I love the function of these shoes as I am a track and field enthusiast. I need great stability and adaptly to adjust to different terrains. After a while in my current shoes doing track I can lose my balance at times. I have not had that happen wearing these shoes! The strap keeps my foot in place and I love the bright color as they make them more fun to wear. I have a bigger foot and the size 12 fit perfectly!

This shoe is very bright which really makes you stand out in the track. The leases are firm yet thick which is helpful because you don’t have to worry about your shoes becoming on tide in the middle of a race. I appreciate that shoes Come with a bag so that you keep your shoes clean and separated from your clothes in your workout bag. The one thing I really didn’t like about the shoes that it is very narrow if you have a wide foot or even average size put is probably best if you go at least a half size up to make sure that the shoes are comfortable. I have ran with these maybe seven or eight times and each time my pinky toe was super red after because the shoes are very very narrow and I have wide feet. other than that I love the shoe

I have thrown the discus for the past 30 years and coach the discus as well. Whenever a parent asks, I always point to my own pair of Zoom Rotational shoes and tell them that these are the shoes that you want to buy for your child. They are the best throwing shoes you will find. In college, we were sponsored by another brand and I was forced to use those other shoes for a while, but I always went back to my Nike shoes during the summers when training back at home. You will want these shoes if your child throws the discus or uses the spin technique while throwing the shot put. These are designed specifically for spinning. The SD throwing shoes will be more helpful than basketball shoes or other athletic shoes, but they do not perform as well as these zoom rotational shoes. So if you can afford to pay a little more for these, then it is definitely worth the splurge to get the right tool for the job.As far as comparing these to other brands, I noticed that other brands have softer, thinner soles. One even had dimples on the sole for traction, but that sort of defeats the purpose when you are spinning because you want a hard, smooth surface to help with your speed. It makes it much easier to spin that way. You would not need the traction if you have good technique and are balanced through the throw. These shoes also last a very long time. Buying them freshman year lasted me through my senior year in high school and I practiced more than anyone I knew. The only reason I am not giving these shoes 5 stars is because the color options are too ugly for my tastes. I am going to hold off on replacing my shoes I've used for the past 5 seasons to see what the options are going to be like next year.

Full throttle

Just wow. These shoes are fire. Comfortable, supportive, firm but flexible. Good airflow for breathability, and super lightweight for speed. I love the neon green look, the hook & loop closure to secure the laces, and the roomy toe box. Oh, excellent arch support too, though it took some getting used to for my flat feet- best for people with moderate-to-high arches. Came with a carry bag to bring along to meets. All you really need to Zoom.I don’t know yet if they’ll help me set a new PR, but my feet have never felt so supported, so I bet I’ll see results. Highly recommend.

Good Overall Throwing Shoe
24 November 2020

If you are a hammer thrower these are very nice shoes especially in the first week. They feel like butter in the ring in the first week. But after some time especially in a rougher ring, the soles will start to melt quickly. And after about 5 months they will have a hole in your lead leg right around the ball of your foot. But the heel is perfect for turning on to or getting a nice clean heal and will virtually never wear. Works very well for all other throws with no issue. Can be a perfect all around shoe for throwers without a doubt.

Nice Shoe but Incredibly Narrow
20 December 2021

These shoes have a striking, attractive colorway. The laces are high quality, and the Velcro strap over the laces provides extra support and stability. The mesh panels make the shoe more breathable. Unfortunately, I was barely able to get this shoe on my foot, let alone wear it for an extended period of time. This brand tends to run narrow, but this goes even beyond that.

Save yourself the money. Won't let me attach imag

Used 3x and the bottoms shredded. Dicks won't accept used items for a return so now I have to pay more money to Nike to start a return or exchange process. Save yourself the money and dont purchase!!

This release of Nike 6s are a complete failure.
4 February 2019

After owning many pairs of Nike Zoom Rotational 6s, I am sorry to say, but the new release (purple) are an absolute failure. After one session the sole started to delaminate and chunks and strips of rubber came off. I was in what would be considered a very smooth circle too.Thinking that maybe I was just unlucky, I checked with other Throwers in the area that have bought the new purple 6s and they have all had the same problem. The sole fails. The shoe feels slower and the rubber sole feels softer.Unless Nike can fix this issue, I will never buy their throws shoes again. What a complete waste of hard earned money.

Very Dissapointed
24 May 2019

I owned a pair of Nike SDs for about a year and they broke. Did not think much of it because I got a lot of wear out of them for being a college level thrower. I ordered a new pair of SDs and had them for only 2 weeks, with a total of 10 days of wear and they also broke. I was not sure if it was just the SDs so I sent them back and decided to try the Rotationals. I had them for only ONE WEEK and they also broke. All three of the shoes I purchased broke in the same exact area. There has to be a defect in the shoe and do not recommend buying Nike throwing shoes. Very disappointed in the quality from such a reputable brand.
