevant/retro look!Again, this is a more casual laidback sneaker; not exactly a performance shoe. The traction is not the greatest, which I wouldn’t recommend performing lateral movements in. The toe box area is pretty slim so if you are a person with wide feet, I would recommend going up half a size.

Great vintage-looking shoe for casual or gym!
18 March 2023

This is an awesome, vintage-looking pair of shoes that gives off 90’s vibes. Love the neutral / muted color way. The silhouette is just beautiful and you’ll get a lot of compliments. Looks very unique and will turn heads. Very well-made. Even the swoosh on the side looks vintage. It runs very true to size and is friendly to wide-footers. Because it’s so aesthetically pleasing, I would recommend it for casual / lifestyle use like an Air Force 1. However, if ladies want to use it at the gym it’s also very functional because it’s so stable. Traction, support, and comfort are great. Lacing is good and the tongue is very padded. Not the most breathable shoe though. Would be fine in the weight room — as long as you don’t run because these definitely are not running shoes. ... MoreThis is an awesome, vintage-looking pair of shoes that gives off 90’s vibes. Hera takes the Windy City!

The perfect travel shoe doesn’t exiiii!!!!!! I am so glad my wife enjoyed taking this shoe on her latest girls trip. Typically needing to get wider shoes or a half size up, she had 0 issues getting this sneaker on her feet and absolutely loved the color combination as it allowed for versatility for her time in Chicago. She was able to dress this shoe down and up and she transitioned from the airport to the pub crawl for St. Patty’s festivities. As bulkier sneakers have been the trend for some time now, the Nike Tech Hera does not fall short of design in any shape way or form. In her words, “dad shoes could never!” Outside of style, she was pleased to report that she did not have to transition into other footwear outside of a formal dinner on her 4 day trip. While exploring the city she was wearing the shoes a minimum of 6hrs each day and never felt a need to take them off as the foam never lost its bounce which was greatly appreciated. The only gripe she had was how easily the materials got dirty! Grazing a sidewalk wasn’t game over but she definitely could tell the difference of a color change from the start of the trip and after putting them to the test in the Windy City Streets!

These shoes are very comfortable for walks and errand running. With little effort they slide right on and off, that is a bonus. For the comfort, 10 out of 10! They are made for those that have slightly wider feet. My feet did not feel bunched up like other sneakers I have that are similar.I wore the sneakers all day long just to get a good feel for them. My days usually include a 2 mile walk, chasing kids around, working from home and simple errands like the grocery store. I honestly forgot the shows were on while I was working from home. The shoes gave all day comfort as if they were put on for the first time every time. They gave a real light and airy feel. The colors are great neutrals that can go with and outfit or workout gear. Nike Tech Hera, Heavy and Old!
17 March 2023

When I opened the box and pulled out the Nike Tech Hera shoes, my first reaction was "these are very heavy and the sole is hard." I put them on and walked around a bit, at first in the house just to see how they felt on my feet. They are definitely snug from a fit perspective, I did not feel light on my feet in these shoes! I decided to wear them all day to see if my perspective changed, and they did loosen up a bit and get more comfortable, but still felt stiff and rigid on my feet.As for the look of the shoe, I am not a fan of the white sole and it snakes up the side which I think contributes to how hard the shoe feels. However, the overall style felt a bit "old" to me, much like a shoe my 65 year old mom would wear. If from a market perspective, that is the target audience for the shoe, then they would probably love them. But for me personally, I wouldn't consider the style as modern or current, I would say it is dated and something that looks recycled from the early 2000s.

Run Small
7 February 2024

First, when these arrived there was no stuffing in the shoes so they were already deformed. Seems like a really basic thing so I’m surprised Nike neglected this.Second, these RUN SMALL. This is the worst part. I never have to size up in shoes, not even half a size. But now I will have to return these to size up. This is not something I would imagine happening with Nike and is very annoying.Third, the quality in general is kind of lacking. Not a huge deal to me since I don’t plan on working out in these. Even the laces are too short? I constantly have to retie them because they are not long enough to properly tie. So strange, I have never had this issue before.2 stars because they look really cool and that’s all I really care about. Surprisingly Comfortable
14 March 2023

These shoes really surprised me. They look much better on foot than they do in pictures or in the box. These shoes run true to size, but are a bit snug at the same time. These shoes go great with athletic and casual wear, and look good with any socks you pair with them. I prefer the look of shorts with these shoes, but didn't care much for how they look with jeans. You could definitely lift weights or do cardio in these shoes. They are easily comfortable enough to wear all day long. I also like the unique look of the shoe. It doesn't look similar to any other shoe out there in my opinion. The colors are perfect too. They light gray and white allows you to wear these with any color outfit that you'd like. Highly recommend these shoes to anyone considering them.
