Comfortable Freak 1s and first class Nike customer service.

Being a huge fan of the Greek Freak and never ever having any signature shoe before, I had to get these Freak 1s to ball in. Though I haven't had to chance to see how these shoes will do on court, first impressions of them are positive. They do fit a half size smaller so I recommend getting a half size up. They fit snug, but not too tight. Just enough to feel confident they won't slip on you while balling. Feels a bit rigid but I haven't even walked on these yet so will see how they are after the proper break in period.Back to the fit, my orginal true to size pair was a bit snug so I reached out to Nike about exchanging them. They processed everything and I received my next pair in a week. Great customer service and they really do want to take care of you. A+

Excellent shoe, reflects Giannis' personality

It was worth the wait for Giannis' signature shoe. These are comfortable for everyday wear and for playing ball. My nephews love them too. I got these from the Nike truck at the MVP celebration in the summer. After Giannis gave each of us in line a high five, couldn't help but buy these. :) Well done, Nike.

Good looking, but falls apart quickly.

I love the color, fit, and the shoes are very comfortable. I used them for practice and games for four months and they are falling apart. The sole at the front of the foot is separating from the actual shoe. And the inside of the shoes where the top of the laces are wore down really fast, almost within a month of use. If you are someone who gets new shoes for every season these could work, but more long term use won’t hold up.

Great basketball shoe
5 July 2020

Best basketball shoe I've had by far. Never had to deal with blisters or any foot or ankle pain throughout a good 6 months of usage. Relatively light and feel like an extension of my foot, not like something is dragging around below me. My first pair finally has broken down so now I am getting another pair of them, no other shoe I've had really compared.

Respect to Giannis
10 July 2019

Shoes is very comfortable. I love the set up of zoom unit because I usually go explosive using my fore foot so, I wanted less cushion on that area, which this shoes completely covers what I want. Also, I love heel area being rounded so that, I was able to make a quick transition with less step. only down side is the fore foot lace locking tabs seems like it will rip off with multiple wears, I feel like if there was another lace hole in between each lace tab set up would have been much better in my opinion.

Snug fit and pretty comfortable, traction gets better with use
9 March 2020

I've had these shoes for about a week now and played on 3 different indoor courts. The first time playing, the traction was not great but it was on a very dusty court and honestly the traction has improved after a week of play. I wear a size 10 in just about every other shoe (converse, dress shoes, clarks), but a size 10 in this was very tight especially in the toes. Returned the size 10 for a 10.5 and it's a great fit. Overall, i'm happy with my purchase and look forward to putting these on before playing.

Solid shoe. Go a half size up.
4 January 2020

I know all feet are different, but I’m really loving the look and comfort of these Freak 1s. Solid shoe, great construction, the grip is amazing in a quick stop and push laterally situation, like a crossover, and it’s no so bulky or heavy you feel it weighs you down. I wish I had gone a half size up just for a bit more room in the toe box, but otherwise I’m happy with these. At some point Nike should have a group of people sample and try on all the stuff for fit. I’m a 10 and that varies GREATLY across Nikes lineup of shoes. A 10 in Freak 1 is not the same as a 10 in Kobe Protro.

Tight Fit: Both Pair
17 May 2020

The shoes are nice, haven't worn them much so I can't speak on durability and performance but man do they fight tight. I wear a true size 10. I very rarely need to get a 10.5 or a wide version of a shoe. Got a 10 and could hardly take them. Exchanging them was simple (which I appreciate) so I got a 10.5. Those are better, but in all honesty, I still wouldn't describe them as comfortable. Friend of mine ordered the same ones when they were 50% off and he had the same issues.

Zero traction!!!
26 November 2019

I’ve had these shoes for 2 months and played on a dozen different hardwood courts and I cannot get past how awful the traction is. The first few times I played I figured the courts were just dusty and I’d have better luck another day or on other courts. But no matter the court or after a fresh sweeping these shoes lose traction on the slightly change of direction. Styling and comfort are great, but if your buying these to use for actual play they won’t stand up.

solid, serious shoe
19 October 2020

Bought this shoe just for looks and running around town - turns out it's a serious court shoe. Amazing lockdown, great traction on all surfaces. I bought my normal Nike size 12 and have a narrow foot, and this fits exactly on but very snug. If you have a wider foot, you might want half a size bigger. Great looking and gets a lot of comments - but definitely not a casual lounger shoe - this shoe is built to support and looks like it will last forever.
