I get runners knee quite often, but the past week I've worn these (including an 11 miler), I've felt no pain. These are probably the most comfortable running shoes I've worn in a long time. These fit true to size and they don't feel restrictive at all. I've been running in the Epic Reacts recently, but I will now add these to my rotation. Not only do they perform well but they look great too!

Nike is my go-to brand for fitness attire and shoes, and I appreciate their ingenuity when it comes to their running shoe designs. While these shoes were very comfortable, fit well, and looked amazing, the foam on both shoes tore away at the heel after 30 days of use. I think it may have something to do with the extended foam "tip" at the back of the shoe. I also noticed that this "tip" acted as a shovel and would occasionally lift and launch pebbles and other small debris from the roads and into my legs while I ran.I am back on this site now getting a new pair. I find this experience to be rare when purchasing Nike, so don't let it dissuade you from purchasing their shoes. That said, I may avoid this model for awhile. Admittedly I owe these a few more workouts before making an ultimate assessment, but wanted to offer a few early reactions. I bought these to serve as my primary running shoe for Barry's workouts (treadmill and floor/bench weight work), but it seems they may be better suited to road running. They seem to encourage a great, bouncy stride for forefoot strikers. I'm a bit of a bit of a midfoot strikers, so these are definitely for tempo runs. One thing I noticed immediately is that they are VERY slippery, even on rubber mats. I realize this is likely due to some stripping back of the rubber tread, but beware those that run over slick surfaces or even in the rain. Also, the lacing system is...odd. I'm still working on the right fit that will prevent them from becoming ... MoreAdmittedly I owe these a few more workouts before making an ultimate assessment, but wanted to offer a few early reactions. Must not under/overpronate - Have to have neutral foot
13 January 2020

The shoe is attractive and very lightweight and fits comfortable and snug. Easily accommodated my wide toe-box. My issue is that the sole of the shoe is extremely narrow, and my heel felt as if it was going over the edge of the cliff and was not supported laterally. If my stride was neutral, I have no doubt this shoe would fly, but I can't give it 5 stars if I can't use it myself. I dealt with this in some of the HOKA ONE shoes as well where you feel "high" and "on-top" of the sold as opposed to seated into the heel cup of the shoe. I am a larger runner at 6'6 and 235lbs and size 14 shoe, and was looking for this as more a speed shoe for my under 2 mile runs and timed benchmarks. The shoe's "v-shaped" tapered heel made this feel even less stable as it was easier to roll the foot inward or outward as the heel became even more narrow towards the back. I have been using the ON- Cloud X for Orange Theory/HIIT training and I use the Brooks Glycerine for road running because they are substantially cushioned.

My Favorite Shoe BUT HORRIBLE QUALITY
6 August 2020

First off I would like to say that this is by far my favorite running shoe! The Aesthetic and feel of the shoe just adds so much confidence when I wear them. The performance I get out of the light weight design is amazing! I loved these shoes so much that I took extra good care of my Pegasus Turbo 2. Kept a tide pen on me at all times and only wore them for special occasions or days I just wanted to feel so good in the gym/running! My first concern happened when after only 4 wears I noticed the foam was starting to crack; by this time I was past my 30 day return window and just prayed they would last and wore them very rarely. By my 15th wear (Never ran outside with them - only indoor gym work) The foam at the heel had ripped off from the shoe. By my 15th wear (Never ran outside with them - only indoor gym work) The foam at the heel had ripped off from the shoe. It's still wearable but air gets trapped between the foam sole and bottom fabric which makes for interesting noises at times. Since then I can't really use them for running since it messes with my gait but I use these shoes now as my casual gym shoe. This shoe experience has been by far the most disappointing with Nike - my favorite shoe but the quality is not worth the price.

Really wanted to like them... but they fell apart

So let me start off by saying that I love Nike and will continue to be a loyal customer. BUT these shoes were the biggest letdown. The durability of my pair was horrible. I purchased 2 pairs of the turbo 1 last year (one for training and one for racing) and rotated them between running workouts with no problems at all (I never use my running shoes work weight training). I bought 1 pair of the 2’s because my pair from last year is still completely fine and still rotate. In the past month and a half I have probably put in 60-80 miles, never in the rain or on gravel. Last weekend I went out for my long run and felt my right foot slipping, I just thought the laces were loose. Nope. Needless to say I was/am incredibly upset about them as I was planning on wearing them for my Ironman in December. And well 180$ was flushed down the toilet. Won’t be buying a second pair and actively looking for a different shoe. Very long story short, I didn’t have a great experience with this shoe and wouldn’t recommend them for an endurance athlete.

This is my first review, so it'll involve rambling, so I apologize in advance. After about 40 miles I'm still trying to figure out if I enjoy these as much as the Lunar Epic 2s and RN Distance (why did you stop making those!?!! gah! my fave!)As soon as you slip them on about halfway you can tell how amazing the cushioning is. I was worried about the toe box, but it stretches and breaks in during your first run and haven't had a problem with it being too tight. You definitely have to tighten the laces pretty good otherwise I felt like my foot was sliding within the shoe a little TOO much. Harder than the lunar epic 2s in my opinion, but very light and frankly felt cool running in them.I don't FEEL the bounce back that was advertised, but maybe that's the point? I run about 120-150 miles a month and times have held steady - though the recent NH humidity has been terrible, so maybe I actually am doing better than I think.Style wise they are beautiful colors and I get compliments constantly. I gave them 4 stars b/c:a)i'm not done deciding if these will work for me and my particular feetb)I'm not sure they are worth the $180 price tag.c)I miss the 4mm offset of the original rn distanceI will give them a good work out the next week and then decide if I need to return them - at this point I am leaning toward keeping them. Thanks for reading!

The best cushioning system out right now

I've worn a lot of Nike runners/trainers in my life and this is far and away the most comfortable pair I've ever put on my feet. The react and zoom x come together to form a pillow for your feet. The zoom x is very soft while the react in the bottom of the heel gives you responsiveness. One thing about the soles, the midsole gets dirty easily and also creases a lot, and the outsole does not seem very durable. I would be concerned about the longevity of these for outdoor running but I plan to use these as walking shoes. Maybe it will hold up though who knows. The upper is dual mesh which is gonna be a pain to keep clean but should also be more durable. Wonderful Running Shoe

I have had these shoes since August 2019. I run about 40 miles a week, so I have put around 1,400 miles on these shoes. I typically would have gone through two other shoes by now, but these shoes have had amazing durability, so I haven't felt the need to upgrade. Amazingly, they still have tread on the bottom on them. This has been by far my favorite running shoe in the past decade. They're very comfortable and light with excellent traction on the pavement. The only sign of wear is the bottom of the heel is starting to separate. Look at the pics for clarification. If you're thinking these shoes aren't worth the money, I couldn't disagree more. This has been the best money I have spent on running shoes in a long time. I am going to buy the exact same shoe this month. ... MoreI have had these shoes since August 2019.
