This shoe is a major upgrade from the Freak 1 when it comes to style and performance. I currently play in LeBron 17s because of the cushion but the Freak 2 might just be my new basketball shoe! I could tell right off the break how well the shoe was holding my foot in place which is crucial because most shoes I feel like you have to break it in by playing a few games first. I really like how the heel and the forefoot are decoupled and I can feel the shank helping my stability while I play. I really like is how you can really feel that zoom air in the forefoot and also how lightweight the shoe was especially compared to the Lebron 17s. I normally play indoors but given the how good the traction of the shoe is it would be great for indoors and/or outdoors. Last but not least the reason I say this could be my new basketball shoe is the price point of $130! It’s not too often you can buy the league MVPs shoes for $130 and get your moneys worth in style and performance. Also in the days of people buying shoes for style over performance this shoe has a lot eye appeal. The oversized Nike logo on the midsole combined with the small details like his families’ name on the sole itself make this a shoe not only for ballers but for sneaker heads in general. Personally I can’t wait until the other colors of the Freak 2 drops so I can pick up more!

As soon as I saw this shoe, I knew that it was what I wanted for the upcoming season. I tried them on and they fit to size and were decently padded. When I laced up for my first practice, the were very tight on the tongue and my feet started to hurt after a few minutes. Now I have learned to lace them very loose, but enough to keep them on my feet. They feel quite clunky like a brick on your foot and there isn't too much padding on the bottom, so my heels and knees began to hurt after a few practices. I have owned these for maybe 4 months and the materials are starting to fall apart slightly after about 3 uses a week for basketball only. I bought some LeBron's last year and will buy another pair for the upcoming AAU season.

I love these shorts, the length is shorter than typical gym shorts which for me is nice. I use them for lifting in the gym but also like to trail run in them. I was looking for a pair of shorts that had a cool look but were not super baggy like basketball shorts. These are perfect. I have a medium to larger body build with larger legs than say a guy thats a runner. 5'11 and 185. I can tell you tho I tried on the Smalls, Mediums and Larges and i usually wear Medium gym shorts or a 33 waist with jeans sometimes 34 depending on the brand and I was debating on even getting the size small bc i wanted a more athletic fit. I was in the dressing room doing squat motions to see how the shorts would ride up my legs as i bent my legs and to tell you the truth i was a little ... MoreI love these shorts, the length is shorter than typical gym shorts which for me is nice. But i did go with medium at the end and so far I'm glad i did. These things are awesome for a guy that like to hit the gym, do trail running or go play basketball. And one more side note: They are really comfortable with out boxers on so that to me was an added bonus so i sleep in these things too. I am deff going to get a few more pair in the future, too me they are a little expensive but I believe in buying quality gear and these are pretty nice.

When I received these shoes, you could tell they were obviously worn previously. The soles were dirty, there were creases in the shoe, and the laces were pulled super tight. You could tell someone didn't fit the shoes, but tried to force it by lacing up the shoes as tight as possible and wore them around before finally giving up and returning them. Since these were on sale, I didn't really bother returning them. I redid the laces and just decided to roll with them. Otherwise, the shoes feel great when moving around. The shoes look bigger than they actually are due to the design and cushioning, but like with most Nike products - they run true to size (as long as you actually know your shoe size). As for them being used, I use them shoot around outdoors, so I figured I'd just keep them and roll with it since they're gonna get messed up anyways. I'm just surprised that they would send me a very obviously used product. All that aside, I would highly recommend this product. Get them new in-store if possible though!
I absolutely love Giannis Antetokounmpo and was excited when his signature shoe, The Freak 2 was announced and even impressed that he and Nike decided to list them at a moderate "throw back" [to the 90s] price of $120-$130 instead of over-priced, limited availability of the LeBron James' line which strive to be a bigger signature line than The Jordan Brand! I was also quite pleased to see that the Freak 2 came in a variety of color ways including a nearly all black but with enough swag to not look like a boring "Dad Shoe". I ordered 2 pairs with the hope that I'd be able to wear at least one of the two sizes [10.5 & 11], with my avnormally narrow foot for a "big guy". I will say that I have not had my foot measured in years, so it is possible that my foot is no longer as narrow as it had been. These shoes felt as if I was putting on a shoe that was designed with a woman's foot in mind, here is no way I could wear this shoe for 5 minutes let alone "all day" as this website claimed. Again, it is possible that my foot has widened, especially since I had a similar issue with a pair of Jordan Brand (Maxin 200). I definitely recommend having your foot measured if at possible so you get the right size & fit, but keep in mind that NIKE do tend to run on the "narrow to less than true to size" spectrum.
My son got these for his aau and school basketball season. He has never had a problem with basketball shoes as he has a lot and basketball is his favorite thing. The second he put these shoes on he had tight calves witch was a start, plantar fasciitis, arch pain and heel pain. He could not run and take long strides like he usually does because he is a long lengthy guard. The Grip is also horrible very slippery and he couldn't do a crossover without having to stop too check his ankle. We had too get him Kyrie 6 shoe and right off the bat you could see the improvement his arch was feeling so much better and the cushioning is perfect the traction is AMAZING I would defiantly recommend the Kyrie 6s,Lebrons or anything else Paul Georges often have the same problem.
The look amazed me in person and I loved how the model reminded me of the Kobe line. I loved the traction as soon as I stepped on the court. It was responsive and I never slipped once, it was a major step up from the freak 1s where I would have to keep on wiping after a few plays. And lastly the comfort was also a step up from the freak 1s, it was plush and sweet to my foot. The flaws or grudges I had on my brief time was the ventilation and maybe a longer lasting traction. My feet did get hot after 4 hours of play but it was 4 hours non stop. Lastly the traction as it was amazing the nubs on the side seem to be depleting but to note I did play outside once. Overall a great shoe with amazing traction and a step up in comfort and fit. From driving to a quick stop to a jumper I never felt worried about my ankles!
Well first and foremost, the design in my opinion is flawless from the hints of his Greek origin, to his shoutouts to his family are all amazing! The fit is perfect and true to size, great heel and forefoot lockdown! It feels a lot similar to the Kobe signature line and that line was top tier. The cushioning with the air zoom felt as if you are walking on clouds and it’s just amazing. This colorway of this shoe is great but I know there are future colorways releasing that will make this shoe 10x better on the court! My favorite thing about this shoe is the traction, a good squeak to it along with it feeling like it is reliable in the forefoot and heel! Overall a 9.5/10 shoe! Once these colorways come out it will be a 10/10!
No blisters but my foot was abit hotProbably becuz of the material the ventilation could have been better but I guess for the price point it’s decentI would like Nike to slim down the usage on the clear outsoles becuz for one they do tend wear faster on court both indoor and outdoor and also they tend to yellow much quickerBut the traction was surprisingly good since I really do enjoy herringbone these were solid for being clear sole I definitely enjoyed the cushioning system with the forefoot zoomI kinda wish Nike would go back to using full length zoom like one of my favorite all time hoops shoes the Nike Zoom Turbine and Nike Zoom BBThe traction was really good considering the dust in the gym was badThe cut of the shoe is perfectIt’s not a low but not a ... MoreNo blisters but my foot was abit hotProbably becuz of the material the ventilation could have been better but I guess for the price point it’s decentI would like Nike to slim down the usage on the clear outsoles becuz for one they do tend wear faster on court both indoor and outdoor and also they tend to yellow much quickerBut the traction was surprisingly good since I really do enjoy herringbone these were solid for being clear sole I definitely enjoyed the cushioning system with the forefoot zoomI kinda wish Nike would go back to using full length zoom like one of my favorite all time hoops shoes the Nike Zoom Turbine and Nike Zoom BBThe traction was really good considering the dust in the gym was badThe cut of the shoe is perfectIt’s not a low but not a mid just perfectThe shoe feels very fastOverall I definitely enjoyed these ALOT more than the Freak1And the material on these Freak2 do feel more durable
they were amazing! I got to play in them last night and I loved it. It was the first time wearing the shoes and I didn’t get any blisters, they’re extremely comfortable to play in! I’d rate it a 5 out of 5 for two main reasons. The comfort was noticeable right away, and the control while playing was incredible. The shoe responded exactly how I wanted it to every time and every move I made felt like I had complete control. The durability and materials of the shoe seem better than the first generation so I was impressed with that as well. The fit was good, the width was right on. The shoe feels like the toe is a little longer than the first generation so that took a little while to adjust to but besides that it fit great!
