The Nike ZoomX Vaporfly Next% for men and women are competition running shoes for serious athletes. The Vaporfly Next% is the successor of the Vaporfly 4% Flyknit. These fast, unisex competition running shoes are lighter in weight than their predecessors. They only weigh an astonishing 174 grams. The Vaporweave upper is one of the main reason that these shoes weigh so little. This lightweight upper stays lightweight throughout your runs because it doesn't sponge up water and is highly breathable. The material has been made as thin and as strong as possible. The ZoomX midsole of the ZoomX Vaporfly Next% has 15% more ZoomX foam than the midsole of the Vaporfly 4% Flyknit. The foam offers very responsive cushioning. Thanks to the effective shock absorption and a very high energy return you will run far more efficient than with most other competition running shoes. The Carbon Fiber plate of the Vaporfly 4% Flyknit has also been used in the construction of the ZoomX Vaporfly Next%. This plate propels you forward and adds to the shoes' high energy return. Although 15% more cushioning material has been added to the shoes, the shoes keep their lightweight. The outsole features deep grooves, especially at forefoot height. These deep grooves provide grip in different weather conditions, but also ensure traction when running through bends at high velocities. The new Nike ZoomX Vaporfly Next% has been designed for breaking marathon records.

These shoes are incredible. Definitely for racing and not a daily trainer. They fit true to size for me. They fit tight with plenty of room in the toe box, but they are supposed to fit tight, it is a racing shoe not a daily trainer, would highly recommend!

Fourth pair of Nike Zoomfly Next% and it’s the best $1000 I’ve shelled out to help my running. Great cushioning while lightweight. Awesome energy return! The running shoe I’ve always wanted but didn’t think they were capable of making.

I already have pink and green and was excited for this new color mix. These shoes have helped me increase speed and I am amazed at the comfort level.Pros: Light. Great support (I am an over-pronator so I am careful with shoes - I think these are considered neutral).Cons: Expensive (though worth it). Toe box height is short. They are race shoes I think, so you cannot use these every day for high mileage. I use them a couple days a week. They will not last as long as regular running shoes.—-These are awesome shoes. I have increased my speed and will continue to look for new colors.

I must say I am extremely pleased with these shoes!! This is the best pair of shoes I have ever worn. I was somewhat hesitant about the price but they are worth it. I completely feel like I am running on air. I have bad knees so they usually hurt after running. However, I do not experience half the pain as I normally would. The only problem is that my son keeps trying to steal my shoes..lol (He and I wear the same size.). So now it looks like I am going to have to get him a pair too.
These shoes are fast and improved my five K time by 15 seconds, but they where also looking very beat up after only three races. They back heel is literally coming off the shoe. I'm very dissatisfied with these shoes and wish I could return. $250 is a very high price tag on only three races. Nike come on, y'all know durability is probably the most important when it comes to average consumers. Why not make a more durable pair for less extreme runners and a fast, light, less durable pair for extreme athletes.
I was somewhat skeptical about the "incredible" performance of these shoes that I was reading online. Well I picked up a pair the other day, and I'm simply blown away by them. Absolutely crushed several PRs on a training run after picking them up. Could not be more happy with this product, and can't wait to see what I'll do in my upcoming race with them.
Was skeptical, but given the test run at store bought my first pair. Very light and fit very well to my feet. Started with a short run of 5km and was effortlessly running over a minute a mile faster. The recoil is truly amazing and you spring into action. Have to be aware that your ankles will feel it with the different support. For my longer run again over 15 km was faster without feeling tired. Will have to see how long these last with the cushioning, but impressed so far for a nonprofessional runner.
I've finally moved on the Next %, despite still having 4% Flyknits in my rotation, I could no longer resist getting a pair to see for myself if the well known shortcomings of the Flyknits were addressed. The answer is a resounding, yes!To my amazement, even the comfort of the flyknit fit (IMO, it's strongest characteristic) was matched with the new upper. The fit in my normal shoe size is perfect on my foot, but I wouldn't want the shoe even the tiniest bit smaller. The outsole is such a huge improvement and while I haven't experienced first hand yet, I'm thoroughly convinced that water retention will be less in these shoes than the 4% flyknits. I'm not really convinced there's any real advantage to the offset lacing, but nor do I find anything negative about it ... MoreI've finally moved on the Next %, despite still having 4% Flyknits in my rotation, I could no longer resist getting a pair to see for myself if the well known shortcomings of the Flyknits were addressed. I'm not really convinced there's any real advantage to the offset lacing, but nor do I find anything negative about it other than it being a little awkward.I can't speak to performance (or durability) yet, as I've only worn the Next %s on a brief break-in run to check for any obvious issues. I've run 7 marathons in the Vapor Fly Flyknits and I estimate I've experienced about a 1-2% improvement in finish times as a result of wearing the magic shoe. I don't really expect to see much of a performance difference between the 4%s and the Next %s, but 15% more foam obviously means more cushioning. As well, the shoe weight dropped, even with the additional foam. Performance enhancement is often the main talking point about these shoes (and a nice feature!), but honestly, the immense amount of cushioning per unit weight is what truly makes this the best marathon shoe I have ever worn by a wide margin.BUT, there's just one thing.....NIKE... PLEASE make a colorway that isn't so polarizing. As much as I wanted to buy these shoes, I debated it for days, trying to convince myself I liked the Hakone because I sure wasn't going with hot pink. Reluctantly, I bought the Hakones- but to be blunt, I find them to look like a pair of mismatched, pastel clown shoes. There's no longer a need to make extreme colorways so everyone knows that all the front pack elites have a pair on at the marathon majors. The secret is out, everyone knows these are the best!
Just got mine this morning and went for a nice run with them on. The comfort cannot be explained, its just like running on a cloud with a bouncy spring to them. They did fit me a tad bit tight, but I am thinking it's because I had my socks on. Regardless, I don't regret dropping the $250 on them!
This shoe is an absolute upgrade from the flynit 4%. The shoe is much more comfortable and feels amazing on your feet. Initially, the shoe does feel rather clunky and to me I did have to break them in with about 10 miles before they felt solid. There is a much bigger toe box in these shoes compared to the 4% and the lower drop in the shoe feels more "normal".The biggest take away from this shoe has to be recovery. Normally after a hard effort you'd think your legs would feel pretty tired. From my experience with these shoes, that's not the case. My legs feel good with minimal soreness. In my opinion, the shoes are worth the money and after 30 miles in the shoes they still look great and so far are much more durable than the 4%'s.
